  1. I pressed (possibly held) scoreboard key during the victory/defeat screen and when the next game loaded it was stuck on my screen until i died;
  2. If you ask me about chat there should be a slider for how long it would show and a always shown option for those who like that.

While we can agree to disagree on certain point i think the whole thing is just a cluster♥♥♥♥ even with something visual in a closed area, no way everyone will manage to get away it'll be chaos, and if you ask me, once you breach the enemy line you should be rewarded by doing so (getting to attack their base) and not get blown to bits and being unable to advance due to spamstrike.

  5. Well it would be nice to get it on steam once the balance and bug fixes are done, but you can run it with steam as it is now.
  6. When I hear airstrike warning I just spam the fall back radio and people usually does fall back. Problem is with 10 mammoth tanks blasting away + the enemy artillery coming in a tiny voice is not going to change anything.
  7. No, airstrike is shit, we just worked our asses off to push Field back and when we started to breach the enemy defense they put out a few airstrikes and our whole tank force was out of commission, this whole airstrike is pissing me off more and more.
  8. Almost stopped reading here. It is impossible to ask people to make an independent evaluation, unless they are completely new to gaming. Many people are only asking for things they have seen work in other games; this does not become a bad thing solely because these features are found in other games. Neither should tradition trump potential improvements. On most other points you made I do not disagree. This way of assessment I do somewhat disagree with, because by that reasoning you could make the argument that the free classes are supposed to suck because they're cheap. I don't agree with your mindset because its more like "a free car should perform just as good as any sports car".
  9. Yeah, main issue is the sounds, usually nobody notice and if they do its only 20sec left before it goes off. And while at it, please give me my back Health indicator or damage location indicator? It'd be nice if the damage location indicator was more....apparent too. When you just start losing health, it's good to know what general direction the damage is coming from. Renegade had the damage indicators like in this screenshot (the red curved line) that informed experienced players where they were being hit from. I'd very much like to see this return as well as the health status update when damaged (ammo notifier too - while we're at it). HP, DMGI and Ammo

  12. Well, yes, however this guy played the game for max 2 days and is more or less saying the whole core gameplay "sucks", its to be expected that this would fuel some flames... Yes, wow, a few months before 1942 and ~1.5 years before CoD. Is this some kind of hipster thing? Im not sure how any of those games relate to Renegade in any way, 1942 was piss poor at launch (i still think its a bit shit but hey, thats just me) and CoD was boring until CoD4 which lasted til MW2 but also got nothing to do with anything in Renegade.

I welcome new players that want to understand how the game work and want to learn it, however most people just go out saying this game is shit because X and Y and this is when you start getting trouble. But to be fair renegade community have always been a bit hostile (at later date) and trolling if you ask me, renegadeforums just look like a shitpost forum a lot of the time, that's not to say there are lots of good stuff there too, but there needs to be a understanding that Renegade itself was a special thing that grew a niche group within it who have played it ever since and when those see new people ask for lower TTK and easier stuff or changes to core gameplay its easy for them to get tunnel visioned and focus on that rather than explain why it is and help them get past that. And im going to leave it at that note for now by saying all new players should put time and effort into learning the game and do research about the game before making posts or even playing for the first time to get a general understanding of how the game mechanics work.
  15. You do realize the the pistol is one of the best anti infantry weapons out there right? It's hit scan, semi auto, perfectly accurate and kills with 4-5 shots to the head. The only drawback is that the bullets vanish past certain range. A good SH can kill you in 2-3 shot bursts, easier than using the pistol. You've probably just been killing poor SH players or ones who were focused on doing other things than killing you. I've never seen anyone do that much damage with that weapon including myself. mall clip doesn't help the gun either. The basic weapons are more threatening and reliable. imo it should get bit faster rof and clip size, however you can kill a soldier with it easy.
  16. Welcome to the TibForum One thing I love about this place: Lots of stuff to blow up around here All of them! Personally i love the sprint, makes you able to adapt to certain situations easier. TTK seems fine to me and when you start editing this everything will snowball. Squads would be a nice thing to organize rushes and other things within a team. Personally i love the map design and everything i shows, i like my eye-candy. However, giving people the option to change the Boink sound or a check mark [X] On / [] Off boink sound could be a nice fix for you there. In the end its all personal pref. but the general gameplay is fine as it is.
  17. If anything it's easier to SBH nuke, last match I did, I nuked 3 buildings because what seemed like lack of understanding and teamwork, I even hijacked the enemy vehicle they left trying to find me after I blew up the WF. Server got kinda deserted after that....

Sadly I've been trying to get people who never play'd the old renegade when i did to join in on both Ren and RenX and they all give up after a few hours because they don't like it, mainly because they don't understand the game mechanics and never experienced the awesome game you can have on marathon with balanced and well communicating teams. It's going to be hard to change this as most people now days just give it a first try and go meh, i don't get/like/understand this and pick a, dare i say, easier game to play.

  21. If you ask me the game was never designed around 64 player matches more like 32 so its all good.

  23. I find it okay for vehicles but not for infantry. Did the old Renegade had 3rd person for infantry? I don't remember it exactly - so much time - but I think no. It did and is how at least 90% of the playerbase play the game.
