Same here. Pending and all permissions given...

After using the Launcher to download maps today for the very first time RenX would not start (black screen). I uninstalled (!) an reinstalled it (via old torrent file) updated launcher, updated game = problem persists.

Now i downloaded the installer BUT... pending is all I get.

You guys could really stand to distribute the updates via torrent. It'd make it easier on you guys, while also making it easier for those of us who would prefer to use them, and those with slower connections who cannot stay online until the download finishes/have intermittent connections. Especially when you consider the size of the download.

@DarkSn4ke Oh, I see what happened. First, I missed this bit. Then second thing that happened was that I didn't really figure that the download for that wouldn't be on an "update" post, but rather under the downloads page. And the third was that it wasn't displayed in a format like the previous one was, on the most recent update post.

I feel dumb for missing it, but at least I know why I missed it.

:D I think the download section gets a bigger update every 2-3 patches [just a feeling though ^_^]

As the devs get no money but infinite love n worshipping fools around em, maybe we cant expect to find everything clearly sorted at all times - but what you can do after each update is this: scroll down at the bottom of each update news

maybe you got to wait some days but Tweek will add those links [at least he did that for the last... *x* updates]

it's an indie project after all. community just got to help each other :x

I'm having the same issue. I added firewall exceptions, uninstalled and reinstalled, and still am getting "Download Pending." I actually had this problem about a year ago and just uninstalled for about 8 months because nothing would fix it. After 8 months I tried ago and it worked fine. Now it's broken again. It's hard to say that my settings are to blame. Is it possible there is a glitch in the launcher?

So it was an external download, I tried it with or without and I'm still stuck on "Pending" when doing a fresh install. What a hassle.

 

Assuming you downloaded the BAT file, you must be specific on following instructions. You need to download the BAT file, place in folder of Launcher, and THEN RIGHT-CLICK AND SELECT "EDIT", and change the URL line to one of the listed ones.

The BAT file by default has 5.281 links. You need to insert a 5.282b link.

So, because there's no test like a field test, try the current beta launcher, as it's being built to get around these issues.

Hmm strange, there hasn't been any reported issues from this mirror as far as I am aware.

Yosh/Agent/Schmitz may be able to help you further. The launcher has been patched recently and should prevent most of the common issues from occuring. 

 

In the meantime, you are able to download a full version of the game from iTweek's DLs this should stop any issues for now.

whenever i launch the launcher it tells me it is either my first time running RenX or my file is corrupted do you wish to download yes or no i click yes it goes to launch something but as soon as it opens it closes and it wont download so i cant play RenX

Check if your Anti-Virus is blocking it. That's my general problem with the launcher trying to update.

I would suggest to press No and try to reset the game. Some datas messed up and will be replaced with good ones.

If that doesn't work, reinstall you game.

@Luhrian Plz stop recommending the full build. Use the MSI + Launcher to prevent any file permission problems and other weird things. Most of the people had problems due to the full build not having correct permissions. If the launcher bugs, it's probably something on your system that is wierd as I've now tested the launcher on so many systems. (One of the buggers is MSI afterburner) Use the full build as a last resort or if you need a http download.

If you have problems just ask here so we can fix them. If everyone just downloads the full build everytime, the launcher can't be fixed as we get no bug reports. The launcher also provides the most recent and non-altered version of the game.

As for @Sparkus: Check if the file "DefaultRenegadeX.ini" is present in %YourRenXFolder%\UDKGame\Config.
