  1. I hate it when gdi can put mrls on the hill at the front of their base on Goldrush. They can then snipe vehicles and even the obby from a completely safe position that arties cannot hit from a similar distance. One of my pet hates
  2. Gonna miss the new maps for a bit longer but the changelist looks great! Thanks guys The priority is where it needs to be

    WARNING!

I wondered about that... Thanks for the tip
  4. In C# nice When I get some time available I'll take a look, I develop mainly in C# so it shouldn't be too hard to find my way around. And looks interesting Thanks for releasing this and your work on it
  5. Thanks for all your work making these videos kenz! Its been a blast watching through them and your work for somebody who has only made maps as a hobby is amazing if I say so myself Also thanks so much to all the devs for allowing this process to be shown. It really highlights even more the hard work and dedication put into this project, its inspired me to put a bit of free time into trying out udk myself as well as given me so much more respect for all the maps made I'm glad that the time is going to be taken to properly test the map and the fact that beta 4 and 5 are actively being planned and developed on top of beta 3's already large repertoire of changes and fixes. Some good thorough testing will do the map and all the hard work justice in the end. Unreal Engine 4 looks great in what I've watched so far, it also looks close enough to udk that you'd have a good idea of how everything basic works already. Also I hope to see you in-game sometime, it'll be great to play alongside one of the devs again been a blast, and if I have any questions I'll ask away, RokumanZA
  6. I think Germany's got this one
  7. I know, I expect it needs considerable playing around with before we get our hands on it So happy either way
  8. This is exactly what RenX is about, almost brings a tear to my eye reading this
  9. I think sky looks great now, maybe the clouds are moving a bit fast but that's fine too it looks windy Amped for possible inclusion in beta 3!
  10. I tend to prefer time limited games because of this as well. I occationally played marathon games (only when I knew I could play a long time) but for the most part I far prefer finishing a game to the end in a time limited game. That way I can get multiple games in
  11. I think you put the first half of the video twice kenz Video loops at halfway point after you say you're going to see why the sound isn't working
  12. To be honest, with the 7300LE you are scraping the bare minimum for running unreal engine unfortunately and 1 gig of RAM is simply way too little for this game, it actually likes having a minimum of 4. The source engine and tf2 are a lot more forgiving then udk on your system, you'll need to upgrade to get better results... That being said, I hope you can one day join and play. Its a great game
  13. Often it is the ending of the game that causes a crash, due to pt or otherwise. If you are getting these crashes mid game then try turning effects down

    new maps?

This ^^, an announcement will come as soon as the devs are happy that things are stable. There are some big changes in the works
  15. Nice almost at a playable state now it seems Are you planning any more livestreams or anything before you're done with the map?
  16. There is no program that kicks cheaters automatically unfortunately Just make sure you have the speed hack fix, and use an IRC server with a bot or just ingame adminkick commands to contral cheaters. An IRC bot with active moderators for a server can work wonders keeping cheaters at bay

    new maps?

There are new maps being worked on currently for beta 3 and beyond, at least 2 of which will be out in beta 3
  18. I dont think it does I'll test that out some time just in case tho...
  19. Nice, good to hear that worked for you!
  20. it does seem very quick, but it depends a lot on where you are too, most times 10-15 seconds are spent finding and getting to the beacon which can make the actual defusing time seem a lot shorter. 1 engie can quite easily disarm a beacon if you arrive there quickly, it takes in the region of 25 seconds, but its never a good idea to leave it up to that as engineers can easily be taken out when defusing. Always try to get a few hotwires/techs on beacons, and find and get to it asap are the best bets. It seems like a lot of time, but 50 min games can frequently end in a few mins with a rush or 2, so it depends on who's on with you and how good the teams at large are here. A few strong players on a team and you're good. I did see you on from IRC last night, if you could possibly get on a little earlier I'll have a game or 2 with you and show you some good tips Its 20% on MCT, a remote does exactly half the damage of a timed c4
  21. You can also watch the past broadcast from his profile in twitch, if you'd like to do that in the meantime. I do believe he mentioned uploading some of the footage to Youtube. Any estimate of starting stream time for today btw kenz?
  22. I remember those cards, had one years ago they were so good if you were stuck with agp at the time I initially thought possibly that the supported shader model was too old, but the HD 3850 supports up to 4.1 while Ren X only requires 3.0 if I remember correctly. The only other thing I recommend you try is this win 32 bit fix. It works for most unreal engine games. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... stcount=80 (Don't download the hotfix, its for a different game Do the try this section) Let me know if this sorts it out
  23. Wierd, on lowest settings it should be playable, although because the i5 is a 3337U don't expect too much from it with 2 cores, but yeah your laptop is capable purely specs wise. That said, I've seen a couple of other laptops with Nvidia Optimus battling to run Ren X at decent framerates, so it might just be a case of waiting for a fix unfortunately
  24. Haha thats alright , yeah maybe see if you can get a ram replacement or try a friends ram stick in yours. Otherwise I assume with that much ram you're running 64-bit windows, and if so there really isn't much more you can do system wise, its already perfectly good enough to run Ren X I also have an i5 and 16 gigs of ram and still have crashing issues every few games so until the next beta you may just have to try and live with the crashing its worth it to get ingame I hope your ram issue gets sorted tho and see you ingame sometime
