Agreed. Mammy could use a little more move-speed (I can walk faster, really?) or turret rotation, both are so bad right now that I could kill a mammy with a buggy if he's alone. Agreed on the airstrikes. The SBH is so important compared to its replacement that it's like comparing sun/moon. Why should Nod get both? With flamers to break blockades (and artys to kill mrls if they try a long range version of that), it's not a crucial part of Nod play, but just serves to widen Nod's overall advantage. When I first read that I thought 'hell no', but I suppose that would curb the trannys flying high over bases. Might not be a bad idea, as long as they reach only as far as their edge of the mesa. Any further would give snipers too much protection. More like:GDI emphasizes power projection and combined arms. Nod emphasizes asymmetric/guerilla warfare, and combined arms.

You should see the memory Total Wars games (or Titanfall) can use if you think that's a lot. Honestly I haven't run with anything less than 12GB in a while, even for my laptop.

Just use the Tiberium Auto Rifle if you want damage from splash.Actually, a bit of a sore spot here. I can understand it needing to have some splash and DoT because of its slow velocity, but when people are almost exclusively firing at the ground to kill with it, I think some modification is needed. Buying the TibAuto at this point is basically saying "I can't/don't want to bother aiming at anything, so I'll buy this which saves me the trouble." With the flechette, you at least have to aim the gun to kill people. The TibAuto has some very good uses (Hotwires searching out stealth black hands/stealth tanks being a prime example); I think if you lowered the DoT time and/or damage, it would be more reasonable in infantry combat for the price.

This looks fantastic, y'all are awesome. Could we get a donate feature that acts like the old Renegade !donate command though? Namely, you can type part of a name as long as it's unique, and it'll donate to that person? Having to search through a list of numbers (which sometimes reaches off the screen) that isn't sorted by name is very annoying.

You could combine this with the '30 seconds to live' tiberium one above and make it a tib explosion. How about a "doesn't kill your teammates" explosion crate? The current ones that do are stupid, all it takes is one random fool to ruin a plan if he's close enough to you. It doesn't add to the game, and is quite frustrating.

Well half the time my allies' names don't show up right now anyway, so that wouldn't help. Agreed on the defenses. Noo, this is not a good idea because it'll set you back half the map. What if you get teleported into a structure just getting nuked? Why should you have to make it back through hordes of enemies that, as you yourself said, can easily detect you if they're paying attention?Dislike. -
Man! I had forgotten about some of this old stuff. I really enjoyed the larger maps on the old Renegade, and some of RenX's larger servers could really have some fun with 64 players games on something like a new Cairo. The repair pads and drivable harvys would also be really cool.

Equalize the glass in the Nod and GDI bases.

NOD has SBHs. This counteracts whatever slight advantage GDI might have from it being easier to get into the HON. Perhaps it would be cool if rockets or C4 could break the GDI glass, but I'm not convinced it adds to the gameplay. -
I completely forgot about that map, but it was a lot of fun! That could be an absolutely amazing map for aircraft. Perhaps a transporter for infantry though?

Sounds to me that these two fixes: a) Beacons being planted at feet b) Sloped surfaces where adventurous parachutists aren't supposed to be Would solve 95% of the problems we're having. Most of the other flyer problems should happen, I would argue, if a team is stupid enough to ignore a flyer coming in their base AND the person proceeding to get out.

Last I heard, the devs are working on a dev kit that will eventually be released to the fans so we can make/edit maps and other assets.

I agree with you for the most part, but the announcements are not clear at all when the announcer can only say one thing at a time and BUILDING UNDER ATTACK BUILDING REPAIRED HARVESTER UNDER ATTACK HARVESTER DESTROYED ION CANNON BEACON DEPLOYED WARNING ION CANNON SATELLITE APPROACHING YOU HAVE 30 SECONDS 20 SECONDS ION CANNON STRIKE IMMINENT 10 SECONDS blah blah blah are being played instead of AIRSTRIKE ONROUTE. Whenever I airstrike a group of enemies to death it's quite impossible for me to know whether they were legitimately stupid and didn't move or whether the notification was delayed until it was too late or didn't play at all. Well there is a nice bright light as well. If they or their teammates are too unaware to notice the pretty laser, then they deserve to die. I'm rather enjoying airstrikes for the sheer fact that they are a 'hard counter' to stupid! Bravo devs.You do have a point about the audio - maybe a little change in the UI could give away that there is something different (ion, airstrike) around you, though it can't be directional or that'd be too easy.

Really though. TibAuto splash needs nerfed, it enables idiots who can't aim instead of making them learn how to actually aim, and that is unacceptable. Removing the tibauto and keeping the flechette would be ideal imo, but obviously this isn't a perfect world. Huzzah for hyperbolic melodrama. -
The ladder issue can be overcome by incorporating a weighted scoring mechanism that takes different states (points, k/d, overall win%, perhaps others) into account and uses that as the ranking stat.

Not sure why people keep complaining about artys; I can't count the number of mammoth tanks I've killed with an arty given a little back-and-forth movement. Like others have said, airstrike first if it's cheap (750). If not, kill their hotwires (snipers great if possible, otherwise use the arty arc) and use arty/flame tanks to crush the fools. I agree however it's ridiculously huge crosshair makes it really hard to see where the shell lands at a distance. Get rid of that and it's perfect. Agreed.

You would have to be very careful and smart about how you made such a change. All the possibilities I can think of at the moment involve chain effects that would change the meta completely, which would upset a large number of people (I would be one of them unless it was some kind of masterstroke) -
Didn't that idiot think the new Thief was good? Did you even watch it? Disagreement on one game != stupidity. He did a pretty fair job by Renegade X.

Did you change all the audio options? The thunder was the correct volume for me. Never had the alt+tab thing happen... Try changing the configuration .ini file so that y is 1080 and x is 1920. It is an option for most people, but some (like yourself) have had issues with that. Thanks for the feedback! -
