The first release will only have CnC mode but if the game is blessed with a long live im sure there will be different gametypes created either by the comminity or by the dev team.

That depends if you have Unreal Script experience. At this time we only accept programmers with decent experience in Unreal Script.

We are working on a cooperation with clan wars.cc so that when you created an account there your stats will get tracked aswell as teamrankings. We hope to get this in the first release.

The airstrikes do very little damage to buildings to prevent this.

That much I understood. My question is what does that mean for when 1 player gets bored and starts spamming off humvees? Will the game let him continue to do that? Theres no limitation for that atm but we could easily add one so that you are only allowed to queue up 3 vehicles every 3 minutes or something. But if someone really wants to be a douchbag you also have the option to place a kickvote against him. If more than 50% vote for kicking him he will be kicked and cant rejoin the server till next map.

The A-10 also drops bombs but you cant see that in the vid (or only if you look very close) as the vid cuts away before the bombs hit the ground (cause we didnt want too long scenes in the trailer).

Hi,I can only translate but not code well,could I do this job? No you dont really need to be able to code to do this job. I could teach you pretty quickly what you would need to know. Could you send me a mail to rypel@gmx.de ? Then we can continue discussing that there and i can send you instructions and the files to change.

Even if we would get the devkits for free it would still require a lot of work and stress to get a game on one of the consoles. You would have to make it work with their controller, their networks etc. It would be crazy doing all of this again with no payment and we belive that this time would be better spent on improving the pc version. Its unlikely but not totally impossible though that some new people would be willing to join the team to do this for free. This is like an open source community project. Everyone that has something valuable to contribute to it can join the team and help. All the current teammembers come from the community aswell.

A lot of Dragon members have access to the beta version of the game. You can find the current localization files in the beta. All what can be translated right now is in those *.int files. There is quite some things that are not in those *.int files yet but we have our hands full atm. If you would really want to help maybe one of you could join the team to do the necessary work to the code in order to make translations work.

No it wont come to console. We have no funds to make a thing like a console port happen since there is no way for us to make money or to receive donations.

Hey, yeah we would definatly like to see that! Your leagues are very cool! In regards to servers and cheatprotection: We support dedicated servers (only windows systems though as UDK does not support have linux server support) and we try to have a bit of built in cheatprotection code. Other than that its UDK´s own anti cheat protection like fileversion checks. And then theres serverdemos you can take where you can watch everyone again from their point of view.

Yeah we will include an option to turn it off. Not sure if its already there but we plan to add a lot of customizable options like this, even for forst release.

We have no money to compensate people and when peoples lives get more stressfull they have to let go of some of their hobby projects, totally understandable and normal. Its called inactivity and every free project, clan or anything like that is affected by it. Of course we are aswell. Thats why the old site went down cause we had noone capable of maintaining it anymore. Only just recently we got a new capable webmaster to work on this for free. People that want to help this community project and have the skills to do so are hard to come by.

...if you do what R315r4z0r just said (which many people do), it's going to be a sacrifice you're going to have to take. Thats also my main concern with this. This feature would kinda dictate you not to drive backwards anymore in vehicles like the arty even though many people like to do that. Also driving sideways would make you more vulnerable. Beeing able to drive my vehicle how i want and as crazy as i want in the fights is part of the fun in this game for me so i would be worried if we introduce this. So if we would do this we should have a solution for this aswell like maybe only applying the extra damage when getting very close to the enemy.

I dont know what you mean with "admin bot" but UDK supports dedicated servers and there will be a server list. Yes We wont know for sure till we had some games with a full server. But an estimate is: A dual core with 2 GB ram reserved for RenX. Theoretically there isent really a limit. We will have to wait and see how many players a server can realistically handle. We have some ingame checks and hope to have VAC support if we get on Steam, but we dont have someone with the time and knowledge atm to code us our own full anticheat. People ask all those fancy features but sadly not enough people want to join the team to actually help. This is a project started from the community for the community and we hope that in the future more people will help the project by joining and/or doing mods/websites/servers etc. This is reserved for RenegadeX server hosters and so i guess we will only assign people to this group after release and if they host a RenX server then.

The .int files are not ready yet to be translated (most of the text is still in the code itself). We will contact you once they are ready to be translated. -
No you are not allowed to do that. Its still a closed and not an open beta. If you leak info about it you risk beeing banned from the beta. As we get closer to release the team will release more info about the game.

Dont worry, stealthed units are handeled accordingly by the spotting system. You will not be able to initiate a spotting message on a stealthed unit unless its very close to you (since if its close to you you can clearly see it even if its in stealthed state). I dont think disabling weapons when hitting the spotting key would be either necessary or realistic. And our inspiration for the spotting system really comes from renegade lan games or renegade games on TS. When youre on a lan or on radio with your teammates you would often say things like "Spotted enemy near Barracks moving towards Refinery". This simple layer of communication is something we are trying to let you do by just hitting the Q key to enhance teamplay in free for all internet games where youre typically not on radio with your teammates.

I accidently found out about this project through a trailer on youtube in 2009. I wasent a hardcore Renegade player but played it quite a lot at local lan partys and it was basically our favorite lan game for quite some time. Thats why i had no doubt about the potential of RenX and so, after following it for some time, i decided to see if i can help making it a reality. Im working on code.

Yes. The Unreal Engine supports multiplayer bots since Unreal 1 and that was released 14 years ago. So thats 14 years of experience and refinement on multiplayer bots. So all the basic stuff like this the UDK already provides. We "just" have to teach the bots how to play C&C mode.

This, and the admin can define a minimum playercount aswell so that bots will then enter and leave automatically based on actual player numbers.
