No problem. good conversation. I guess i have to say i preferred the plan that allowed me to donate to the turret. 1. I had to know i was spending money. 2. anyone could do it anytime anywhere. I.e. "hey team donate to the turret!" Did that plan not work ?

Like a newb i just never saw the information. First i noticed was when i saw my creds do a -1 . The battle was on, defense was needed and it looked like it could be repaired so i went at it. But sadly our refinery was down and i lost what little funds i had been building. My bad. Sorry i don't have a specific recomendation, just saying what happened.

i really disliked the repairable turret because i did not realize it was taking all my money until way too late. Maybe i would like it if it was clearer i was spending MY money.

I got this working and enjoyed it a lot. Yeah its kinda simplified, but the graphics took me back in time... The whole opening sequence was worth the price of admission... . and a nickle more. It makes me wish a single player version of renX could be made... ? possible?

First reaction to the idea of a party FOR EA is to recoil in terror.... ...But then.... again.... Maybe it would be a weird perverse kind of thing to do. To be thankful fans of a much hated company... No. my idea was to celebrate the fans and development crew that keep this game alive and growing.

Limsup said. If this is true, then are we planning a party? Seems logical to me. A decade of gaming fun and progress forward! OR..... What do we celebrate? I think the game culture that exists around Renx is awesome and worthy of recognition. Maybe we celebrate the day that EA gave permissions? that should be a sacred day for the game.

If an option is found I would like to suggest that option chosen be Announced Clearly to the opposing team. I.e. please dont leave players confused... "hey joe i thought we destroyed the hand. Why is up? " or find ways to make it clear that there is a game feature that revives a building.

well,... I highly favor timed matches and think it should be a part of the game. I can see that is not the favored opinion, but i offer mine for the record. I like timed matches for several reasons. 1. I know how long a time commitment i am engaging in. I can commit more to immersion of gameplay if there is not a part of my brain that has to remember to check the time. And I can play a few games before i have to go back to real. With marathon i may only get one game... be it good or bad or draggin on forever. 2. I find i will more likely join a losing team if the time left is not too much. Where as in Marathon i tend to not like joining ANY game where there is a building lost. Not that it ruins it for me, (cause i know gameplay can still be good) but because the moral of the team is so often in the pits. They believe the end is inevitable. THIS IN PARTICULAR is why i like timed matches. 3. Timed matches teach players the value in valiantly fighting in the face of obstacles. When your team is losing buildings, but you are fighting strong and players are really give it their all.... and manage a win by points .... That is why i like timed. I do not get that ending in marathon. 4. Timed matches represent another way to win. The game benefits from having multiple paths to winning. I hear the complaint that timed matches are an artificial ending and that base destruction is the desired result. I respect that and the advancements made to that end. I will always remember and hope for the return of the intense team action involved in a good points win. Those games would be incredibly close! Sometimes only a few points of difference. I found the chat and teamwork levels exciting. I found the end game equally fun to hearing that the last enemy building has been destroyed.

May i suggest that the price is paid by sacrificing the health of other buildings? Not the short term health but the serious/important stat.

Does this affect Black Dawn? I ask because i just got it working and i noticed some cooked pc files being downloaded.

Some interesting ideas in that. Option: When the Harvester gains veteran could mean it effects how the harvester is produced?

Thank you for the excellent reading material. I really enjoyed it. I previously had a very limited amount of data each month. The size of downloads was a severe impediment. Investments in reduction sound Great.

maybe the team could buy the harvester some ability? Then it would not ruin the earliest rushing due to lack of funds.

Setting all that Negativity aside for the moment....... My main interest in this server is seeing it active. The ping is incredible for me. I hope other players will use the server. I have a bunch of question i would ask the NEC folk... too bad they not on forums

All i know is i go to join the server and then i cant. I can stop and go set up another program... but i don't. Might in the future if the server gets busy i gues

i tried to join again. but could not. i get a STEAM Required notice. I had downloaded steam, but i think i removed it. ?? why cant i play on this good ping server?
