I tend to just play Nod, be an LCG all game and role-play as "Man-Tank The Destroyer" ....
  3. What's second of all? But really, I'm only going to believe that if I sift through them, which I'm not going to do unless I get really really really bored.
  4. Bye, Felicia. If you're that good and 'competitive', go get paid for it instead of killing off servers. I also wouldn't brag with that many VAC bans under your belt. ^ See above. As far as I'm concerned, it's gone from kicking people for hacking, to banning people on the grounds that they ruin the entire game outside of PUGs where it's expected and generally counterable. Would stand behind @Madkill40's decision.. .even if I still haven't quite figured out if Madkill's crazy or not.
  5. @SeanYong Gratz on being a guinea pig.. At least it went well.
  6. But on a side note, let's not forget in the first 4 months of RenX's there was a mod for TMX that was found to be hacking, so I don't rule any of you out. I'll permaban any of you assholes without a second thought... 'cept @DoctorB0NG...
  7. It's been stated several times. Provide some sort of proof if you're just going to say someone is cheating. Sometimes it's obvious, like blatant wall hacks and people snap-aiming, and literally !modrequest gets someone's attention since most of the mods are spread out throughout every timezone. More subtle things, like just 'is that person good or not?' is harder to really prove, unless you have some sort of concrete evidence, like videos, or ask for the demo files. Considering the number of fake hackusations going around in a community this small it's impossible to know when somebody's just getting their ass handed to them or legitimate. A 60-8 KDR isn't instant proof that somebody is hacking. I had to deal with enough hackusations against @Canucck before he just streamed, recorded, then outright played some other more high profile game and had the exact same stupidly high accuracy rating with anything you put in his hand. Out of the 4 people that get accused regularly, I'm pretty sure only 2 are actually suspicious, and 2 I know for a fact are actually just really good at aiming. The other 2 are monitored far more than most people know. Pretty much anyone who's suspected of aim-botting is monitored pretty heavily, and the demos for that time are usually put aside if the hackusations are grand enough. I don't know the mod situation in CT anymore... but I'm probably most likely to ban people, then if it means that much to them they can rant about it on the forums. My answer... Yosh's presence... unless it's somebody that's already monitored and really doesn't exhibit any suspicious behaviour PLUS actively records themselves PLUS streams and has a background of having God aim.. But if it's some other hack other than aimbotting... I already shoot first and ask questions later. Just ask @Tokiyo [Granted he was a special case]
  8. Less of a deciding factor, and more of the one and only factor on very particular maps.
  9. All of them. Known about that since beta 3/4... Just so rare and takes such a specific motion to do that no one ever bothered to care.
  10. @ShrewdTactician could probably get you hooked up with the 64bit exes to see if that changes anything.
  11. They say, knowing they won't even look at anything regarding a UI.
  12. Then you definitely weren't on my team. Most interesting banter of the night.
  13. Pretty sure that would be a bad thing. Pretty sure you CAN just tell a building to take damage though, and set the source of it to like team 255 or something. PS... I have no idea how Kismet works. That's in that thing with all those camels.
  14. Not willing to believe just off of 1 PUG with 4 maps. On maps with hills and places for light tanks to hide and exploit a low profile they can prove more annoying than Flames and Arts. That's not to say they probably don't need a buff in some aspect though... but breaking the field gameplay is easy, as we've seen before. Also, are we all in favour of perhaps a PUG with a no-sniper mutator? Well, that, or just take the easy route and make them like 9999 credits since it's faster. Just as an expiriment more than anything. More than likely GDI will just rofl stomp... but it's worth taking a gander. Granted peraps we should hold off till an EMP buff for that one. May drop a patch this week if I get time.
  15. Considering the baseline UE3 is more CPU than GPU intensive, I don't think your video card is going to matter nearly as much. However, in terms of scaling, I have no idea how well it will handle 8k. You may very well have the Flash parts of the HUD stuck in the middle of your screen.
  16. Would rather not play something else built in the UDK that uses server-side HD, and still has good ol' location desync exploits common to every UDK game. 'Least, that's the word on ye' ol' hacker forums.
  17. But they pretty much suck. I literally left them in for the sake of April 1st, and because some weird people like them... Though admittedly nuke crates have the ability to be hilarious... but 9/10 they're just annoying.
  18. Somehow that's all I remember after reading your post..
  19. I should take back over commanding one of these days... Also... GDI is just inherently overpowered due to numbers... which is one of those necessary evils for PUBs.. I've mentioned this forever ago, and every time teams are balanced GDI WILL win, unless Nod gets away with something ridiculous. Granted I think we need more than 1 week of pure GDI wins to just suddenly go all Oprah status on nerfing GDI units. Like on Tomb... we actually had an opportunity to Stank rush with just 3-4 Stanks that we didn't take.
  20. You would... Sniper spots for days. I actually kinda' like Valley too though >_>. I think it's moreso the fact that 90% of this player base can't aim for crap.. There's only like a grand total of 15 players I even debate not fighting (sans if they're like... a Mendoza to my rifle soldier) as infantry. 8-0 with the autorifle/chaingun at the start is normal.... especially when I was in the states with a ping under 400 =(. Still do-able though.
  21. This myth's been very much debunked.. Reservoir is actually capable of ending now that it has a higher vehicle limit. 'nuk just mad cuz it's less people for him to snipe. Also... I haven't really run into that many stalemates since I've been playing recently. Everything good well and over on average of 40 minutes, with Under/Reservoir usually over by 60-90 minutes. Still not a fan of 60 players, but I don't think its as detrimental as most make it out to be.
  22. Launcher > Settings > Reset game. Config files probably got screwed up at some point.
