Totem Arts Staff NodSaibot Posted September 18, 2017 Totem Arts Staff Share Posted September 18, 2017 What kenz is trying to say is that EA won't allow TotemArts to distribute the game on any platform. So, unless you go to EA and somehow make them or allow them to distribute the game, it won't happen.
Syntharn
What a strange policy, i mean its EAs brand and its been dorment for years. It isn't hurting their monetization from the brand at all since its non-existent since C&C 4, its just a huge free commercial, introducing new blood to a series thats dead while keeping the diehard fans hooked. so maybe when EA decide to revive the C&C series, there will still be a fanbase to work with. win/win
j0g32
I don't understand their perspective either, especially from a business stand point. It's not like we are competing with any of their products, quite the contrary...
boxes
think rypel mentioned before that it was because EA didn't want people to be confused that renx is a fan game and not a game developed by EA themselves, which makes sense because since the game uses one of their IPs, people who play renx could come to expect a certain level of quality of a AAA title and since EA never actually took part of development to assure that, they're not willing to take the risk that could indirectly hurt their image
