  1. I personally don't like that perhaps the best feature of the new update (tib sun vehicles) is tied to the crate system. With the default spawn rate, there is a good chance no new vehicles will be seen the whole game. With an increased chance, people will go crate hunting crazy, leave their tanks, stop attacking, etc. A better system would be in my opinion to in addition make them purchasable from WF/AS, but at a high price, like 2-3x the vanilla tanks (say 3000 for a Titan, etc), where you essentially "pay for the skin". It would make battles possible which we've seen in the Beta 5 trailer.
  2. It is important you remain calm. If you are feeling cold, try rubbing your hands to your chest. A rescue team has been dispatched. Help is on the way!
  3. Isn't it related to the fyling vehicle surfing damage? Maybe the game considers the Hovercraft a fyling vehicle
  4. Lol Bro you misunderstood me, I left out an "it" from "people here don't want to change". Sorry for the confusion, I am very much happy renx is changing and how you guys are helping it, I meant I just accepted you don't want to put vehicle blockers on the aforementioned spots
  5. Obviously no; Unless you mean I had a bad experience for the past year in this regard. But you are right that people here don't want to change. Ok by me, /thread.
  6. Dealing with a camping infantry is much easier than with a vehicle. There are ways to deal with camping snipers, camping SBH, and even a hiding tech with remotes* (although I have never seen one for the past year). Once again, inf-inf is not a problem, camping inf is not a problem. Camping vehs is the problem. (personal rant)And it's hard for me to understand why you don't have this experience when playing this map..(/personal rant) @Canucck: it is also a problem on AOW maps, just on EKT marathon with high mine limit it is more straightforward. *just throw your own remotes above the conrete block
  7. Eh most people in this thread don't agree, I get it. Just try playing a game on EKT Goldrush when a guy camps hand/bar for 40 minuts. You will see it just kills the fun..
  8. Goks said it right, first try looking for a mod ingame (!showmods or just PM anyone with an EKT- or [TmX] tag, they will help) then request a mod. Bad mining can be gamechanging. Hopefully the situations will get better with the upcoming tutorials.
  9. Advertising would be good, but I somewhat agree with BroTranquilty - supposedly there are changes coming with tutorials and stuff making the game more enjoyable for both new people and old ones (e.g. less overmining) What would be ideal is to get the Beta3 playerbase back with the upcoming changes, then "hold out" until the 4 greatest bugs* are fixed, and then we are good to go. *SBH fly bug, disarmable C4/floating mines bug, remote/timed/proxy c4 bug on refill, weapons not shooting bug
  10. If it would be only 1 person in a vehicle and noone else that would be managable. The problem is when that vehicle starts shooting, people in the vicinity easily notice and go help it. It is kind of hard to deal with a vehicle from a narrow corridor, when he is either being repaired or a sniper is taking potshots at you while you try to deal with him. And people saying he will give up: There are many "dedicated defenders" (I mean this here as a pejorative term) who literally spend all their gametime sitting in that vehicle in that spot.
  11. If we are talking about a 45 mine limit server and about Canyon, 6 is a good number, you still have like 8 mines to mine the tunnel.I personally don't care about who is new and who is old; if you mine like that (i.e.Bar entrance on Canyon), I first warn the person in PM and teamchat, then spend my next 5-10 mins remining the base, and if I still see him remining then that's a kick.
  12. Many times people just sit in APCs or Arty/MRLS and camp the bridge, locking down that path completely. It kills the fun, bridges should be the scenes of back and forth infantry battles, with defenders having the advantage of mines and base defenses. So I suggest there should be vehicle blockers near the front and the side of Hand of Nod and Barracks. What do you think?
  13. I think it got canceled or people left before it started. I don't know the details but I noticed this in the TmX shoutbox. Yeah we are sorry for that, the only 3 people who knew the password for the server was unavailable...and by the time a workaround was made, most of the people (around 20) left.
  14. Here is the TmX one: http://www.thematrixren.net/index.php?/topic/1315-pre-beta-403-mutator-changelog/ With a good discussion, I must add.
  15. That happens everytime you buy an Orca/Apache. And Rypel is right, it's just a visual thing, there is no "plus life" at the start.
  16. The thread is about ammo for infantry, isn't it?
  17. Currently it is hardly noticeable (we are talking about a 6,25% change). Maybe I need repairs a bit more frequently, but that's it. I would like to mention though that Apache/Orca feels stronger now, simply because noone is using rocket officers anymore.
  18. You didn't say, but you agreed with it: Btw I like Goku's idea!
  19. Most games GDI dominates field with tanks, with this Nod would get a new possible way in with infantry. I would like this path/run in to be simply hard to do, but not impossible, like as it is now. (GDI will still see the smoke rising between WF and AGT, in a quite obvious way)
  20. Yeah just tested it, it's on basically every non-flying map. Hopefully it will get fixed in the next patch. Also if we're are expandings this discussion to all maps, there is one more spot I'd like to get blocked, on XMountain (this spot is currently illegal on the Matrixren AOW): http://imgur.com/Lmn2nOQ,WdsMZAX,96uixAd,YJZbcZf#0 (4 images) For lazy people: On the rocks near wf. The problem once again, it can only be disarmed from 1 specific angle. And I'm not 100% sure it can even be reached with an Engineer's beam.
  21. This is what is impossible to pull off currently. You need 2-3 perfectly placed smokes, which will 100% alert the whole GDI base. It just never happens in public games, hence I'm asking for a change.
  22. No. You misunderstood me, I wasn't talking about the obvious PP tunnel route which everyone watches and camps. All the bar, ref and wf you mentioned can only be accesed by this route. And if any infantry can reach even PP then it's already too late and gg. I was talking about the other inf route, as a second possible, and not so obvious way to reach the GDI base, just like the GDI has one to Airstrip. Again I'm not saying there should be a direct route to wf doors, but it should be possible to reach WF from that route with using only 1 smoke instead of 2-3.
  23. I don't know if I'm posting in the right section or not. The first place is what we all know: the Barracks flagpole nuke. Is there a way to block that in the next patch? The second one I met for the first time today, is on the PP: http://imgur.com/a/NnzZi For the lazy people: My problem with this spot is that (as you can see from the pictures) you can only disarm from 1 angle, which a sniper (or SBH) can easily camp. I recommend also blocking this spot.
  24. Many people are saying Under is slightly GDI favoured (not as much as Canyon, but still). One of the things I don't like is the infantry path. GDI can literally walk to Airstrip unharmed. And I'm allright with asymmetric map design, but. Nod needs like 2-3 perfectly placed smoke to be able to run to WF. This is almost impossible to achieve in a public game, and even then it will 100% get noticed. I suggest the infantry path near WF where the AGT can't shoot you should be longer.
  25. I'm personally quite content with how things are now. It's nice to be part of the "unstoppable duo", and like 70% of the time I get thanked for it. Tanks not paying attention to repairers is true however (the pushing around to enemy fire, etc.). You know in Africa there are some small birds who travel on rhinos, and pick the bugs off them? This is how I feel tankers are, they are just doing their stuff, then notice 'heh there is a little engi here'.
