Sure! The more the merrier! We just need UT3 to be out so we can mess with the editor now.
In any case, you can always make fan maps or freelance if you aren't an "official" team mapper.
I don't think there is any other way to get it. I'm pretty sure it is integrated pretty deeply into the game because it needs to be able to place any available asset (includes music and sounds).
And really if you can't get that stuff to install now, you really are going to need an upgrade/new computer.
The only real editor we can use currently ships with a game called RoboBlitz. And since that game was released a few months ago, the editor is and older version that still has bugs in it and is missing features. We're really waiting on the release of UT3 so we can get the better editor that's been updated.
For example, the Recon will be on a few maps (probably not any of the official maps even though I keep pushing for it on City ) same with the SSM. Most of any extra features will be on custom maps.
I voted "hell yes!"
Having enjoyed UT2004, I would get it anyways, but also of course I'm getting it for Ren07, but also because it will become part of my school curriculum for "next gen" design as well.

Looks awesome. The primary game mechanic is deformable terrain. I'm glad to see developers trying something new. Not too many games have had deformable terrain, and most of them only had it tacked on as an afterthought it would seem.
