Sound Issue

while loading a new map the games loses sound.its kinda easy when the server is half full in this way you can exit and come back but when its full its a hassle .So any fix and to why this happens?

There is currently no fix, however using 32bit RenX will result in it happening less. Using 32bit also leads to more VRAM crashes, so it's kind of a trade-off for one or the other.

You can try running the UDK.exe file with compatibility mode to WIndows 7. That fixed the sound bug pretty much for me

well i am currently running on 64bit on windows 7 . also their aren't any advance sound option like decreasing the quality of the sound .or the number of channels it uses.

Oddly enough it did so for me aswell.
I never ever had it again once, since I set my compatibility mode to Windows Vista.

So you can try that, HavocPrime.
But it will probably not work for you.

Right now, members and developers are working together to find a true solution.
But there are no guarantees here. It's a bit of a tough cookie for us too.

the bug is more common on fairplay than its on official servers

You started the Launcher with Compatibility Mode ?
that is wrong ... You should set the   .... \Renegade X\Binaries\Win64\UDK.exe  in Compatibility Mode

i have set 64bit into compatibility mode of windows vista it crashes the launcher

I run the 64-Bit Client in Vista Mode on Win 7 and have no Problems with it and it fixed the Soundbug for me.

I guest its all started mb 6 months ago ..losing my sound while going to a next map..I can hear a click sound (like a switch off) Always happen a the loading the map ..never in a middle of a game..was going so well before never had this

Had check my drivers sound card looks ok

saw somewhere this ..so have disabled ..will see if better

DISABLING SURROUND SOUND

Some sound cards support surround sound. This essentially allocates certain sound effects to rear speakers. If you have this mode enabled without using surround sound speakers, you can end up losing many sounds, as they'll be allocated to speakers which you don't have.

I had not heard about the  issue with surround sound.

When i ran 32 bit i would get the sound bug during the game..  Poop.   So i switched to 64.   I  prefer it because the SB only happens rarely and then it is only between matches.
