  1. BIATCH only detects a cheat after it's been used. Someone with FinalRen could oneshot every enemy building before they got kicked. Renguard simply prevents that from happening in the first place.

    Not saying Renguard is without its flaws though. I would often get kicked off by it for using an unauthorized program completely randomly.

  2. Sbh are better at evading detection in Ren X because of sprint and the bloom effects in most maps that make them harder to see.

    Bring back the footstep sounds and kicking up dust, increase visibility to counteract bloom effects, maybe extend the visible range a little.

  3. The new laser rifle is better against newbs who stand still when disarming a beacon and can't react fast enough when you start firing. It works bit like the pistol in the original Ren, which is good because the Ren X pistol is less effective.

  4. Seems interesting. This would be similar to a fighting game where both players use the same character (happens a lot), or an RTS game where both players choose the same race.

    An easy way to implement this would be to have both sides access the same Purchase Terminals. Not perfect since the buildings would still be different.

    And you're right, no one can claim the other side is OP.

  5. The purchase icon is just a graphic. That's why it still says 700 even though the price has been increased. The devs just need to put a few lines of code in there that tell the game to change the graphic to whatever the price was set to.

    I'm not sure why the airstrie icon doesn't change.

    I played on a sniper server and they made everything cost 999999 credits and it showed on the icons.

  6. Feels like every reload time is too long, especially Sydney/Raveshaw, snipers, and helis. Still don't get why the devs changed some of these.

    Which contrasts badly with the fast-paced movement of this game.

  7. Marathon on Islands or Walls is a nightmare if you're on GDI. You're pretty much on a nuke response team the whole game. And Nod doesn't have to worry about wasting credits or giving you points for disarmed nukes. It's no fun having to defend for an indefinite amount of time.

  8. Someone from GDI managed to get into the airstrip and destroy it without the obby killing them.

    Seemingly related is how you are invincible in the water.

    On a side note, it seems very easy to infiltrate the HoN on this map as GDI. I have no clue why the obby sometimes decides to turn a blind eye.

  9. GDI should have the stronger tanks in the game, because Nod is focused on stealth and speed. This is what C&C lore tells us anyway. It's very hard to balance this, but in the original Renegade, the artillery was extremely powerful that it made mammoth tanks and the MRLS useless. Only an organized medium tank push could break through an artillery barrage. If you never played the original Renegade you wouldn't understand how overpowered the artillery was. GDI could not move anywhere without taking splash damage, even inside their buildings. And your screen would be shaking all the time because of the artillery shells. It sort of made the game ridiculous because Nod had the best tank in the game and also had the stealth advantage. The devs changed this in Renegade X by making the artillery much weaker than before. In my opinion a bit too weak as new players have been complaining about how overpowered GDI tanks are.

    As for the stealth black hand soldiers, we can only wait for the devs to fix all the glitched beacon placement spots and possibly make sbh more visible (the bloom and visual effects in this game make sbh much harder to see than before). Plus they can sprint now so it's easier for them to juke you. I agree it's overpowered at the moment, and many people have abused the glitched beacon spots to singlehandly win games.

    Note that this game is a work in progress and the original Renegade was not perfectly balanced either. My general impression is that Nod can easily win maps where there is no defense because of sbh, and GDI will win maps where there are defenses because they have better tanks and they don't have to defend against sbh.

    My suggestion to the devs would be to fix the bugs, make sbh more visible and beacons louder and more visible too, and buff the artillery. I feel this will make the game much more balanced.

  10. Ran into the hacker with a website for his name in Rencorner just recently. He got killed a few times and his team was losing so he left. Good thing there's no invincibility hack, and no hack to make yourself not a total suckass at the game.
