  4. Dude, you are my hero man! If there is one hero in all of C&C, its you... and ofcourse the RenX team but yeah! You created the single most glorified moment in all of C&C community history. For that I must applaud you.

  6. The performance is definatly improved a lot with the beta patch and should be better with the final patch. Your game no longer dies when you try to alt+tab and loads much quicker. Even unpublished maps seem to load much faster then before. Supposedly the final patch is going to redesign the mod directories and how mods are launched so this might throw us back a little bit. I am keeping in touch with someone from Tactical Assault who is on the case of the new mod directories system. Hopefully it all works out.

  8. I've recorded about 77 gigs of raw footage averaging to about 40 minutes.
  9. Skins and any kind of replacements will be next to impossible. If you look for any skins or replacements for UT3 you wont find many if not any. To make skins you would have to make a new upk file containing the new textures and a material to go with. Then you would have to change the code to use the material. This will not work because it is essentially changing the version of the mod it self and any server you goto the original files will download and overwrite the new ones that you made. So skinning for this mod will not be happening. This is also a good thing because it then becomes a fair game and no one can get any visual differences. Unless we can come up with a skinning system which we most definatly will not then skinning is not possible for renx.
  10. Okay fobby, you just creeped the hell out of me. I said that exact same answer, word per word in a PM on moddb and I didnt copy it from somewhere its what I said when someone asked me the same question. Wtf! How... I swear I'm beginning to believe you more and more about your ESP thing everytime you do something like that. If fobby has ESP, then he may just be right about the whole 2047 thing. Damn! that would suck.
  11. You cannot drop weapons. However server admins will have the option to setup their servers with weapon drops just like how it is in current ren servers where after you are killed you either drop an item or a weapon. Feign Death will still be avaliable. As per tunnel nuking, we havnt discussed it yet. But we probably will disable being able to deploy super weapons inside a tunnel.
  12. Walls.mix?!?! We're no longer in the reneworld my friend. Its now Walls.ut3 And yes those are simply for eyecandy. They will all be blocked off.

  14. The vehicles are actually bigger then they were in ren, the reason why they may look smaller is because the camera had a greater FOV then it did in renegade. So we will be scaling the vehicles down a bit so they match ren exactly.

The GDI and Nod Engineers are ready for combat, and we've even got an urban camo for the Nod Engineer for those who want an old-school C&C look on your Nod infantry. Render!: We've got a nice wallpaper of the two Engineers standing side by side: GDI Mammoth Tank: Some people like power. Others like great power. But the GDI Mammoth Tank is beyond all power - being the toughest vehicle in the mod, costing a whopping 1500 credits, this baby's got dual cannons, a missile pod on each side, and a load of armour. Watch out though, it is slow and will therefore need backup when moving it into the battlefield. With that said, all GDI ground vehicles are now finished. Made from scratch by JeepRubi! We will first have a top 100 phase, in which we must reach before hitting phase 2. We will then be voting on which mod deserves the unreleased MOTY award. And if you've already voted for a mod, you can actually vote again. Some Release Information... The number one question we get on all venues is, "When will the mod come out?". The only answer we've been giving is "It's done when it's done". For an FPS total conversion, Renegade X is progressing very quickly. The team is constantly working at all times, and considering UT3's only been out for a little over a year, we've got a lot ingame. The team would like to announce the contents of its first beta. The content of our first release has been debated before - we want to get you this mod as soon as possible, but at the same time we would also like to take the time to complete enough content for it to play like the original game. The list is in no way final, and should not be thought of religiously, but our first release will generally feature the following: -All GDI Ground Vehicles -All Nod Ground Vehicles -More than half of GDI Infantry -More than half of Nod Infantry -All buildings -Remakes of most maps as well as a couple original maps The missing content will be made up through patches, as well as glitch fixes and new features. Don't expect to see ALL of the features we've announced in the first beta release - the majority of it will be added as we get things done. As for the infantry we've chosen to be a part of the first beta, we've chosen the infantry that best shape the Renegade experience, which will still create a variety of pretty much everything you will need ingame. We've not announced a release date, nor will we. The team behind this mod is working purely on its free time, and we could never guarantee how much free time we'll get per week. Your estimates on release are just as good as mine, you all know what is finished so far, and we are always informing you all on progress and what we're working on. Be patient, and pay close attention to our next progress updates, because you never know when we'll come out and say "hey guys, the mod's done, have fun".   22. The rocket officers will have tracking capability to make them more useful. Gunner's rocket will remain the same.
  23. It is not stolen. That video tutorial is the perfect tutorial to learn a different method of modeling. Just about everyone knows about it and I know enough people that followed it and made their own Bretta 9000s.
