  1. The SBH making splashes in Renegade was only when they jumped up and down which is why only fools bunny-hop with a cloaked SBH in the snow or water. As for the Stank in our trailer, that's a current bug with the map. It shoots water spray everywhere you drive.

  7. I was unaware the Unreal Tournament 3 supported that. Crysis obviously, but didn't know about UT3.

  9. That's actually a pretty good idea; adding a grate or clear window to see some guts underneath the platform doing various whatchamathings when vehicles are repairing. At this point though, we don't even have the 4 basic Renegade buildings (Bar/Hon, WF/Strip, Ref, and PP) in-game and working just yet so we're not focused on the extra buildings. That's a good idea for when we get around to it though.
  10. That's because they are from Crysis. They're only placeholders though. We made our own palm trees now. Also we already decided which barrels to go for on the Mammoth. In fact it's already modeled and textured. But you don't get to see it until later. [/tease]

  13. The basis for a C&C Mode (code) isn't ready yet. Don't worry though, we aren't going to hold out on you guys until it is 100% finished.

  17. At this point no campaign is planned. Renegade's main strength was its multiplayer which we intend on completing before we would ever do a campaign.

Of course it's just a PR stunt for Red Alert 3 (who in their right mind celebrates a 13th anniversary?) like with releasing TD for free was for TW and they didn't include the expansion packs just like they didn't with TD. But hey, free is free and some people have never played RA1 or lost their discs so it's good for them.

  20. Ramjets are for skill-less cowards. (Unless they're being used to clean out a severe Arty/MLRS/Orca/Apache infestation.) I do believe though that we should be incorporating some of the changes made in server-side points/damage mods in Renegade as stock values in Ren-X. For example in vanilla Renegade the Ramjet gets a stupid amount of points for hitting a tank. Before n00bstories adopted a points mod, a team could be winning (let's say GDI on C&C_Islands) but then only 5 members of the opposing team busts outs the Ramjets and start tank sniping and can easily cheat the other team out of victory by sitting way out of a tank's range where there is no possibility of retaliation.

  22. You know, mouthing off isn't a way to get on our good sides. With all due respect, we don't "need" you so we don't particularly care if you play the mod or not. Whatever lets you have more fun man (playing it or just sticking with Renegade), that's your call not ours. What is our call is if we let mouthy people stick around on the forums or not. Now as long as everyone can let this topic slide (and the issue doesn't get brought up again elsewhere), you're welcome to stick around and have a casual chat. Maybe throw some shrimp on the barbie in the OT section, or provide constructional input on a model/texture in the Live WIP section; whatever.
