  1. I've seen Hotwires placing mines because they where trying to shoot me from a long distance with their mines equipped. That doesn't work with mines..

  3. I have a suggestion: change the texture on the rocks that are at the sea. The mossy texture looks good everywhere else, but having such mossy rocks next to that (salt?) water looks a bit strange/unnatural in my opinion.

  5. I agree with vleessjuu. It isn't OP, it's just a lot quicker to know if for example someone's infiltrating at the moment, or if there's anyone countering the Arty siege. Usually when someone's infiltrating or in heavy action they can't afford to stand still and start typing. In my opinion this would greatly improve the gameplay and teamwork. And it's a great way for players who are new to a certain map to see that map's layout.

    campaign

    I'd love a campaign as well, I do think it's a lot of work to make one so I don't see it happening in the near future.. What I also liked in original Renegade were servers with "co-op missions", vs bots. It would be cool if there's ever gonna be a possibility to make custom maps in a way that they play like a mission, either co-op or single player.
  7. They are rare, and they need an ion cannon to bring down a building solo, which takes 55 secs, so, I would keep them.

  10. That's a big changelist, i'm very excited for beta 4. I think the changes to Ramjet are good, especially that they're no longer able to kill free infantry with a single body shot, we'll see how it plays I guess. I have a question about this: I understand how this is useful with Mines and Timed C4, but what if you want to throw your last Remote C4 and blow it right after, I do this a lot and I hope it doesn't get changed. I'm also very excited about the support for custom maps, is it possible to get a RenX building and a Mammoth Tank for scale reference right now, so I can already start creating an environment with correct scaling? They don't need to be functional or anything, they just need to be the correct size..

  12. Thx for recording it all, love seeing the progress. I really liked Canyon in the original, and to me this remake captures the atmosphere of the original Canyon perfectly. The open parts of the base and the soil texture parts are a really awesome addition in my opinion. Did you ever want to make a self designed map? I think that would be the most fun to do, biggest point though is that it has to be good Game Design wise, it has to play well, and that's a challenge.

  14. Dit it as a Hotwire on Mesa two days ago, and there weren't any other players distracting the obelisk, there were only 4 people on the server. I walked into airstrip.
  15. What are you, a racist? Just messing, would like to have some alternate skins, like the power armours of Mobius (and Sydney), because walking around in a labcoat doesn't make me feel like i'm playing a strong class.
  16. Maybe you can rotate the Strip 180 degrees? (Just the landing strip, not the building). Problem with that though is that your vehicle spawns a bit far away from the center of the base, and maybe the vehicle will be more vulnerable to enemy fire (But then maybe it won't because you might not need to put the airstrip that far out to prevent clipping, when it's rotated). This is just a suggestion, it's up to you to decide but I thought it might work..
  17. Some things i'd like to see fixed: - Spotting locations back to Beta 2, now it says "Enemy Spotted near Barracks!", while the enemy is somewhere near the mountain entrance at Walls for example. This was better in Beta 2, expect some spelling mistakes and inconsistencies (I recall them on Lakeside) - X-Mountain: Floating trees, ladder bug, vehicles driving through rocks, vehicles being able to access infantry route. - Goldrush: I'm still able to get outside of the game area, near that abandoned mine, reported that bug once, a couple of months ago. - Don't know if anyone else has this problem, but: missing textures, some trees in X Mountain, some rocks in Walls, my gun once, but these are just small parts of levels so it's not a big problem. - "Your username" donated X credits. - Zooming in with non-sniper weapons makes a zoom in sound, but it's completely panned to the left. I'd also like the sbh to become visible for a shorter period than what it is now if they are shot. It's way too long now, once you get damaged once, there's almost no way to escape the enemies anymore. I think they're nerfed too much. Some interface things, in the endgame screen: automatically scroll the chat, being able to scroll with mousewheel. And most importantly: not having to scroll to vote for the maps that are at the bottom of the map list. Things I'd like to see added: Complex, Under, Canyon, and that new map named Daybreak, there's some screenshots of it in progress on the internet, it looks pretty awesome. Something for later Beta's maybe: an ingame teamspeak function maybe? At least something that makes teamworking better.
  18. Yay new making of.. videos! I think the best location for the silo is the first one you said, outside of the tunnels, near to where the harvesters will harvest. I think it would be awesome to have it sitting on a cliff, only accessible through the tunnels. I think it could work really well to have the silo in a "hot" part of the map, where a lot of action is, kinda like in Field, but I think this will be even better. Could be cool to have short wooden walkways hanging to the side of the canyon, to get to the silo.
  19. I like them a lot, but I think you should keep your timed C4 when you buy one. And they're a little expensive when the Power Plant is down, maybe it would be better if the price wouldnt double, but had a multiplier of 1.5x instead. And as you may have noticed, if you refill, you don't get your timed C4, you have to click on it, but I suppose that will get fixed?

  21. They should be made MORE visible to the enemy in my opinion, they should appear from just a bit further away is what I mean. Even though I love being SBH, they're my favourite, I think they are a little too hard to spot for the enemy, which results in 1 or 2 players constantly scouting in their base like paranoids (on maps without automated base defenses), rarely ever finding SBH's (I at least rarely ever get spotted/found). You should play the game a little more, you will find out that they are more than invisible enough. (Weird sentence I know )
