  1. ... I still don't get this. Are you using MSAA or FXAA ?
  2. ..... Can I throw money and get things in return though ? I can only imagine the looks I'd get with The Temple of Nod sitting on my desk at work.
  3. Known, fixed in like ... 2 hours.
  4. Lol, I don't think me commanding was the problem with that team. It worked out pretty well during Complex. Walls I didn't say anything complicated... we just got outplayed. Literally nobody could take the plat. And Whiteout... well, nobody did what I actually said during whiteout. Said C4 harv and suicide. Most just C4'd and then shot it. Also... good lord these things need to hurry up and get pushed back an hour again by DLST. Sheez, staying up till 3 is hard. Wasn't even trying to play by the time Whiteout came around.
  5. I think having one or two of the better ones in is fine. Also I 'may' be there, but I'll be late..
  6. No seriously.... one SBH camping is the most rage-inducing defense mechanism in the entire game.. especially since SBH's can more or less insta-kill a Hotwire with the SSMG. Nod Defense is EZ
  7. ...GDI has always had 'better' infiltration options than Nod to compensate for not having stealth. They still have to clear mines no matter where they go [which makes their infiltration obvious] to actually destroy a building from the inside, just like Nod. The strip really takes a 1/3rd of a second of common sense after knowing people can come through the roof to mine properly. Simple balance since 2002 : GDI : More players have to stay on defense vs. stealth (sans BD maps), thereby making it harder for GDI to have as large of a field presence [in quantity]. vs. Nod: Can leave defense to less players which leaves them able to have a higher quantity of people in the field, thereby balancing out that they don't have Meds, meds and more meds. That's only in a perfect world when you boil it down though. Still it works for 'most' maps... till you make a 128 player server.
  8. It's still added bloat, and early game rushes (not to mention lower player count games) are all going to be drastically affected, to the point where defending is just going to have to be a good half+ of the team's job, since they'll all be down credits and STILL all free infantry. For those of us who don't just play as a shotgunner 24/7 that's actually kind of a big deal. 250/300 for a pack of three is insane, even in a 20v20. That means HALF of a team has to be coordinated, as opposed to just 2-3 people, just to keep the game from ending in 5 minutes. It already does that enough as is.
  9. Have you tried opening the launcher, clicking on settings and hitting 'reset game' ? A lot of your log looks kind of weird in a way that's not worth explaining here. Looks like you may have some configs wrong.
  10. Simple answer: YES, I made the whole thing, mod the whole thing and maintain it all single handedly. Long answer: I like how you ignore the one thing a demo doesn't capture, which is the entire chat-log leading up to you being team switched ONCE. There was literally a 10-20 minute ordeal that didn't even involve me for a great deal of it. Other people told you you shouldn't stack, and you said and I semi-quote "I do not care about team stacking, that's not my problem" . Then there was a survey put up about whether you should be forced to play GDI which had an instantaneous 12+ yesses, and then you told me I 'couldn't switch your team, so then.... I team switched you once and you RQ. Full story. Don't throw things randomly out of context.
  11. I'm.. just looking at the fact that getting every game to end in 30m-1h30m has been achieved. Really don't need any more reason to break another system (and Ren has more than just mines as a faulty system) by making it rely super heavily on 'teamwork'... also known as forcing EVERYONE to do something super boring, like left clicking at a door. Having one person be able to mine is at least a + in its own right That.... literally is about how the mine-limit is already calculated. Islands Yeah, but having mining rely on 20 people vs. 2 sounds like more of a pain in the ass than an understandable team effort. Honestly, I'm with Ryz... I probably wouldn't be playing anymore.
  12. If anyone changes anything it won't be me. Honestly it.. works enough. There will always be trolls, and there will always be a need for a tutorial no matter what. As far as I'm concerned now, at least the system in place, most people know how to use, and it takes all of like a day of playing to have it figured out. That, and at some point I'm pretty sure we said we weren't changing anything else sans, minor balance changes (and honestly I still can't find anything imbalanced aside from teams and maybe some maps) and maybe adding to the UI. If anyone wants to do things to replace mines, you're better off trying it in a map with a mutator or something of the like.
  13. ..... I b2b on Complex all of the time >_> Flaming infantry is a weird gray area of being 'creative'... and annoyingly broken. It's the only reason it hasn't really been tampered with I honestly think remote C4 should be able to be shot and blown up honestly. The explosion going to whomever killed it. Would solve a lot of issues with flaming vehicles/infantry.
  14. Dunno... Under's a map that probably sees more heroic units than any other... Veterancy is the shining star of that map... and I'm not just saying that because my 54/10 streak with a heroic APC that one time >_>... Also heroic grenadier rush <3 < 3 Game definitely has more late game options now.
  15. 3 snipers (all of them with at least 25% accuracy on the regular), smart enough to carry repair tools, and a on top of the bunker on XMountain so vehicles can't hit them, and running up there just means you die on the ladder. Kek, so 'easy'. Oh right, and their team is busy just whoring at the front of the base. And no actually, if the other team is just camping their ass off even while winning there isn't always a chance. Not until enough people just get bored, which is honestly the last thing you should be HAVING to do in a game.
  16. ... The autorifle has literally only been buffed like twice since beta 1... It's never been nerfed. Camos... really can't argue opinion. I didn't make them. Actually, the GDI APC blends pretty damn well on Field in the darkness... Saw one ride the wall all the way into Nod's base before the Obi pointed it out for everyone =p And no... having people seeing drastically different things on their client is an imbalance in the making.
  17. Only one thing needs to be said... NEXT LEVEL TACTICS! Orca rush on Lakeside?!! Unheard of. Also... where the hell did the whole Super Saijan thing come from on Whiteout? Other team went from cowering in fear to over 9000 artys pounding WF to death.
  18. ... Have you pointed a gun in the direction of a Chem's head? I'm still not seeing Chems being that big a deal. All of Nod's good starting rushes are flak, and all of GDI's 3 starting paid units counter flak pretty hard... I generally just walk out with an Officer and go 6-0 till I have to refill, since everyone just throws themselves at you with things that die to bullets.
  19. Just use Patch, an SBH, or a shotgun. Sniper deleted.
  20. Lowered the penalty for Humvees and Buggies already.
  21. Was already thinking vehicle machine guns should probably get minor buffs vs. Flak anyway. As of now the buggy and humvee are... pretty much just there to use as flaming vehicles. Vehicle machinge gun being for the Buggy/Humvee, the APC is already pretty good at being a more all-around unit that can engage pretty much anything you point at it. Hell, GDI can APC spam Nod to death and beat all but full mass Light tank if they really wanted to, but they don't. As for Vehicles vs. Infantry in OldRen.... it is the sole reason I basically stopped playing marathon. If the team with only infantry really wanted to, they could make themselves invincible with just mass PIC/Volt/Hotty Also, APCs were more feared in OldRen thanks to not being able to sprint. Was actually far easier to just run infantry over than shoot them with the gun. Not to mention so many maps were flat that it was easy pickings with minimal cover.
  22. I'm going to agree with that. Honestly haven't heard one complaint about SBHs since like beta 3.... except maybe there being too many.
  23. Dude, nobody is -good- at making teams XP. The last like 3 weeks was basically Jeff doing teams.
