  1. Heck yes, I wonder if they would want to collaborate with you guys on anything...
  2. I would do just about anything the devs ask me....anything.
  3. Haha, sounds glorious. I love how the losing team can sometimes pull a win against stacked odds
  4. This is true. The developer has to take a share of the blame too. However, Valve makes an attempt to integrate the community in their works and occasionally shows us love. Whereas EA seems to prioritize their shareholders over the community.
  5. Ah yes, losing a mammy is never a good feeling. I only learned this recently (but im guessing its common practice), these cool kids c4 their vehicles before going out into the field. That way if an SBH tries to jack it- pop goes the weasel. Other than that I had a fun experience in Under... Myself and another chem warrior were able to spawn a cute little visceroid out of a gdi soldier. Life was good, we had a little chemical family. However, the same player didnt like that, so he came rushing out of his base in a Humvee. Squirt squirt squirt- within moments the visceroid, my chem buddy and I are chasing this poor sap through the field blasting him with our green goodness. Ahh gut times.
  6. Those are good points. I think it was kinda cool of EA to let Totem have the non profit rights in the first place. But like you said, they totally butchered (save for a few titles) the C&C franchise, and I hope they dont try to exploit renegade x in any way.
  7. What if Renegade X becomes really popular? I mean, it is already getting coverage and attention from major gaming sites. What if it makes such a splash, that it reignites EA's interest and they want to turn it into a profit? Im thinking hypothetically, of course, but I wonder how the devs would respond if EA wanted to become involved with the future production of the game.
  8. I like the idea of servers maintaining a ranking system. It shows loyalty to the people who run it and that way, Totem doesnt have to deal with it. Though, I dont know about JellyServers way of jeering new players who connect, haha
  9. It seems PCgamer has really taken an interest in Renegade X and that will bring a lot of good publicity. @Dev Team, does it make you kinda nervous that popular game magazines will probably review your work with some scrutiny? I personally feel anxious when I present something I make to my friends, I can't imagine what its like being under the lense of gaming press. Congratulations on the publicity nonetheless

I installed my version by other means, which made it impossible to log in to WOL. I made my serial purchase through Xwis.
  11. @anonymously I really like your attention to detail in forming your concern, it shows a genuine attachment to the game and a feeling we all share. I agree with the arty whoring aspect. Usually, with the circumstances you would have 3 or so hotties camping the WF terminal and GDI vehicles disintegrating as they step outside their base. The only tactical option would be to take the tunnels and hope your Havocs could harass the arties out of position. However, that was often met with the insane splash damage an arty salvo could do to the group of the havocs.

Hello, and welcome back! If you want to brush up on your Ren skills before launch there are still servers and people playing most of the day. However, westwood online is now managed by a different company and requires a $10 fee to register; that is if you are interested in online play. See you server-side.
  13. Looks fabulous! I know you guys are doing a good job by not rushing it out. Out of curiosity, will there be a Phase III testing period before release? Or are you folks confident that this is the last wave of testing needed?
  14. I know this forum has been kinda quiet, but for all those that check it- what are some of your favorite/funny moments of Renegade? 1. I thought it was hilarious how you could throw proximity mines on other players making them a walking "jihader". 2. Mammoth ghosting was the act of waiting behind a sieging mammoth tank as Stealth Black Hand. Your hope would be that the engineer would have to exit momentarily to repair the damage and give you a quick opportunity to commit grand theft mammoth. Its so glorious to steal that tank and run down its driver. 3. Engie rush. Crowd a bunch of engies in an APC or two and rush the enemy base. The funniest part is when one of the APCs pops and leaves a bunch of engies jumping for their lives to find cover. Just the memories make me smile. I appreciate the work you are all doing.
