  1. Thanks, too bad I don't use Facebook, I wanted to visit the website to find out some basic information like "where do most players even come from?" It doesn't make much sense to try and play with people from the other side of the globe
  2. Meh, I can't access the website no matter which proxy website I use. I'm located in Germany btw.
  3. Cherno

    Flying?

Just as any other vehicle: You buy them and they appear nest to the Weapons Factory. They are only available on certain maps, though.
  4. Hello! I'm 30 years old, also from Germany. I played with some other people last Sunday, we used the Aggressive Gaming Teamspeak server for comms, it was great fun viewtopic.php?f=131&t=72540
  5. You could say the same about GDI on maps ike Walls and the snow map, where no automated base defences exists, the base entrancve is wide open, and both sides have access to helicopters. On these kind of maps, it's GDI who has to do more teamwork, especially on the defense, or they will get nuked.
  6. A known bug, happens with all weapon upgrades, including Tiberium weapons.
  7. I came upon this idea last night and I thought I'd share it with the Dev team, maybe it has been considered or discussed before but anyway here it goes: What about having some randomized terrain elements on each map? The way this could work is as follows: Have things like bunkers, rock formations, civilian buildings, concrete barriers and so on be created at one of several possible spots at match start. You would have, let's say, three different places where you put the rock object inside the map editor, and add a small script that randomly determines at match start one of these spots as the final location of this terrain feature. Do this for several other terrain objects as well, and you have a map that has the same layout as always, but with some minor things different each time it is played. The bases should be exempt from his obviously because it's too hard to balance a constantly changing building layout. The randomized spots can be anywhere outside the base perimeter and designed in a way that they are not game-changers that suddenly provide artillery a covered spot from which to shell the enemy base, but instead forces minor adaption when approaching the base as infantry, for example.
  8. Kind of creepy, imagine rounding the corner and then seeing that guy just hanging there O_o
  9. I once (not really) saw 30 machinegunners kill a single Medium Tank. Machinegunners need a nerf.
  10. It's unfair to players that have joined after you and didn't even get the chance to buy a weapon upgrade like the Tiberium weapons. A new match should mean a blank slate with everyone starting off equally, not with some people having Tibrium Autorifles that put them at an advantage especially early in the game.
  11. I would guess that modifying the hitboy is out of the question, as nice as this would be for infantry healing. After all, it's the same hitbox that is used for getting shot and hit with normal weapons, so either those can hit better as well or each character carries a seperate set of hitboxes that only interact with the healing ray raycast.
  12. Yes we did okay I guess, at least I think we won all matches I hope to see you and sLaYer this week in RenX. I suggest just hanging out in the TS channel if yomeone wants to play, this way others can see that there are people waiting for players.
  13. Alright, thanks to all who played today on the MPF Slaughterhouse #2 Server, I think our little team made at least some victories possible. While we weren't flat-out game changers, we did manage to organize the occasional Flame Tank rush See you on the battlefield! Thansk to Agressive Gaming for the Teamspeak server, I am already thinking about joining this fine community.
  14. I've been sitting idle in the TS RX room the last couple of hours with some guy called sLaYer, however he wasn't in the game when I asked so I didn't bother to play alone. I hope some more people get online so I have someone to play with in a coordinated manner My TS Username is Cherno. edit: Nice, 10 minutes after I posted this we got a game going
  15. I thought about using a TF2 style targeting beam too, but then I realized that while the it's next to impossible to heal someone who is not moving away or toward you directly, this is more an issue of lacking teamplay and communication. Ideally, you would have comms and tell the wounded player to stand still. In public matches, it's mostly just a waste of time.
  16. The TS IP works. I still can't access the homepage though, might be a problem on my side of the connection, will try again later.
  17. Not actually you see a Red flash faster ( Beacon ) as a Blue one ... Exept if it's "hidden" in the manufacturing bay of the Weapons Factory
  18. The website appears to be down. Edit: And the TS ip doesn't work either.
  19. Use the server menu in the game launcher to select your server. If you use the in-game one, you will end up god knows where.
  20. 1. Yes, in fact today on Walls I managed to catch a sneaky Stealth Tank as I patrolled around our base in an APC when I saw suspicious dust clouds. 2. It seems like it's really a hit-or-miss thing with moving vehicles. If they stand still, it works most of the time, but if they move away from you you'll drop it on the ground mostly. Try to always attach the C4 to the vehicle's side.
  21. Thanks for posting, I might drop in this weekend, but one thing that's missing is what time zone you are located, if any? I would guess it's GMT+1 judging from your sponsor but I can't be sure Also, are most members Dutch and is the Teampeak language English?
  22. 1. Murphy's Law of Combat: If it is stupid, but it works, it isn't stupid. 2. Organized play =|= public matches. This is indeed common with all games, so no big news there.
