  1. Yeah we're not recreating the Renegade singleplayer.

    A prologue isn't really necessary. We'll be releasing a tutorial video that will go through the basics of C&C mode and Renegade X prior to the first beta release, which will be all that is necessary to teach players how to play the mod.

    Everyone here knows about Westwood ;) Some of us like myself have been following the series since C&C 95 and even before that with Dune 2.

    The only important thing in C&C3 was Kane's Wrath. Scrin won't be in C&C4, so they don't matter. Other than that, not much really happened.
  5. Killing the vehicle usually gets more points than killing the person anyway.

    Anyways, having passengers die would ruin things like APC rushes, where the vehicle dies most of the time anyway.

  6. I used to have a folder on my old PC with all the always.dat files from C&C Renegade extracted to it, in a form where I could open up any sound or texture in C&C Renegade. I downloaded that somewhere about 6 years ago. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could find something like that, or do it myself, now that I have a new PC and forgot to back up that folder.

    What kind of sounds will C4 and beacons have? There are countdown mods for both C4 and beacons. For beacons I got no objection, but C4 that is literally counted down in numbers is a bit too unfair. a series of beeps that increases speed as it get's closer to detonation is my favourite.     The Timed C4 already has the countdown timer on it, which is a great gameplay element and helper to both the team that planted it and the enemy team, so atm there is no count down beeping sound or otherwise.

    Beacons will be the same.
  8. I used to be pretty involved in clanwars, and most that I had been involved in had some very specific rules, but "no harvester walking" was not one of them. It may be deemed cheap, but it is a legitimate strategy that does not involve cheats or glitches in any way.

Any farther, and it'll make people who were busy fighting other units instantly aware of the stank/SBH's presence and allow them to react accordingly much faster than they otherwise would have.

  10. Tech levels was an idea we had at the beginning of the mod which, again, will not be in the first beta release, but something that is on our to-do list that can be expected sometime by the final product.
