  1. So far the coolest moment was when i managed to take down 3 of the 4 enemy base buildings by just running in with beacon because they got no idea how to stop it.
  2. Tbh when playing soldier i just use the pistol most of the time as it outplays the rifle imo.
  3. I like this, i found the chainguns useless most of the time due to its slow rof to begin with and massive recoil going on a few rounds in, being able to burst this without having to spin up would be great.
  4. I think you will find a lot of people from the 2002 renegade era to be playing renegade x. Also the whole airstrike idea is something that needs work... a lot of work...
  5. Well if admins can disarm beacons it could go both ways, it could be done for good and be abused.
  6. Easy, you sit around the same corner never changing positions. Having an airstrike on your head is your punishment for not thinking outside the box. You what? You are talking about Turtling not Camping. Renegade have always been a peek-a-boo game on most maps, you are not supposed to drive around in the open or stand still in the open, you move in and out of cover to avoid taking damage, this is not camping. I think you should go back to the old renegade and play on some servers, perf with unlimited time and tell me everyone rushes. Please. Also the airstike defeats its own purpose, you can just spam it and get unlimited kills because it will generate unlimited credits and got nothing to do about camping.

[10] -Tiresias- Current win percentages for Jelly Marathon (Small games are less than 30 players, big games are 30 and above): Jelly Marathon: The definite test for overall Renegade balance. There's no way Field was that one-sided with a time limit. Letting the WF die and racking up points with Havocs definitely lead to more than 30% wins. In small games GDI definitely had the advantage. The only other clearly unbalanced map according to those numbers is Hourglass, which everyone agrees is a bad map. Even then I can see GDI winning a lot more with a time limit based on Havocs sniping artilleries and unsuccessful Flamer/Stank rushes. These stats are from a server with no time limit and really pointwhoring don't work that well at all with the pointfix but even then Field, Hourglass and somewhat City is unbalanced.
  8. I'm sure the whole !Donate "name" "amount" was a server side modification/addon feature and not in the game from the start but yeah, it would be sweet.
  9. Airstrikes work pretty well, and they are good at killing players camping around corners. If there should be a warning it should be the sound/sight. Besides changing positions should be rewarded. Camping? Please tell me how you camp in this game.
  10. Problem right now is that people don't always communicate making you often run all over the base to even find the nuke to start disarming it, and usually when you find it, there is usually 15-20 sec left.

  14. Well tbh i tried the air units once and never again, they turn and handle really really bad and take no damage at all while behind horrible at dealing damage. Stank however is more equal to Mammoth if anything..
  15. I had to split before the match ended, however being able to rack up 20 odd kills without leaving the safety. Of our base is insane, you rep, get creds, get air strike, paint target and enemy gone and this is even considering the map is very terrain heavy with not all that many choke spots.
  16. I love the smooth feel of the game, i don't see why you would limit yourself to 30fps or even 60fps. And the first thing you should do is turn of motion blur anyway and set FOV to max
  17. It's just not a kill until it's a boink.
  18. I really don't like the Airstrike at all, if would be OK if you had to throw a smoke grenade to the targeted area, maybe even be able to shoot the smoke to disable it.
  19. Sadly noticed this too, Unreal engine is getting old now and by the looks really easy to cheat around in. However when servers start rolling for real with admins 24/7 this wont be much of a issue.
