  1. old school ren players will always prefer lower player numbers. Big servers will (certainly) ruin most of C&C Renegade's unique gameplay. The origin of all current maps (beside lakeside), and the upcoming maps (volcano, complex, under) is a game, which was designed for servers with max. 24 players. In the end, discussions in this regard are senseless, because everyone can join the server he/she likes. But when I read something like "everbody likes chaos" or "anything below 64 players. that was over 10 years ago" I can only repeat: It's a remake (with almost the same design) as 10 years ago (better say 12). The developers had a reason for that.

    Hourglass

    Hourglass was one of, if not, the most hated map amongst the community, becauce of its narrow design + base defences. That's the reason why no 1:1 remake found its way into RenX, but in form of whiteout, which is in my opinion way better. No offense but I guess the greatest part of players will agree here, while there will be always some people who prefer the old design. So to keep it short, the chances that you will see the original Hourglass in-game are going against 0.0
  3. Hi, just yesterday it came to my attention, that if you use the 1st person view (or whatever you call that view) of the MRL you have to aim slightly left to hit your intented target. This doesn't apply for 3rd person view.
  4. I agree, that the tech/hotwire is too powerful since they can buy the additional weapons. My two suggestions: 1. You loose extra weapons after you die (keeping them across rounds seems like a bug anyway) 2. Engis/Techs/Hotwire can only upgrade their weapon to the heavy pistol or the carabine, but I think keeping them to pistol is somehow more fitting
  5. Beside the fact that the sand/dust/snow makes his stealth mode almost useless, I have the feeling, that even in stealth mode MRLS or such can lock him while he is tarned. At least thats possible, when he gets a random shot from a bullet or missile.
  6. Hi, since there is still not much teamplay established on public servers, I look for a clan or just a group of people, who play some closed matches on a regularly basis. Some infos about me: 28 years old from Germany played ol' renegade for almost 8 years and I know all the basics (and a bit more back in the days a played for the clans [M-I-B] and [TiS] (both german clans) See you ingame (only on servers with max 32 players!)
  7. Hi, as the title already says it's about a minor change, but I guess it's easy to implement if accepted. The respawn-time of the cannonry at the base entrance you can enter is in my opinion too short. They're really powerful and destroying them makes almost no sense because they're back in no time.
  8. The donation system isn't really user friendly. When you push ALT+N, you see the names and player-IDs, but in crowded servers the list is cropped, so you cannot see all the players. In addition you see the names of the opposing team. My suggestion is to remove the enemies from the list, because nobody would donate to the other team. Thanks edit: and it would be nice to see how much money the players have. In old-ren you could switch with the tab button the player-list on the left side to see also their funds.
