  1. Okay viking, please STFU about the 8800, we all get that you have one, I have one too, but I don't include it in every single post!
  2. Get It, play it, play it more, then learn the editor.
  3. Lol @ 8800 in my old system, I'm just going to keep it like that until I get my other parts. (I know I triple posted)
  4. Hmm the link diddnt go... ill take a look when I get back to my pc
  5. Great tutorial, just followed it through, lookey what I made
  6. Great tutorial for introduction to UV mapping, (unwrapping) this is the one I learnt from. http://waylon-art.com/uvw_tutorial/uvwtut_01.html
  7. Well, I broke down and got the 8800, it should be here today. As for my other parts I could wait for a very long time as they are from ebay.
  8. Just so you aren't mistaken, we don't really have a single individual leader, anyone who wishes to take more of a leadership role is allowed to do so within the team, and all decisions are discussed and then agreed upon with all active/present members of the team. Secondly, If we were to do this there would be no point in making a "separate" team to build the single player, we would just recruit people with the time and knowledge into our team with the task of designing single player missions and such.
  9. Everyone's asking me for my old stuff, let it be known that I am selling it to my Dad, and that is the only reason that I will be able to get this upgrade.
  10. Okay, I bought : http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...p;rd=1&rd=1 and http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...p;rd=1&rd=1 Now, I'm getting 2x1gb of DDR800 ram. Only thing I haven't bought or decided on is the video card. I am really torn between an 8800gts and an 8600gts, I know the 8800gts is much better, but I don't want to spend that much on a video card. Any advice would be great!
  11. I actually never thought of the idea of having a tutorial since it can take a game or two before some people catch on to the basics. And then quite a few more before they get everything that could be explained in a quick 5 min video. I think we (or I) could manage a little tutorial video, kind of like the one for titan mode of BF2142.
  12. I;m on an extremely tight budget, so I have no choice but to stick with the 6300. I've found some items on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...p;rd=1&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...p;rd=1&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...p;rd=1&rd=1 I'm hoping to get them all somewhere around the $200-$275 mark. Otherwise I'll keep scrounging around eBay till I find what I need at a price I can afford. Edit: The 6600 is WAY more than $20 more than the 6300 http://canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=Sh...&cid=CPU.84 and http://canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=Sh...&cid=CPU.84
  13. I think it might even be possible to have an in-game board with the map diagram on it that you can draw on. Maybe if one of our coders gets really bored one day...
  14. That's pretty cool, but I don't know about the legalities about directly ripping models out of one companies game and putting them into another companies engine. If I were you I would do it for either battlefeild, or renegade.
  15. You coun't play the game anyway fobby
  16. I think 2gb is the new 1gb
  17. I liked nosebleed
  18. This is a mod, you will not need to buy the mod itself, but you will need to buy the gmae it's based off of. (Unreal tournament 3) You will likely need to get some PC upgrades to play Ut3, though our mod's minimum spec's may be a little under that of UT3
  19. I am currently running: -AMD64 3500+ -Nvidia Geforce 7600 GS -1.5 GB Generic RAM -Some cheapo motherboard I was thinking of doing a big upgrade (for me at least) in september, getting a 650i motherboard, 2GB ram, and an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300. (keeping my video card for the time being untill I can save up enough again.) My question is: Would I be farther ahead spending $500 getting that ^^^^ or, for $200-$400 buying an 8600 or an 8800?
  20. I don't get why people think that this mod will just be like modifying renegade. There will not need to be a mixed toolset, you make the maps exactly the same as you make maps for unreal tournament. If you want to know how to make maps for our mod, learn how to make maps for unreal tournament, not renegade.
