  1. Is this official? Does it have anything to do with the leaderboards tab that appeared on the Ren X homepage recently?
  2. Hah, I remember that in Ren. I would just jam the Esc key until the screen showed me what I wanted. But there's no Esc screen in Ren X though, it's just a tiny box. A possible solution would be to make it so pressing "R" no matter what submenu in the PT you're in will refill you and exit the PT.

  5. The maps are the same size as in the original Ren, and the two new maps are both average size. And vehicle limits are set by the server, not the game. As long as there's no server lag, a 64 player game should be fine and fun.

  8. They did say that free aim won't be making it in. About 180 this was all that was said: "If it's up to me that'll not be in either but there's still some discussion surrounding that."

  10. Simple solution: When you're in Purchase Terminal, pressing "R" will refill you.

  12. This brings up another point. Has 64 players ever been tested before? In all the livestreams the player count was usually less than 20, with a peak of around 31.

  14. I believe the only change that can drastically affect gameplay is the arty nerf. Arcing shell will make it harder to aim, especially when trying to hit a moving target like a med. Also, no screen shake and no splash damage through walls make it easier to defend against an arty. MRLS got buffed too so indirectly that hurts the arty even more. Basically, get ready to beef up your light tank skills.
  15. Am I the only one around here who memorized the hotkeys and never spends more than 2 seconds at the terminal? Keep in mind the average monitor size and resolution changed a lot from Ren to Ren X. It would look worse if the icons were large.
  16. Yeah there's only been debate so far, but no one said whether it's in or not. I'm assuming it's not in the current beta, and unless a dev says otherwise I'm guessing it's not going to make it into the release.
  17. That's why I now believe that it's better to not add free aim to Renegade X. Many other new FPS and TPS games don't use free aim so why should Renegade X have it? and as you said the only way to prove that someone is more skilled than the other is by having one of them which is by default (in any FPS or TPS game) making the mouse locked with the screen. Well it was in the original Renegade so people who used it back then will want it in Renegade X. But keep in mind too that there's no option that enables this in UDK, so the devs will have to program this manually.
  18. I did see one video where it didn't happen, not sure if it was a one time thing or if it's fixed now. I think it was the video where theGunrun leaves to change his graphics settings but when he got back he was put on the same team but his points and credits were reset. Another question that was asked before but not given a definite answer: Will quick-180 be returning?
  19. It was used to great advantage in Field in the latest Q&A livestream. Nuke the ref plus an airstrike and GDI didn't stand a chance. Too early to tell if it's overpowered, but it does help one to ion/nuke successfully.
  20. Not sure what the relationship between EA and Valve is like, but it'll probably be a major factor in whether this can happen.
  21. Basically, your weapon's crosshair is no longer locked to the center of your screen. There were some abuses with this such as being able to shoot through walls.
  22. More gunners yes but also more engis on the opposite team. Unless the vehicle limit is increased dramatically, most players in a 32v32 will be in base defending. And it's unlikely a gunner rush can do undetected with so many players. Building health should not scale with players, you'll have to change your strategies when you're in a large game.
  23. 1. Will we be able to join a game on the same team as a friend? 2. If you disconnect/leave a game and rejoin, do you keep your points and credits?
  24. No further comment Am I missing something here? Noobstories was a popular server back in the day and I heard it shut down recently due to inactivity.
