As for Reborn ... the team who finished it was ... well ... not liked those guys they are friendly with a certain person who does not like aircrafts, says all i think when it started there was a different team, that was kinda nice ... The second team was nice also ... tested for them For the other part ... i believe it is worth it ... if it keeps the original Renegade feeling without the bugs and glitches it will be awesome and i believe so

Oh yeah, probably ... cuz there are actual tiberium mutants as kind of a neutral race in TS (pic here) even tho, the visceroid is a mutant also, but well ... ------------------------------------------------ @Goober Trooper I remember on some renegade servermods it was possible to be "mutated" to a visceorid when picking a crate ... it was the funy way to hamper the player, compared to the deathcrate ... (You had to play as the visceorid) I feel it would be fun to have the option in the crate again ... BUT ... it should remain AI (no matter from crate or tiberium) ------------------------------------------------ The visceorid should be hard to kill with tanks and rockets ... but rifles should do serious damage ... and rapid healing while on tiberium ... but at the end .. if its ther its there ... up to the devs to decide how
  3. @permagrin That would be sooo nice I think the "Bot-Part" would not be so hard, since there already bots ... probably just change its behaviour to be hostile to anything or anyone that comes in range but the "if player die from tiberium - then spawn bot visceroid" might be some more work same to the part where the visceroid stays to the tiberium-damage-area to "defende" it but that might be thinking of the untaught player

I know that it is based on TD ... but it combines also the TW (Tiberium Wars ) Style with TD Style ... so why not bring TS in also? and since it is reimagined, after the saga found its (undeserving) end, it would do no harm ... but just thinking and dreaming ... even if that "cherry on the cream" does not become reality, I am 100% sure that RenegadeX will be awesome and I am still thankfull that this project was never given up like so many!

  7. I wonder, searching for "visceroid" just gave 2 results O_o Did you ever think of adding visceroids? Or maybe other stuff like the plants from TS (I loved the TS style) The old MutationRedux did a great job there (even if the map did not play that good)
  8. yep, I remember buying a character was like: Walk to PT and then press "use", number, number .... finish took maybe 3 seconds if you are slow and have to check the numbers, for more advanced players probably a second or less ofcourse the first few days it takes a while to learn, thats normal ... but then ^^
  9. I assume Airstrikes work like in the classic enemy territory for wolfenstein? there were even limits for airstrikes and there could only be 1 airstrike at a time (at least in one larger area)
  10. Are there all? I have seen so far: Walls Hourglass Islands Field Mesa I heared that Under will come later on ... and complex or canyon (forget which) So will there be: Complex? Canyon? City? Volcano? Complex was always fun, no BD ... so SBH always was dangerous ... GDI bombarding with its firepower while nod sneaked in ... the absolute classic C&C_mode Canyon, never was a map i liked a lot ... but seeing what you have accomplished ... could be good ... at the end i would say it would not be missed that much City, that was a fun map I think ... with the bridge, the stank-hole under the bridge behind the warfac/hand ... the straight sight for snipers ... City also could look very very awesome if it would be reimagined through you, even tho I would not change it too much (Ofcourse I talk about Flying) Volcano, was an ok-ish map ...the cave was kinda cool eyrcatcher (Imagine with the UDK) ... like Complex very classic C&C_mode ... I would love to see it again, mainly because of its high eyecandy potential if it is in your hands (Magama, Cave, a Canyon) Sorry if that was already somewhere, my search did not bring up a matching result

  12. yep you should not be able to choose the team, like in renny ... and shuffle b4 the map ... a new joining player always joins the team with less points or less players ... if the teams are unbalanced with more than 3 players there should be the option to switch to the losing team, but you should gain a reward for switching the team like 2000 credits, or a beacon ... i think 2000 credits would be good .. forcing balance in midd match sux ... i mostlikely leave the server, its annoying in ET:QW everyone in the team with more players get a message what says "Teams are unbalanced press Fx to change Team and you get 10XP reward" (something like that) the problem is that 10xp means nothing, so the reward is useless ... you need a reward what actually makes a player think it is worth switching, and makes him think he could probably change the situation even if the team is far behind ... with 2000 Credits the player could buy 2 beacons (or 1 with no pp) or a mammy or a pic or 2 meds for the team or 3 lights ... you get the point? btw ... this reward should only be for players who switch the team when the other team is 3+ players behind the team with more players, and maybe limited to 2 players (available again if 1 player who switched b4 is leaving the server) this could convince some players to switch ... and even convince some players to not leave the server cuz there might be a teamoriented player (with credits) who changes the team i think that would be an idea ... hope you understand what i mean

  15. the enemy should be shown as long as he is in the FOV of a friendly unit, and for a couple of seconds after he left the FOV ... i not like to talk about later versions, cuz i know there is still alot to do, but maybe in the future on custom maps there could be a building what makes enemies (in a decent range around the base) visible ... the comcenter or conyard ... maybe it also could detect stealthed units (ONLY ON RADAR NOT FOR THE PLAYERS VIEW)

    all the answers you need are inside this forum dude ... you can exactly find what the plan is ... the next patch will probably just fix some bugs ... like all patches ... then later on will be an update with all the contend of the original renegade... after a couple of more patches there will be an other update with more new contend what is notr in the original game ... and after that ... TIME WILL TELL correct me if i am wrong but thats how i understand the plan about ingame moderators ... i think this comes with UT itself ... i am sure there already peopl with admin/mod powers out there for the rest just read the FAQ and the INTERVIEWS ... there are tons of informations in there
  17. now i played the first time a real match with enough players it feels so much like renegade even tho it is not exactly the same ... but for me, who hasnt played in many month, it really feels like a 95% copy of renegade ... and somehow it is funy to see some of the bugs of w3d are ported too i think thats a general thing how 3d engeneering worx ... like the repairgun is missing its beam when you to close to the struckture you are repairing ... or floating mines but the point is ... EA is not forcing you to rellease it unfinished it brought back some memories ... thank you ... very good very good !!!! keep up! //edit btw i would like the old hud aswell ... sorry for the dev who made the current one ... it really is not that good ...
