When buildings aren't part of the terrain. Sooo likely never ? Dang, I was hoping for at least an animation when a building is built.
  9. I'm confused here. He claims he had full health and armor as a sbh, and a remote c4 killed him. Is one remote c4 enough to kill a sbh or 2 remotes or something else, like c4 to the head?
  10. Bump. Just a remainder, if you want inspiration to play some Renegade X, watch the videos.
  11. In the original renegade, the BlackIntel server had an automatic recommendation system in which you get recommended for repairing tanks for a certain amount of time. Its a great system to honor the people who dedicate themselves for the team.
  12. Yeah, I haven't experience with it it I have seen pictures. Sbh with proxys are possible.
  13. Suggestion: Steam or Youtube the games. Both for publicity, gameplay tips, and for pure entertainment. If I didn't work saturday night, I'd record them, but I use that crazy-low graphic setting I posted in the forum for people with weak pcs. I mean, I still record, but it's likely an eyesore for anyone but me. Will do, but I don't usually record the full game so someone else can do that.
  14. I do not believe that to be accurate. 400/62 = 6.45 6.45*1.5 = 9.68 800/92 = 8.7 8.7*1.5 = 13.04 Med tank would die in 13 seconds, and the stealth tank would die in under 10. Just going off of what I remember the calculations to be and tired math, though, so could be wrong. I just remember form the old days that when I used a stank against a med I could win 1 on 1, both full health. Edit: Maybe a med will win as long as it doesn't miss, but a stank will still inflict considerable damage, not like the Renegade X stank that has those missiles shooting overhead.
  15. In the original Renegade a stank and a med one on one were perfectly equal and the loser was determined by who missed first. Then again the "sprinting" for a stank makes it excel at crushing hotties from behind.
  16. So are the destructible doors affected by tanks too?
  17. Because in this game, when people grief, players will get mad easily. And most of the time they will kick you for it. Here a couple of examples. Example 1: placing proximity mines wrong. Example 2: stealing vehicles. Example 3: destroying friendly vehicles. Example 4: killing enemies from a glitchy spot. Example 5: swearing/cursing in chat. Example 6: exploiting in general. (killing sbh's, getting out of the map, shooting at stanks, placing beacons on unreachable places) Example 7: doing absolutely nothing. Example 8: surveys, votekicking, map change surveys, etc. Example 9: acusing people of hacking. Example 10: acusing people of something in general. 1. The reason for people getting kicked for improper mine placement is very clear. There IS a MINELIMT. Mines need to be placed in certain locations as this has issue has been discussed before. 2. Vehicle stealing should not be an issue anymore but it still is. If a teammate steal YOUR tank (Your HUD will say it is yours) all you have to do is press "L." "L" locks the vehicle kicking the thief out of the driver position even if your out of the vehicle. However the passenger seat could be a problem if you want someone to get in. 3. I hadn't seen any problem with destroying friendly vehicles. 4. Again, hadn't seen much of this. 5. Swearing and cursing?? Who doesn't do that? Its only a problem because players will get into an argument and create excessive swearing that causes uneasiness among other players. 6. From your examples "getting out of map" and "beacons in unreachable places" is a big NO. You should be kicked for doing such things repeatedly. Any exploits that the server agrees that should not be allowed are called rules, therefor you must follow them. 7. AFK is a kick because you are taking a valuable player position. If your just walking around doing nothing, you need to be kicked because what's the difference of being afk? You take bullets and die a lot that's very helpful. 8. Not much people do this and I haven't seen much of this lately. 9. Lots of people accuse others of hacking. Lots of times they are wrong. First accusations, ok, mods will look into it or not, depending on the accused. Continued accusations which leads to example 5, kicked. Its like disturbing the peace, shut up or force removal. 10. Accusations in general, again its the repeated accusations that make people mad. Once, its ok, ten times, you need to shut up and cool down.
  18. If you don't care or just bored out of your mind here's some stuff for you to watch. I just record during game once in awhile to see what I can make out of it. Opinions needed, ranging from encouragement to negative criticism. Some of them will be bad, some might be entertaining, so watch and find out. Edit: Episode will come out every 2 weeks on Saturday or Sunday. 19. I recently played a game on xmountain where the team and I mined the GDI base with 5 mines per door. We had 40 mines out of the possible 45 so those extra mines could be used for anything else. You said you use only 6 mines so you should've not been kicked for "over mining." Someone else might have overmined and someone saw you mining at the infantry entrance making the assumption that you were the overminer. Players know the problem with overmining and therefor we want them kicked. However in your case, you were not the overminer and someone else was, maybe. Since there are limited mines where mines have to be used properly to be at maximum efficiency, experienced players would choose designated areas to be proper mining zones. If there are no mines within the said zone, mines will be placed there. If mines are in undesignated zones, they want them removed or disarmed so they can be placed in the designated areas. Of course, proper mining itself isn't enough. Someone has to watch the mines on the minelimit to see if it drops, which leads to another problem. If someone places mines in a pointless area and are detonated, players will see the mines drop and create a panic within the team of where the mines went off. If mines are placed somewhere without the team knowing, half of the team will be wasting their time looking for mines. I need confirmation on this but it might help me some. So when a player starts to overmine, does it just remove the mines that you placed, or the first mines that were placed?
  20. So should the first part of the tutorial be Take an English class?
