  1. Just make it until they say something. Mainly, if you are not making money off of their IP, then most likely they wont even notice you.
  2. I think that this problem has nothing to do with AI. Believe simply adjusting weight/mass of objects should change this outcome.

  4. Not only that. Most of the time when a lot are repairing, like the way your are speaking, it is usually due to not having $$ so they are repairing for $$. Limiting the number of people able to repair at one time, you limit the number of people that can gain money by repairing at one time.
  5. Free character should not have an easy time killing tanks, then there would be no point in spending money on tanks when free people an kill them. Keep in mind, while free characters have a hard time with heavy armor, they can still toss timed C4, and (for example) free flamethrowers can make short work of light armored vehicle, like MRLS. As for heavy armor, once you get past free characters, there are a number of purchasable character that work awesome. Gunners, Laser Chaingun/Rifle, Railgun/PIC, then the volt rifles...soon...
  6. While doing the time eras would not really be hard, just time consuming to create all that content.
  7. Probably just need any software that can export to the UT3 editor/UDK.
  8. I use Maya for all my stuff. I have used Max in the past, but Maya is used more where I work so I just stick with that. Right now I just do high res models in Maya still, but wanting to get into Zbrush and/or Mudbox also. Maya and Max are basically the same, just different layouts. Some people/companies use one while some use the other.
  9. I will go out on a limb here and say that learning how to map for UT3 would be a great stepping stone in mapping for RenX. So learn how to map in UT3 until the RenX tuts are ready.
  10. Just an idea, do not know if you want to take this on, but... Could you take individual map stats and combine and calculate the into a ranking system? Similar to http://renladder.blackhand-studios.net/ I am sure over time, many would make use of it and enjoy it.
  11. Is there a reason you are allowing an enemy bggy to sit in front of your mammy for more than 2 seconds?
  12. I would also like to add the thought of auto mixing teams. As it is now, once you join a server, you are on that team until you change.

    Blunty.... It is too early, but in time that should change. I only say too early because only like 40% is even released for all to play. Yet, I bought UT3 just for this mod and it only cost me 8 bucks from the store. Heard you can get it cheaper from Steam.

  16. Sadly, as cool as it is, it is only in beta and much is still to be done before calling it complete. Since they really just started with releasing it (what about a month or so ago), there is not much to play with before you it starts feeling really repetitive. Also with balancing issues, most might just be playing the original Ren until this become more complete. Give it time, this is just the beginning.

  21. I remeber waiting and waiting for Generals to come. I bought it and was VERY disappionted. So I made the handle EAsucksNUTZ. Then they banned me for slander on my first night online. :angry:

  24. A lot of rushes in Renegade would not have been possible if they had collidable wreckage. Heck, Renegade did not even have wreckage. Since recreating on UT3 to enhance graphics and maintain some, if not most, gameplay elements. I would suggest leaving the wreckage model, while still allowing player to pass through. This is what I call feature creep in class... There is where vehicle explosion/death animations come to mind. Blow them apart (probably with a 3D particle of said vehicle's pieces) Have the pieces or particle have collision with only the static world. (just give physics to the pieces/particles) Then just have them fade away after a certain amount of time. Or for a fun twist, do give the pieces player collision. Let them damage infantry (possible kill them) if hit by shrapnel. Make the flame tank cover a small area in flames for short amount of time after it dies. Mammy cannons might fling around and kill infantry or even damage tanks. MRLS spits a few rockets like bottlerocks without sticks. Big Bad ARTs have so much firepower, they are like Devastators from the OG Dune RTS, they do damage to the surrounding area when killed. So many wierd things come to mind.
