It is a knife with 2 blades as it can do help and harm at the same time, depending from which side you observe this, e.g. less or more skilled players. I am for sure no measure for this as I am an easy target and do have a lot of stutter and hit detection problems. Regarding body shots and hs, hitting the head should reward you but not make you God-like for that, at the same time hitting the body should not punish you by making it way too weak. I think it requires some time to get the best out of this mod, collect feedback and results, tweak it, retest it and so. It is a process and we should be patient before we hit the final decision.

I understand where you guys are coming from, as I was considering this too before posting anything. Unfortunately, that point does not make much sense to me as there are some illogical things around it. If anything is naive in this situation, it is to believe that ignoring the problem will solve it. It won't. He will stop when he decides so. And being ignored is for sure not gonna be a driver for that decision. It will either be an emotional decision or decision driven by some limitations like resources, money or time for example. Consider that ignorance might be one of the reasons he is doing this after all.

You can call it naive, no problem with that. I call it: having faith in people.

I have the impression that he doesn't want to be ignored, but rather would like to be heard. The problem is, his message is not telling anything clearly, It is just destructive. So, if he wants to be heard and would like to change something, than he is actually working against the change he would like to see.

This community is punished again by a DDOSer. I wonder if it is a community member making a statement by this personal vendetta ? Many of the members share the same passion for this game and the community. And yes, we all get pissed off sometimes, but we don't cross the line and try to destroy it. I mean it is always easier to pick the wrong way and to destroy something. Any monkey can buy DDOS service on the darknet. You know that nothing is gonna change and you cannot DDOS forever. Therefore, dear member of this community, I ask you: Are you sure the message you are sending is understood and you will force the change you wish to see, that has been driving you to this vendetta? Hi Core, to get more FPS, you will need to do following: 1) CPU stuff - OC your Ryzen to 4.2 GHz (need liquid cooling for this, otherwise 3.7 with standard heatsink) - use process lasso to set udk.exe to run always with high CPU priority - use process lasso to set udk.exe CPU affinity (disable Core 0 and Core 1 as most of other stuff will work on these 2 cores and you want udk.exe to run on other cores to get most speed) *[core 1 is a virtual core if you have SMT enbaled in BIOS, otherwise, just Core 0] 2.) Windows Stuff - in Windows make sure you use high performance power plan 3.) Nvidia stuff - Nvidia Settings make sure you always use 1080 as preffered GPU - "Manage 3D Settings" -> "Program Settings" -> select UDK (Unreal Development Kit) and make changes as shown on screenshots (if you don't have Gsync monitor, just pick fixed refresh rate): 4.) UDK config Stuff - there is a lot of things that require tweaking to get more FPS. If you are interested please PM me on Discord With all these settings when the server is 40-45 players, most maps work well. 45-64 players, well that is another storry. I hope this can help you get more FPS and enjoy the game. Kind regards, dr.schrott

In the past I saw few questionable banns and kicks. I also experienced one too: I've got a permanent bann from one of RenX discord servers just because I was joining and leaving the server from time to time. Apparently admin didn't like this and he kicked me forever. No hard feelings on my side, just an example of how we as people react to some situations. As far as I know, Mint stood to fight for someone else who was stressed in the game, not himself. Which from my point of view is honorable and proves his dedication to the game and the community. The discussion was taken over to discord and the ping-pong ended as it did - he got banned. Have you asked yourself, what was in his chest, how did he felt while he was writing his statements in discord and arguing with you ? Banning someone does not prove that you are right nor does getting personal. For a conflict you always need at least 2 sides involved, and in very rare cases only one side is responsible for it. About gettin personal: I didn't see any people in charge banned from the discord when they cross this line. So, fairness relies on measuring with the same measure for everyone. Regarding having devs leave, I am sorry to hear that. This game really needs more devs. Nevertheless, being good in technical stuff, does not mean that you are good with managing people. So, perhaps to lower the pressure on your stuff, be aware of strengths and weaknesses of your stuff and you will avoid situations where people leave due to frustration and issues with others. People colide in certain moments, but in most cases this collision was driven by a larger time period and by variety of reasons. Very often, isolating the collision moment will for sure distort the whole picture and do no good, for none of the involved sides. If one is really interested in helping and therefore understanding the other, you need to find out what has been driving the whole situation into that collision moment. Everybody knows, that I leave RenX community every now and then, saying: I am out, never gonna get back. But, after a while and let loose, I take some time and think over everything that happened and try to understand. And you need to try to change your angle and put your self into the position of the other party and look with their eyes. After having that done, you will be on a good path to understand the whole situation far more better then looking into it from one side. When I do that, I ask myself a lot of questions, like: Was this person showing any other signs of behaving like it did ? If not, what was the trigger ? What have I done to cause it? Have I done something wrong ? Is there anything I can do to make it better ? Have I missed something? Does everything make sense ? What would I do in their situation ? Has the other party doen something wrong and why I think is wrong ? What would someone else I know do in that situation ? ... And it is hard to keep calm in certain situations, we are all humans and many of us tend to escalate sometimes, at least my temperamt does this from time to time. We also carry many other good stuff in ourselves which standout and prove our greatness. All we need to do is let them out more often.

That poll is missing one point "Performance issues (low FPS, lag)" as servers and game tend to lag in many situations and people don't like to play games with low FPS, stutter, tearing, input lag or similar.

A lot has been said on this topic, some true and some questionable statements have been made. As in any other project, there will always be problems to deal with, some technical, some related to human nature. A good start is to be aware of them and where they belong. For sure some of problems mentioned here, do not belong in a public discussion. I am sorry to see that some still did not learn to act as a professional and improve their communication skills, but rather get passionate and cannot handle the criticism. Each and everyone of us has made his own experience and is reacting based on that, so did I. I don't want to talk about my and how I ended up being stamped as a "shit-talker". What I want is to see this community grow and this game prosper. And I am sure every single nurse in this community would be happy to see this happen - as we are all addicted to this masterpiece. Playing with friends - 100% support that. I also 100% support that balanced teams provide the best game experience and push this game to its true potential. There is a different responsibility if we talk about players and people in charge (devs/admins/mods). On one hand, they should also be able to play with friends, but on the other hand, they have a greater responsibility - the community. Therefore, in case where games get one-sided and people start leaving, mods/devs/admins should actually decide which team to join and provide more balance instead of trying just to play with friends and support one-sided games. Sorry guys, but this should happen, otherwise you work against all the months/years you have put into this game. I would also like to propose something, that from my point of view would help the game and the community: 1.) let the game pick 2 commanders at the beginning of each match 2.) allow players to select GDI or Nod as preferred and perhaps a role they would like to play, e.g. supporter, tanker, anti-inf, sneaker ... 3.) allow commanders to pick their teams in a short time window, e.g. 2-3 minutes 4.) if no teams picked in the foreseen time window, the system should mix the teams based on players selections It is just an idea how all the issues about teams could be actually minimized and handed over to the commander roles. Instead of arguing against each other, turning the past up and down, I would suggest to focus on something that could really help this game and the community. dr.schrott
