Mammoth tanks are not well suited to fight infantry close by. In this situation maybe using only med tanks and apcs together with trying to plant a beacon on the ob would have been better. i think new players might use mammoth too much. it is not necessarily the best vehicle to be in in an enemy base. also it leaves less room for your allies to maneuver.

Ya we will need to change that. For now i would advice to lower the EVA volume in the main menus audio settings to make it less annoying.

Hi I tried this after logging into the server as admin but I am not able to change this setting it says it doesn't understand this command. SO can you let us know how to increase the Vehicle Limit once you log onto the server as and admin from the console? You can only do that when starting the servers using the parameter i posted. On how to start a server with parameters see the servers section with its thread about how to start a server.

Start a server the way it is described here: viewtopic.php?f=119&t=71916 The connect to it by opening up the console, typically '~' and type 'open 127.0.0.1' to connect to it.

There will be an ingame popup once a patch arrives with a link to the download. The download will then be a normal installer exe file that patches the game.

Adding vote kick/ban would be useful for those times admins aren't around =) There is a vote option in the vote menu to kick players. Though votes doesent last long enough so that they often fail cause not enough players voted... we will adress that with the first patch though.

We are reducing the maximum ammount of players per server to 40 temporarily. This is because there are major issues with vehicles starting to lag with a high ammount of players. We want that every player has a smooth experience and till we can optimize the vehicles more we feel the need to decrease the playercount per server for now. Servers that were started with maxplayers set to something greater then 40 can not be joined anymore from the serverbrowsers. So pls restart your servers with the "?maxplayers=40" as parameter like this: CNC-Field.udk?game=RenX_Game.Rx_Game?dedicated=true?AdminPassword=?maxplayers= -port=

You cant disable bots completetly right now i think. This will come with the first patch. The thread about serverpages is here: viewtopic.php?f=116&t=71818

Countermeasures for now: if an admin is online definatly pls ask them to record a replay (command: admin demorec demoname). The demo/ replay records every playermovement so that it can be analyzed later. If cheaters would really become a problem for longer serverowners can set their servers to require steam. Then cheaters can be identified by for example again using demos/ replays and can be banned by both ip and steamid. We could also make a global ban list.

I dont know what you mean but you probably insulted me. Note: I did not say that we will not do anything against them. But its an 8 year old engine and its foolish to think that there are no cheats. And of course cheaters are seen at the day of release when they get the most attention. Even in any game from epic over the last decade cheaters were there from day one. Now flame me if you want.

You host a lan server like a dedicated server. you can specify an admin password then login as admin and type admin addbots x to add bots.

That usually happens when you have a gamepad pluged in or some other input device besides the mouse. Pls check if you have a gamepad or something plugged in, then plug it off before you play Ren-X.

But we still lost that game And Nod didnt attack from the side entrances very often thats why you had an easy time with Airstrikes. But we will look into ways to make airstriking harder.

Pls always name the map on wich the crash happened. We need to narrow it down. Feel free to always post in this thread when you crashed and pls name the map and if possible what was happening at that time. We know that often 20 players crash at the same time so its something server related.

Admins can also start a demorecording with "demorec demoname" after beeing logged in as admin. Every playermovement is recorded in the demorecordings and can then later be reviewed and can also help us to identify problems. A previously recorded demo can be viewed with "demoplay demoname".

Did you join through the external launcher or the ingame serverbrowser ?

I think its the frameratesmoothing option that can be found in the advanced settings menu. There are four submenues. I think its in the last of them. With that you can disable the cap. To change the cap i think its in the UDKEngine.ini file somewhere. Sry im on mobile arm, cant check. But it is definatly in some of the inis. You can try googling for frameratesmoothing in UT3/UDK and you should find explanations for it.

Especially the bots map awareness and tactics can still be improved a lot. But in the last months we focussed on the multiplayeraspect first. Bots will definatly improve in the future but for now they will have to do while we are focussing on the multiplayeraspect of the game. But we already have many ideas on how to improve bots that are waiting to be implemented.

Maybe you somehow entered as passenger. Next time this happens try hitting the 1 key. That switches you to the drivers seat. The mammoth has one passenger seat.

It might be related to ultra settings. Can you play on lower settings for a while and see if that helps ?
