  1. I was 6 when the C&C95 demo came out, and it was a pretty big part of my childhood growing up. I'm still a big C&C fan, but I dislike C&C4 a lot, and I feel indifferent about RA3 and C&C3.

  2. What do you mean "recruit" players? We do monthly updates and post them everywhere in the C&C and UT community, as well as ModDB. Every now and then I try to email magazines, but so far only one has talked about us.

This is why we need the community's help to spread the word about the mod, and play regularly.

Yes, there have been less people playing recently. This is because our most recent update, 0.5, is now over two months old. The team is hard at work on the standalone versions, which will feature everything 0.5 had and much more. It will take a few more months out of us, but I expect there to be a rise in the playercounts. We will also be doing updates in between.

I think that this problem has nothing to do with AI. Believe simply adjusting weight/mass of objects should change this outcome.[/b]

I don't think so. Making it lighter will just make it flimsy, but it will still crash into people. The difference is, people would be able to push it away, which creates bigger problems. It was like that in 0.35
  4. Who: Renegade X and MP-Gaming

    What: C&C Renegade's 8th Birthday

Where: [MP] ReneGame 2010 server (IP to be provided on Thursday)

When: Friday, February 26th, at 4:00pm EST (Eastern Standard Time)

As many of you are aware, this Friday, February 26th, is the birthday of C&C Renegade. On this day, we would also like to invite you all to ReneGame 2010. Just like last year, Renegade X will be hosting a game of C&C Renegade to celebrate its 8th birthday. This year, the server being supplied by our friends at MP Gaming.

The purpose of the ReneGame is to simply enjoy a good ol' game of the original C&C Renegade, the game that we are remaking. This will be our third annual ReneGame, and they've all proven to be quite a blast. Play with developers from the mod, as well as fellow C&C Renegade & Renegade X community members.

The event will take place at Friday, February 26th, at 4:00pm EST (Eastern Standard Time). The server name will be "[MP] ReneGame 2010". More server information, including its IP, will be provided this Thursday. We'd like to ask you all to come 10 minutes early if possible ;)

We would like to highly recommend every participant of the ReneGame '09 to use Teamspeak 2. To download the teamspeak 2 client, simply go to http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads&archive=1

The purpose of using Teamspeak is to maximize teamplay and therefore push C&C Renegade's gameplay to its very limit. Teamplay will be key for this game, to achieve the highest potential of organized action. We will be using the Renegade X teamspeak server. The TS2 IP is 75.126.220.122:8769. Server information, IP, and direct-connect info will be released on Thursday, probably sometime in the middle of the day, so visit this thread on Thursday to get this vital information!

And here's a short clip from the last ReneGame:

    Hope to see you there!

  5. As most of you know, most people play Renegade X between noon and 5pm Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5). We have more players scattered throughout the day, but generally speaking, those are our peak hours. This is because much of our fanbase is European (German, Dutch, British, etc.) For players in North America, this doesn't give too much play time. For players in the West Coast, as well as places like Australia, New Zealand, China, there are no real play hours.

Lately the team has been trying to get a night-time audience . Last night we played three hours in the AM's (midnight to 3:30am) with about 15 people. To help numbers at night, I ask our fans to help populate the servers. Get together with some friends and join in; more people will come when they see people in the server.

    Thank you.

  6. Because playercounts usually depend on the time, since this is a mod and not a retail game. I think the best time was 3 hours ago from your post, and the best days to play are Saturday and Sunday. But yeah, between 6 and 20 people are playing most of the time, so certain times are better than others. On weekends at around 3:00pm EST, the player count hits around 20-30.
