  1. Daybreak has all the buildings. It's a massive map.
  2. Hey all, DaKuja has made some changes to his map in anticipation for patch 5.004 and is looking for people to test the map and report bugs/issues. If you would like to test the map, the 'ConstructiveTyranny.com Eyes 5.004 Preview' server has a fast auto-download (with the unavoidable 30 sec timeout). If your internet isn't fast enough to DL the map directly from the server, here's a manual download link for it: DOWNLOAD
  3. So sorry about this mess people... *deletes* Lol just delete it. You don't need to inform the world you're doing your job as a forum moderator.
  4. @windowsXp bro, if you're so smart, why the fuck are you still using Windows xp? Upgrade to Windows 7 at least dude. This isn't 2002 anymore.
  5. Good work, DaKuja! Looking forward to seeing how it looks.
  6. I love you, Yoshi.
  7. Canvas for now, though I might get Roxez to toss it into Flash. I already have the Canvas version scale text by resolution anyway. +Added Mine counter to cross-hair when Proximity mines are selected This will go a long way. The patch has some awesome QoL enhancements that will seriously help this game. Good work!
  8. And that hopefully will never happen. Sidearms are already OP. They definitely don't need more ammo.
  9. If the pp were replaced with a ref I think it would be interesting. There would only be one harvester and when it dies, it wouldn't respawn. That would add an interesting mechanic

  11. In my opinion, sidearms should be used when either: 1) Your main weapon is out of ammo 2) Your main weapon isn't fit for the current range/type of fight Currently sidearms are preferred over lots of classes main weapons in all scenarios and I'm not really a fan of that
  12. While this may be a bit harsh, I agree with the overall message. Sometimes less is more. Walls is the most played map and it's so simple. Maps should be made with a form follows function mentality.
  13. I like this! The rock does look incredibly out of place but those bigger entrances will do a lot for the map I think.
  14. The Renegade-X monthly leaderboards have returned and have been reset! Be sure to check your rank often and talk LOTS of smack to your friends! The leaderboards will be reset roughly every month so don't get too comfortable if you climb to the top Keep in mind: the leaderboards require you to run Steam so if you haven't yet downloaded Steam, now is a good time to grab it! Steam Download Check your rank here: Monthly Leaderboard
  15. I've noticed that the official CDN servers have amazing bandwidth and rock solid connections. I can DL at 100 mbit/sec from a Czech server and I live in the middle of the US! I think the CDN servers should have an 'Recommended' tag next to them so people will be more apt to DL from those servers as they provide a much better experience in my opinion. People have had issues with the CT server in EU and although it's clearly labeled a US server, they still DL from there anways... smh... I think labeling the official ones as recommended will help alleviate this.
  16. I think this would maybe be a good time to have a full new build if that isn't too much of a pain in the ass.
  17. These are some solid changes. Looking forward to the new release although let's be real, it's probably okay that it's not coming out in the immediate future as we have more pressing issues on our hands.
  18. Topic locked until further notice. The people who need to be in contact are already in contact. If anyone would like to assist, please PM me and I'll get you involved.
  19. For the hundredth time: knowing who it is does nothing for us.
  20. It's always tough doing teams. Also people randomly go AFK and people fail to switch to the proper team, it's always tough unfortunately.
  21. There isn't enough man power (and will power) to implement something like this. You would need new graphic assets as well as the programming to make the building behave. In addition you would need a mapper to add this building to maps. Aside from an implementation stand point, from a balance standpoint this is very highly a strong get stronger mechanic. Once you have the building it's cake to hold it with vehicles.
  22. The server runs in WINE. No idea about the client though.
  23. Ask yourself, why TmX and EKT always get ddosed, when it fills up. When people go to the "DDoS Proof" server the attack stops. Strange, right? I got a nice theory for that. I'm pretty sure i'm right with it, but well, got no proof. Guess most people won't believe me. The attacks don't simply stop. Please don't spout your nonsense especially when you definitely have next to no idea what you're talking about. Here's why my mitigation works. This is a screenshot of a trace-route being run to my server while it' s NOT being DDOSed. Even when it's not attacked, the mitigation is already up and ready to rock. All packets are going through the anti-DDOS firewall and filters even when there isn't an imminent attack. It's proactive, not reactive like the mitigation other servers are using. I worked side by side with my server provider to tune the anti-DDOS and make sure legit clients don't get caught in the crossfire. Having shitty reactive protection is like getting punched in the face and then putting your fists up 2 minutes later to block the punch. Not so effective, is it?
