Miss some days and suddenly 3 vids behind haha. I have something secret in the works myself so looking forward to keeping up with this. Also gotto get back up to speed on kismet for one or two things I want to add so hope that comes up sometime, though I agree there are a lot more important things that should come first. Would also help for some clanwars if teams can stay the same as the last match, this might already be doable tho? Also possibly an option to swap the same teams between gdi and nod between matches. Some little things like that. This might be worth having as server side options for a warz server

The single player hon in black dawn was pretty cool even though bigger. Try the original hons later on in the renegade campaign, its a labarynth down there that can take like 10 mins first time to fully explore

Great news, I will watch and get ready for trying out some mapping stuff myself would you mind detailing adding in a custom asset at some point, I think I remember from volcano a bit but it'll be nice to have a refresh

I'm still very against the ramjet getting taken away from sak and havok as the main weapon, as well as shifting anti-light away to other weapons. This is iconic stuff that's getting changed and is a standard in the game. Is it that much of a game breaker that the ramjet one shots free inf? What about making officer classes still purchasable when bar is down then

I run on an i5-2500k, 16 gigs ram and a gtx 760 and get 60 fps or more quite constantly although it drops here and there (often when lots of players actually). Which is why the problem with the 970 not getting it confused me a little... It seems it might be a bit of an optimisation issue after all but possibly still something amd side as well

I personally find nothing wrong with the Ramjet damage vs light armour. It is the light armour counter late game and really the only ideal anti air to keep orcas and apaches at bay. It has always been this way in the original Renegade as well and I feel it should stay the same here. As far as vs infantry, I would say at most maybe add a half a second between shots? But really its not actually that op, and nothing a pic/ramjet cant do either... Also as far as free characters go I've taken out at least 4-5 saks with a marksman before so it can be done. I've also taken out many a sniper as a Sydney/Rav while on my way to take out vehicles. Overall maybe I would agree with a slight debuff but please nothing major, anything major would change the whole balance of the game as this class is vitally important in many different aspects of the game

I had a look at this, but wasn't really sure what advice I could give due to your specs being perfectly high and Bioshock Inf being able to run perfectly... If you haven't done it yet, trying a reinstall is always the standard troubleshooting tip. Other then that, looking back a bit, there have been more than one issue with that particular cpu (fx-8350). The game might be have issues with that cpu of line of cpu's in general? (I'm just guessing here I have no involvement with making the game). Beta 4 is coming soon in q1 next year, with a lot of changes, I'd just stick with the lower graphics for now if you can't find a fix and wait for beta 4. I know I had hell with beta 2 but beta 3 has been smooth as butter with I think 2 or 3 crash in months of playing it

I for one find the map fine the way it is, I don't find it too bright at all. But I remember another complaint like this before so you're not the only one

As above, what internet connection are you playing on?

Possibly see if you can do the update to windows 8.1... Otherwise it might be that 2 gigs is just too little Ram for the game, remember the OS takes up about a gig by itself already

Mesa and Goldrush are the only 2 maps I've seen that seem to have this issue from time to time

If you look at the top of the download list, there is a torrent version. I doubt many people are still seeding tho so it may be very slow to download.

As a test, because about the only issue I can find is a PhysX issue, try disabling PhysX on your GPU and play a game. I believe it is hardcoded to be off now in game, but just in case...

Amazing news! I've been doing some beginner stuff and playing around with UDK's editor just incase this happened! Great news and hope all goes well through the holidays and Jan on beta 4 It is probably better it goes through the proper testing etc

Perhaps what we need is a Defence version of this map with base defences and an infantry path reworked to bypass them, with the origional still in play (kinda like walls), it would increase map variability as well. I do think hourglass had its merits for base defenses in some cases. Otherwise I would prefer to see the map stay closer to the way it is now, perhaps with another flank point by infantry as proposed and perhaps a way with ladders to get to the top of the hill from within the tunnels, the tunnels are underused for obvious reasons at the moment

There would be way too much work to make this work properly. The way the engine works would beed to be completely reworked, and I don't see the devs redoing all the enginework when they are already most of the way there with what they have. I'm pretty sure udk wouldn't support this in any case

The black dawn mini campaign is the only taste of campaign I think you're likely to get to be honest. The focus is purely multi player

There will possibly be a steam release when, or after, the game is finished and fully released. No guarantees tho according to the devs

Wow a stank on the hilltop would slaughter unwitting snipers Issue definately needs to be reported, thankfully its not all that viable to get 2 trans heli and a stank to do this

I hate it when gdi can put mrls on the hill at the front of their base on Goldrush. They can then snipe vehicles and even the obby from a completely safe position that arties cannot hit from a similar distance. One of my pet hates
