I had to leave at 4:30 so I'm kinda sad about missing out on this event yet again. Things always pop up, but for the hour and a half that I was there it was definatly a huge lift of sprit and modivation about why we are remaking this game and why it is so dear to all of us. Thanks to all who showed up, as it was a blast. The only other event we host like this is the Rene-Game which is on ren's B-Day but that has already passed and the next one will probably end up being on RenX anyways.

Well, even though I know the story will be ruined; I'm psyked! Man their MMKs look so gay. That big one looks like they took the C&C3 gdi recon unit (I dunno what it's called but it shoots 2 rockets) and turned it into a giant frog. I bet the two big mechs, the one on gdi and one on nod are the crawlers we've been hearing about.

RPG elements? NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! As if upgrading units isnt bad enough. And, crawlers? As if Rigs didnt kill the game now you can deploy a base? EA should go play Covert Ops, then they will know what real tactic is all about. Not some stupid upgrading shit with a mobile base. And if they like FMVs so much then aim for movie styled like in Tiberian Sun. Not the crap that was in TW and RA3. I'm glad that its a conclusion but also saddened because I know EA will ruin it.

Wonderland sucks too imo. I went there last year and went on almost every ride. The only ones that were some what decent were Drop Zone and Vortex. Other then that its all childs play. I'd say the only thing worth seeing are Niagra Falls, especially when you go on the ship and get close to the falls.

Last time I will say this. :angry: RENEGADE X WILL NOT HAVE SKINNING OR ANY OTHER CUSTOMIZATION CAPABILITIES! Three reasons for why Renegade X will not have any skins. First reason is because of advantage/disadvantage skins. Lets face it chances are your renegade is probably altered some way or another from the original. This means no stupid sponge bob square fucking pants C4s that can be seen a mile away. No shiny stealth skin to get an advantage. No glowing firey projectiles. No bright coloured character skins to be able to see from far. Second reason is because the way Unreal Engine 3 works, you will find that there are no custom skins for any existing characters. The only way you can make an existing ut3 character look different is to make a new character. So yes, you cannot simply place a texture file or any other file with the same name and hope to make a skin. Lastly, we dont want Renegade X to look like crap.

Well think about it this way. During that chaotic time when Westwood Studios was finished; they had just released C&C Renegade. During that time, everyone was waiting for the next big C&C, the one that we've been waiting for since 1999. Everyone was waiting for Tiberian Twilight, and you know something, we're still waiting for Tiberian Twilight even though we know there never will be one. I dont know about you, but Tiberium Wars was never a sequal to Tiberian Sun/Firestorm and never will be. Renegade 2 would not have healed C&C as much as Tiberian Twilight would have. If WW didnt die out, and they released Ren2 before TT then I would have been pissed.

Hands down Tiberian Twilight. C&C needs to be saved more then it needing another FPS. C&C was never about getting as many hot actresses as you possibly can and calling it a C&C game. The series has been going downhill starting with Generals. Though I would love to see Renegade 2 or even Continuum, I prefer the story to move forward in the direction WW intended rather then going with the path EA chose. Why do you need Ren2 when you got RenX haha kid. I'd love Ren 2 to be reborn and connect the RA and Tiberium universes.

We wanted to do a change and actually make a some what normal mod update, excpt without the grey untextured models. Well no I'm lieing, we just wanted to stack up art assets that are supposed to be in the first release.

With eight rounds per shot, the shotgun could put a hole in just about any infantry at the proper range. AG79 Kestrel Automatic Grenade Launcher GDI's only asset in this update. The 'Kestrel' Grenade Launcher fires 40mm grenade rounds in an arc. Although difficult to become accustomed to, if used correctly, the Grenade Launcher could pose a threat to infantry, vehicles, and structures, especially in packs. Alright. Modelling. I need some help

Before you decide to model anything just become familar with all of the tools that are avaliable. Well all might be over whelming but all of the basic modeling tools that are avaliable. Just try making a box, converting it to an editable poly and just trying out all the different tools that are avaliable in the modifier panel. Once you have an idea of which tools perform what task, then you will have a better idea how to achieve certain tasks. There are many different ways to model, and its really just up to you because in the end it will all be the same. I also like Maty, start off with a single plane and extrude it out and shape it to a model. However sometimes I like to make a basic model which would be made entirely out of primitive objects. This way I can see what it is I'm trying to model, and keep the proprtions check. I guess you could say its kind of like a rough copy to get you started. After that I would go ahead and model over it with a "good copy" mesh. As I said before thats just one way to make models. I do not prefer one way over another. I tend to model each part differently based on the best possible way to model that particular object. For your first model I suggest that you do not tackle something that has a lot of organic shapes and curves, but rather go for something a little more easy to do. As Maty said already, a car is actually quite difficult because it has lots of organic curves. So I too would recommend that you try something a little easier. One of the most helpful set of tutorials I found were from 3D Buzz. These guys have a bunch of video tutorials on so many different things. They throughly explain what you need to know to use a certain application like 3ds max. If you bought the limited edition of UT3, you'll notice there are some video tutorials and they were all made by the guys from 3D Buzz. So goto their websites, register, and you'll be able to view all of their free video tutorials. http://www.3dbuzz.com remember, start off easy, then slowly work your way up. -
