  1. You need a legit key from Epic as far as I know since you have to be able to connect to the servers, but I don't really know how that kind of back-end stuff works.
  2. Yeah we've been thinking of ways to deal with things like team theft, or ways to prevent it in the first place. No final decisions yet though since it isn't on our list of priorities for beta release.
  3. That's actually a good question. I don't know the answer to it, but if I had to guess, they'll stack, and they'll all blow at the same time.
  4. Play Unreal. You need it for the mod anyways. It's somewhere in between Ren and Unreal.
  5. That's not a problem in Ren-X anyways. Unreal has had the ability to auto-download required maps and packages for years (at least since UT2K4). I think that this is definitely a case where it is up to server admins or moderators to enforce the policy, not something that should be an official feature. Like Killa said, if they really really want the ability to have the mod itself enforce it, they should write a mutator.

  8. Too bad only registered people can vote. I'd be interested to see how many other people have bought UT3 just for the mod.
  9. For the record I am entirely against this idea if you can hear it beyond 10 feet. This will be an INSANE advantage for GDI. Much moreso than hearing invisible footsteps. But hey, when I own the living crap out of your SBH rush because I heard you recloak after planting a timed C4 you can take solace in the fact that it was your idea.

  11. Oh.. my.. god... That was me yelling at the very end. I laughed so very hard when I heard that in there. You have no idea. As for the outline lag, yeah we're working on fixing that. It's some kind of player/server replication issue. (One of our most common bugs is replication issues. For example in early builds, you couldn't see enemies rotate their turrets.) Also we don't have stealthing working on the SBH yet which is why you haven't seen it.

  18. Awesome. Now if only there was source code in that... mmmm MechWarrior 5. Although that Living Legends mod for Crysis is still going to be awesome, bar none.
