  1. Oh @Nexus51325! I have one suggestion.

The fences that you put around the Repair Facilities, I like this idea. HOWEVER. I think it could be better to move the fence 180 degrees, and have the fence work as a barrier to stop the player's tank for quicker healing.

As it is, I can understand the logic, to help protect tanks from enemy fire. HOWEVER, from my experience, they fence in front, merely makes it difficult to repair friendly tanks quickly.

  2. I grew up playing C&C ... so when I heard Renegade was released, I got it as soon as I could... played it for years. Played A Path Beyond and Reborn. Always looking for new ways to play this great gamemode.

I remember hearing about Renegade 2007 (and the footage looked awesome next to OG Ren)... but I didn't have Unreal Tournament...

Years later, like 2013, I had stopped playing Renegade and had forgotten about Ren '07 (hadn't followed it at all). I stumbled across some mention of Renegade and that reminded me of the '07 version... then google led me to Renegade X ... then I sadly realized my computer wasn't powerful enough to play it (it ran at like 5 fps lol)... And I didn't get a good enough PC until 2014.

So i've been playing since beta 2 ...got sad watching the community drop like flies due to "UDK.EXE HAS STOPPED RESPONDING" ;(

Stuck around beta 3 but life sorta happened and was tired of RenX for some reason. I remember I got into GoldenEye Source at this time, and honestly it felt dull after awhile, not because the gameplay was bad, but the experience was lacking so much compared to what Renegade could offer. And that's what led me back and haven't left since.

The community is certainly a strong point of this game. And honestly I think the gameplay lends itself to that. You can just mindlessly run and shoot all day. You have to plan, communicate and be creative. And alot of that leads to far more entertainment than most games can offer.

  3. As an aside, I would recommend, maybe clairifying what Renegade X Firestorm IS NOT. To help temper expectations. Given the limitations of the engine and such.

Because from my understanding, RenX Firestorm will not be like the Alpha. And LOTS of people are being drawn in by that alpha footage 😃

  4. I mean who knows what holds for the future.

After segas success with Sonic Mania, and EA even letting much of the C&C remaster be driven by fan input, I think more companies are realizing it's more profitable to put fan communities above shareholders.

But if something like TA being contracted by EA, it could also mean the immediate end of RenX, with some sort of non-compete / C&D sort of order.

  5. Obviously the vote kicking system needs some work. More specific choices should be available for why the vote kick is being made... And then depending on the reason, certain rules should apply

Ei. If afk kicking, low votes should be needed

If kicking for harrasment or team hamper, low vote needed

If for griefing or say "other reason", high amount of votes should be needed. (At this point a mod should be notified honestly, but regardless)

  6. Yeah the game felt very floaty. And units seem to move way too fast for their size, it feels very strange.

And the explosions are all nearly blinding.

I've always been more a fan of "realistic" art direction. That's why I've always been pleased with the work done in Renegade X.

Earthbreakers almost feels like a step backwards...

But I always see critics complaining that RenX is "slow and boring". ...I'm not sure what they expect out of an RTS FPS hybrid. If you want more FPS, go play call of duty.
