Thanks to all for the support! Success! I am now able to play the game.
I think the previous unpack was corrupted somehow. I unpacked it a second time and the launcher was there.

I dont see UDK.exe in this file from itweeks.
And just to be clear i am trying to install the full game with updates without doing another complete download

This is where downloaded, extracted file resides.
I dont see a launcher button.
I have tried : unsetup.exe but that doesnt get me the game.
?Perhaps i need to extract to a different location?

Ok... some measure of success i believe. Upon the suggestion of Handepsilon ( ty) i got the internet download manager and used it.
I believe i have successfully downloaded the file from itweeks. But i am stuck on how to get it running on my machine.
When the dowload completed i waited for the program to assemble it all, then it shows it listed. I tried extracting it and it looked like it copied it onto my drive.
{edit : yes it is in my drive. it is in downloads compressed. compressed w z7}
BUT i do not have a renegade icon yet. How can i get it ?

Mark me bummed out. I tried again and failed.
I tried to download iTweeks file. It ran for about 2 hours until about an hour remaining. Then when i checked it said download failed.
I have now used 4000mb of my 15000 for the month. I could try once more this month if i can get a lead on what the problem is.
I would really like to join you all in game. Suggestions welcomed.

Deleted game and went to c/renegadex and deleted there as well.
Will try a new download when can.

I think my next attempt i will try the itweeks file download.
Madkill, i have left it sit up to 20 min of no download activity.
Schmitzenbergh, It does the first step, verify. But then jams on the second part...downloading

to be specific, the initial download works, but when i launch the game, the "?updater?" (the three bars of green) ... that goes part way and stops.

so..I am clicking the game download MSI given at the site.
also, itweek linked to the game file above. Will that perform differently somehow? maybe bypass my problem?

HI, back trying again and failing.
It should stand as a testament to the game that i keep trying.
Latest. I tried the new game download hoping it might go dif but it jammed up at 4.8 and did not complete.
I had uninstalled so it was fresh go.
RE previous suggestions. I appreciate them, but i dont know what MSI is, and i am not sure how to use torrent ( yes i know how lame i am). Would torrent make the game less to download? Where do i find this MSI.
If i can find hope i will try again next month if my data allows.

Long time player. I had to refresh my computer. Attempting to reinstall
So.... i only get 15361 mb per month of internet. I dont watch movies so it covers my gameplay.
I would love to play Renegade again... BUT !
The download keeps quiting at around 4.79g thru.
This has used 1/3 of my monthly allowance for two months of attempts and still i cannot play.
?any ideas what is going on? I swear i would pay for a cd in the mail.

Yes i tried the ultra low settings changes by doing the copy and paste routine in the file. It sure is funky looking. But i cannot say as it helped. Thanks for your attention to my plight.

i visit these forums once in a while hoping to find some news or fix that once again enable me to play this game. I have tried several tricks suggested. and of course turning all my settings down. No luck.

The game as it now exists is unplayable for me. The update has changed everything.

I have been laggy/unplayable since the new patch. It is very discouraging to me.
Having gotten no response in the bug forum i am looking around for some ray of hope.

Im bummed. I played this game original. I played this game recently. But i can not play this game now since the latest update. Only every once in when i find a non EU game can i tolerate the lag.
Mark me sad.

But i am having trouble enjoying games now because i seem to be too laggy.
Same machine same connection.
It is like this: alot of times my veh seems to stutter along.
alot of times i get huge spike effects.
Lots of the time i am getting killed and it is clear i just missed the action.
To be fair, my machine is minimal and i live in Atlanta. I am having the most trouble with EU servers now.
But i still have some trouble even when connected US to US.
Makes me miss the days of simple graphics and game where the action flowed smoothly and i could get lost in my imagination.

Perhaps a Publicity/Media team could be assembled to act at the right times to move things forward the right way. I am sure the developers are pretty busy. But if desired i bet they could enlist some help from the community.

Maybe the lounge mode could simply turn off the ability to destroy the base and allow for players to explore/test themselves against defenses and fight players without losing base. Might make some interesting situations.

An Excellent Initiative. This perspective is accurate and fruitful.
I think the time is ripe to plan a lounge map or some sort of area for smaller populations to hang out. The need is real. The only question is how to answer it.

I would like to create an Award for the Most Dynamic Battlefield and give it to RenegadeX.
After thinking a fair bit about what makes RenX special and unique, I think this is the best element.
Other games i play are fun and exciting, but the battlefield is static. Pick a fighter and help your team progress to a win. Usually only one way to win. Sometimes it is fight until you die then sit back and watch hoping the team carries through.
RenX is completely different.
Everyone starts on the same level so to speak, and then the battle grows and changes and evolves out of the actions taken.
Time and time again during battle i find myself gauging the activity of the battle and choosing
veh/char/weapons that will play well at that moment. A few moments later the battle has changed and i equip differently. The dynamic and fluid nature of the battle is awesome.
Add to this the fact that there are multiple paths to winning and you have a Lot of Gameplay. Players have a lot of paths to pick. Win by points? Win by defending? Win by destroying every building with c4/becon/gunfire. Ignore winning and just enjoy wrecking havoc.
Most Dynamic Battlefield Award goes to RenegadeX

Long time player, long time missing.
Seems like when last i played X mtn was a new map. ! Thanks to all the help in Support that got me back in game.
My top 5 impressions on my experience upon return.
1. i like the ability to spawn as an engr. or etc.
2. hotwire with heavy pistol and infinte ammo. Nice.
3. Graphics. Wow. Just wow. So much better looking and the colors ....... Great work !!
4. Maps. Nice improvements all round in General. GJ!
5. Idk about this surrender thing...... i guess if its neccessary.
