  1. Good stuff, keep it up! Nice to see the gameplay from a movie-like perspective. That scene with the ion and all the engies is really hilarious. Can't remember anymore if I was one of them... Only the part at the beginning with the rocket soldiers walking through the tunnels should have been a bit shorter.
  2. Well, we can try it out and see how it turns out in PUGs. It has been discussed often enough that both game modes have their pros and cons. But in general I would prefer to just rise the time limit to about 90 minutes, since most matches start to get boring after that.
  3. Chrome blocks insecure content on secure pages by default like embedded youtube videos here in the forum. But normally there is a shield icon then on the right side of the address bar. If you click on that shield icon, a window opens up with a link like “Load anyway” and if you click on it, all content should be visible for now. At least it's like that for me.
  4. I didn’t mean the feelings, but the reasons for your raging. I think Team 1 had a better coordination with the better commanders all in the same team. Team 2 also had no luck like on Canyon with destroying the refinery, which probably would have been crucial. Also the players got in a bad mood after losing multiple times and that there was no real sense of achievement. Therefore it was also a lack of people with a positive attitude and motivation.
  5. I don't get it that you don't get it. ^^ Just remember the numerous PUGs, which turned out to be mainly one-sided and where you were in the losing team and raging. Then you know what it was like. Or watch the in-game footage, if somebody from Team 2 recorded the PUG. Besides the ordered standard-gameplay and 2 rushes there wasn’t much anymore. Especially on Walls there was a to and fro of managing the status quo and organizing an attack, which then took far too long and the attacks of your team getting in between. Also wasn't my best day.
  6. Well, if the ban of GeneralHavoc was a highlight, then the PUG itself can't have been that good. Overall I'm with Newbie ("You"), the PUG wasn't that good from my point of view. On Goldrush Team 1 was dominating, which I think wasn’t very surprising with Bong, Quincy, Jeff and Yosh on the same team. Then I was one of 2 people who got moved to Team 2 for balancing, but without telling me beforehand. At least I heard no one saying anything about that, so I got surprised by that, which I didn’t like. Also I don't think that I’m a player who makes much of a difference. The crucial players (skill/mood-wise) are mainly the ones mentioned above. So after Team 2 also lost Arctic Stronghold, Jeff moved to Team 2, but only for 1 game (What was the point of that?). On Walls: After Newbie’s infiltration of the airstrip, Team 2 didn’t accomplish much anymore, besides defending the hill and the base from some attacks of Team 1. So at the end after Team 1 surrendered some people from Team 2 already left the PUG and Jeff moved back to Team 1. Canyon was okay basically, but also left a bitter taste. At the beginning Team 1 saved their ref from a chem rush and Team 2 tried to push with arties and flame tanks, but were slowly pushed back by meds. Then our refinery got destroyed and a well-placed airstrike totally pushed us back. Right after that Quincy placed an ion near the airstrip defended by meds. In anticipation of the airstrip getting destroyed a surrender vote passed, right when the ion failed to destroy the airstrip… Really a wtf-moment, but Team 2 would have lost again anyways and the morale was low after 3 defeats and a victory, which didn’t really feel like one and so we didn’t play another map.
  7. It's also my opinion that the revealing ability should be limited somehow. Maybe it should only show the enemies in a limited circular radius around it. Going with that on Field the communication-center and silo could be swapped, so that you can see mostly the enemies in the field and a part of the tunnel-system. Or Option 5: Remove it.
  8. Looks like it's getting abducted by the scrin. ^^
  9. Heroic for the first time! On Islands: http://imgur.com/u6BnP5W.jpg Scoreboard: http://imgur.com/gSAHuBr.jpg APCs filled with LCGs + Nukes finally won the match.
  10. Regarding the EMP-cannon, it would be nice, if there would be an icon which faction possess it like the ones for the silo and communication center on other maps. And maybe a countdown to see the time till it fires off. Apart from that I like the map.
  11. From what I remember, it was mostly laughing, especially Jessica. And game over... That failed rush immediatly reminded me of the failed McFarland Rush on Islands some time ago, but now the other way around.
  12. I know, but Islands was an option aswell, it would have been likely more interesting than Under. As a side note: If we would have chosen Tomb, we would have been GDI against Jeff on NOD, who was against destroying the stuck NOD harvester back then. Could have been a little revenge though... xP
  13. That's not 'smart'. By using a glitch you simply want to gain an advantage over the other team in a way, which wasn't intended by the developers and so in an unfair manner. Doesn't matter how 'often' you do it, you don't have to do it in the first place.
  14. And after watching Thommy's records of the PUG: on Walls he used the glitch on the NOD side ramp to get in the base with a med-tank two times. That way our pp got destroyed near the end of the game, not that it mattered anymore, but that's so annoying... Apart from that it was a good PUG though. Well, you insisted to play this map! I would have preferred another map, even if it would have been to our disadvantage.
  15. Well, on Goldrush it didn't look like that it improved in any way. Besides freak I can't tell if anyone else changed the team, the teams looked pretty much the same to me as before. Grassy Knoll was a really good match though, but I doubt that Team 1 would have won it, if they would have been NOD on this map. I think Team 2 with Jeff and Minji was still doing better. But basically I think it's good to swap some players and let the losing team choose the next map, otherwise we wouldn't have seen this match on Grassy Knoll.
  16. HAHA Who was my commander then?! Or was I Team 1 then and Team 2 after the shuffle? Dunno.. Total confusion ftw I think it was the other way around. He was on team 2 first and moved to team 1 later. I definitely know that I was on team 2 first and moved to team 1 for the last game, where freak was the commander.
  17. Oh, Henk is right. I didn't see that, my fault. Then it's good as it is.
  18. I also noticed that and wondered about it. So I tested it out and it looks like that it depends on the direction of view of your character while entering a vehicle. If you are looking at the vehicle while entering it, you will leave the vehicle on the opposite side and vice versa. I think it would be better and more logical to enter and leave a vehicle always on the same side though.
  19. Well, I noticed that aswell some time ago. I don't know if it was always like that or if that bug was introduced with one of the last patches, cause I haven't noticed it earlier. Btw the turbines of the orca also behave odd depending on the angle from which you look at them. If you look at the turbines from the side they are spinning, but if you look at them from above they slow down or even stop spinning.
  20. I experienced something similar last week, also on whiteout. I was an sbh at the front entrance of gdi base and got shot straight to the head by an möbius from what I think was too far away to see me. I was dead nearly instantly. It felt odd to me, but I thought of it as bad luck and played on without saying anything. Later another player who also played an sbh, mentioned the same experience I had in the ingame chat that he got killed by that möbius guy. Looks like rocky experienced the same now.

    AFK bot please

My experience with the afk bot once: I still remember a match last year, where I was repairing the HON for a while (I wasn't afk) and got a message that I would be kicked for being afk, if I don't move or something like that. I can't remember the exact message anymore. Even after moving around a bit, while still repairing, I got kicked. When I rejoined the match, the HON was destroyed, because I was the only one repairing it at that time. That was really nice... So at least it needs some tweaking, otherwise it would be nice to have again.
  22. My game crashed some time ago, after that I also got an error message like that. I didn't check the log file back then, but seemed like some files got corrupted. Reinstalled the game about 3 times, also with a new downloaded installer till it worked again.
  23. Then what about an additional option for the cockpit view in the settings menu? If this option is checked, the cockpit view will be integrated into the 'F-cycle' and so it's only an optional setting for the people who want to use it.
  24. From the reviews I have seen of the Intel HD 3000, it doesn't look very promising. Even older games seem to be only just playable in low settings and a low resolution like 1280x720 or even lower. So I don't think you will get a better performance anyway then you got now.
  25. Yeah, the harvesters seem to get stuck more often lately. And at Walls the nod harvester is performing a 'pirouette' at the entrance once in a while.
