1) Very crude one but I wouldn't recommend it for anything but basic geometry in a map, just use Blender, Maya, 3dMax, or perhaps even a model converter such as a person doing a RA2 crossover did with RA2 models. 2) Besides 1 other person doing a ra2 crossover, and various documentation on UDK on UE3. 3) Yes, you can package sounds into a UPK, and reference them in the units programming. Just get the original sounds in an individual file format. 4) Between a separate build of the game, and what mutators already do to change gameplay, yes. 5) Again, with RA2, but not Kane's Wrath.

Which in my opinion is a flawless victory. Good job devs. -
I mentioned my idea for sake of ease, as seats have weapon slots and multiple seats can use weapons but if same time obviously it would be jerky. Needs added to the seats first. Then, it is moderately more work to assign a special button to toggle it opposed to "weapon slots"

Think the detonation location is calculated server side and sent to the client. The mines are never far off their location though. Far enough to not be where the disarm hitbox is, still relatively same placement. You technically can disarm c4 if you feel around for where it really is located, but it is hard to have any idea if you are hitting it without sometimes 3 minutes of trial and error, not practical ingame unless you have some relative idea of where it is instead. Like if floating at a door, most likely what happened is it was thrown to the ground but the door was closing and caught the mine client side. Feeling around on the floor for the move with repair gun, usually in a straight line with the door since that is how they are thrown, you will notice you can find where you can disarm at. -

Proposed that few days ago. Bad news is, the devs won't do that as it stresses the client server stuff and creates possibilities in client side exploits. Good news, is next patch they may be throwing in a few more c4 location replicator checks to make quadruple sure the c4 is in the same place for everyone. Let's hope quadruple is sure enough. -
Try driving with a ping over 400 then tell me again just giving the gun to someone else on an APC is counter-productive. If you have time, make the switch weapons controller. I took a look at vehicle seats, and it shouldn't be too hard to do. Even if it's entirely driver-control, like vehicles have "weapon slots" and you can choose "driver turret" and "passenger turret". Although it might seem cleaner to actually program a special swap button for it.

SMNC uses a square (diamond? Or possibly square that rotates into a diamond?) that appears atop the target, starts large and shrinks until it beeps when it locks on. You have the beep and lock on confirm, you just need the square shrink thing. Idk how you would probe how another game works for code as example, but SMNC is free to play. I am sure there is other resources to do it though.

Careful with Static Decals like tank tread mud marks. Those have been bugged in the past where people should turn them off in options menu or it rekts your framerate.

It would be a non-situation once a player orders a vehicle anyway. But really, I believe there is a way to script their deaths. I think it was in fact on the other thread.

I believe he meant the firewall of China... That was my first thought, but you know many countries have firewalls. Could be China, North Korea, Germany, or many others.

Well don't get me wrong, as a scumbag I will ALWAYS shoot the ground or throw c4 to kill myself at low health even mid-fight with someone, just to kill deny. I just wouldn't kill myself at spawn 100 times in a row for 50 seconds straight just to get credits for a sidearm or something...

I been lazy, but I will renew the info/countdown for this week. Bio was supposed to take over, let alone show up, but life happens and I know that, and anytime he comes back with an interest I would be glad to let him. Steam has no "version" of this game and no server for this game unfortunately. The standalone is currently the only version, they could only submit the game to Steam Greenlight if they got permission from EA (they are a non-profit fan-base development team unrelated to EA). EA won't get back to them with an answer when they try to contact them. So Steam has no version. I am also not clear which country firewall is blocking the server listing, can't be germany as they have a huge community, but you may be able to direct connect to servers by entering the IP shown in the launcher information, unless the server itself is also blocked, in which case I believe a steam version connecting to a server would also fail to connect as well. I am in collaboration with at least one of the 3 regularly populated community servers, as well as a collaborator to development and inter-community informant. That is where I credit my source of information from. Feel free to post if direct connect and entering an ip works or not, or if you need instructions on how to do that. If you are able to get the server list and not connect, it may be the game server and not the listing server, in which case you might be able to join a renx official server, or EKT instead of TMX or something.

Specs and screenshots help. Y'know. OS, CPU, RAM, GPU. Pics of launcher with the button you use to join, and the result if something pops up as it crashes or if it just disappears from your computer. But, preliminarily, if it just disappears in thin air when you attempt to connect to a server, it might just very well be firewall related often enough.

So basically, create a server in the top right corner of launcher. Then launch the game and connect to your own local ip , then have your other computer do the same. Technically, with a really good computer and dual monitor, you can have one person play with m+kb and one play with a USB device such as Xbox controller.

This game borrows stats and name from steam if you have it open, and doesn't if you don't, but can be played without steam. You also can't join friends via steam iirc. You need to manually join them ingame. It isn't that hard, join the same server in the list, and switch teams in-game till you are on same team.

Not true. EKT Marathon has been the most populated, but CT and TMX have both had whole days they have had a server populated. Again, I don't bias, but I can safely vouch, not for someone but as speculation, that Kenz3001 for instance cannot record matches as free and easy as he could in an AOW. I believe I seen him try on several occasions, and he has only once I seen had a lucky break on a match lasting a reasonable time. The rest he played and had to scrap. And while he cannot stay away from RenX, he likely goes days waiting for an AOW before he breaks down and settles begrudgingly on a Marathon. Now, honestly, rationally he could edit the match recording down to a "Highlights", cutting out uneventful stalemate combat, but if he has to cut out and hour or more of video, don't you think we should cut out an hour or more of gameplay itself? Because the player themself can't just edit out the middle area as they play that hour stalemate in real time.
