This is a Test Post Edit: Ok, cool. Before it wasn't letting me post. It kept saying a moderator needed to approve it first.

  3. Yea... I never really understood why there were two versions of Sydney in the game...
  4. I forgot to listen to the song... Anyway... I'm going to be honest here: I'm not really digging to new mix. I didn't really like the old one either (the old remix, not the original song. The original rocks) I appreciate the work the creator put into the song. I don't think its bad... I just don't think that it did the original song justice. With that first remix, it totally changed the tone of the song to sound more subtle and have much less of an intense, action-packed vibe to it. This new one has too much going on at once and it feels like everything is clashing and fighting for center stage. I can't really tell where the main tune is located in all of the noise. I will hear something that sounds familiar one second and then it will totally change to something else as some other sound. It doesn't really sound like a set tune... just a bunch of unrelated sounds playing at the same time. You have to listen really hard to hear the tune that this song is supposed to be mimicking/remixing. Also, like the later half portion of the song seems entirely new. That's just me though. I think it still sounds pretty well made, my main gripe is that it sounds far too different from the original. And I know, before you say anything, no I couldn't make music like that if I tried. That's why I'm still complementing how well it was made.
  5. Omg! Everything looks incredible! Sydney looks awesome!
  6. Where there are many factors you have to consider first before you consider language and gore as deterrents for the game. 1. Firstly: Unreal Tournament 3. If you wish to play Renegade X right now (which is a free mod for UT3) then you have to have a legal version of UT3 installed. Unreal Tournament 3 is rated M. It does have some language. It does also have a lot of gore BUT it can be disabled in the game's options. However, this is considering that you are going to actually be playing Unreal Tournament 3. While Renegade X does require UT3 installed, you aren't necessarily playing UT3. So the bad language in UT3 is not transferred over into Renegade X... in fact no language is... other than radio commands. (There is no dialogue) So if you buy UT3 to play Renegade X now, you just have to worry about bad language. That is only, however, if you plan on playing UT3 in addition to playing Renegade X. If you plan to buy UT3 only to play Renegade X (like me and a whole bunch of other people), then you don't have to worry about language or gore (gore can be disabled). Renegade X does not have bad language and the gore can be turned off in the options. 2. Secondly: Renegade X Standalone. If you are willing to wait a couple months to play Renegade X, then you don't have to buy Unreal Tournament 3. In a few months Renegade X will be released stand alone, for free. You will no longer need Unreal Tournament to play it. Pretty soon the team will release Renegade X: Black Dawn, which is like a demo single player mission for the next version of the game. It will most likely have dialogue built into it. I cannot speak for them in saying it does or doesn't feature bad language however I can tell you that if it uses the same options as UT3, the gore can be disabled in the options. BOTTOM LINE: Unreal Tournament 3 has bad language and gore but the gore can be turned off. Renegade X does not have bad language but it has gore that can be turned off as well. If you want Renegade X now, then you need to buy and install UT3. But if you don't mind waiting a few months, then you will be able to just download Renegade X by itself. However, keep in mind, if you choose to buy UT3 and play Renegade X now, even though it has bad language in it, you don't have to play UT3 and hear the bad language in order to play Renegade X.
  7. You are going to have to wait a few more months to be able to play Renegade X without UT3. At the moment, you need UT3 to play but the mod will soon be released stand alone as its own indie game and therefore wont require UT3 to play. There are some peak hours that people play, but I don't know what they are off the top of my head. If you look on the top of the forum, there is a player counter that tells you how many people are playing.
  8. QUOTE (epicelite @ May 19 2010, 09:29 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Correction: Greatest multiplayer game ever made. The best game ever made is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
  9. I KNEW IT! (And by "knew it" I mean I was totally and completely wrong.)
  10. There is at least 14 more hours left before the day is expired. Something will happen. I have no doubt about that. Its importance is questionable though.
  11. When Renegade X converts to using the UDK, it will become it's own game. It will no longer be a mod of Unreal Tournament III. When standalone Renegade X releases, it will be it's own full-fledged indy game. You wont need to pay money, you wont need Unreal Tournament III. You just need a way to download the game and play it. No requirements (other than system requirements) are necessary. More people will play it because not only will there be a lot of stuff in it that makes it much more like Renegade than the previous build was, but because people will not have to go out and buy Unreal Tournament III in order to play Renegade X. They can just go online, download the game for free, and jump right in. The bottom line is Renegade X with the UDK is its own game, totally unrelated to Unreal Tournament III in every way except for the fact that it uses the same game engine.
  12. Does that little lock on the top corner have something to do with the poem in the first post? Two things: username & password? Or is that just restricted Dev-only access?
  13. QUOTE (Demigan @ May 8 2010, 10:06 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah, I'm pretty sure it always supported it in some way. I remember someone saying that it was supposed to. The person who got it right is probably the one who suggested the date.
  14. Well ok. At least now you've confirmed one thing: It has to do with the shade of black.
  15. QUOTE ((NE)Fobby(GEN) @ May 7 2010, 06:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well.... actually yes. To all 3. Red liquorish is a lot more common than black. At least from what I've seen. The night sky can be red if you live in a well-lighted area. Also, just around twilight. And, I don't think I need an image to point out that there are red ants...
  16. QUOTE ((NE)Fobby(GEN) @ May 4 2010, 05:45 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A verb? Noun? Period? Does it have something to do with a new game mode? QUOTE Does this mean Nod? Redish-back?
  17. It's possible to have two versions... since there is a physical copy of UT3 and a steam copy and they both let players play games together. If they can get a Steam version, it doesn't have to restrict everyone to using the Steam version. It's mainly to get it advertised to more people. I think it's a good idea.
  18. Things that pop into my mind (relative to what is said or not): -Cargo plane animation -Aircraft / dogfights -Cooperative missions -Dynamic day/night changing. -New weather effects (the plants are wet from rain) -New map with possibly extra elements (A-10 control? Extra vehicles?) -Airstrike beacon
  19. I was trying to be funny <_<
  20. QUOTE (Jointn00b @ Apr 29 2010, 05:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This man speaks the truth. By the way, when's the mod coming out?
  21. QUOTE (Demigan @ Apr 25 2010, 11:04 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah, it be a teaser. The difference between an update and a teaser is that an update gives you new information about what's happening where as a teaser gives you a baseless glimpse and gives you something to think about. With a teaser, you don't really know exactly what you're seeing. That's where the discussions about "what do you think that is?" come in.
  22. QUOTE (cirex @ Apr 19 2010, 11:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm pretty sure 'heaven' wouldn't uproot you from the game causing you to either suicide and lose your credits or having to leave the match and rejoin.
  23. I don't know why, but for some reason I've decided that I really like this guy. Congratulations on the best first post ever made on the internet.
  24. I'm pretty sure that was answered in the original post. As far as I know, it will have bots. Eventually.
  25. Oh man, I haven't played this mod in such a long time that I'm not even ranked on the server. T_T If I didn't have so much school work and regular work I'd play more often.
