  1. Also everything you just mentioned is a really low priority.
  2. He said favorite Renegade song, not favorite Renegade X song. Also Move It is the song that plays in the mission where you have to go through the town at night after the Dead 6 and your own transport helicopter are shot down.
  3. Gotta go with the theme song Command & Conquer.
  4. And now that I think about it I would also place a vehicle static mesh too because only a few fan maps are infantry-only.
  5. QUOTE (omega79 @ Jul 28 2008, 08:39 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Import a character static mesh to compare scale to. QUOTE (omega79 @ Jul 28 2008, 08:39 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Illegal for us to use any original Renegade models/textures/sounds/etc and more work than necessary.
  6. I believe these are the tutorials Havoc initially learned from.
  7. We remake everything from scratch with Unreal assets or custom assets using the Unreal map editor. Maps use a combination of terrain and polygonal "brushes" made in the editor, and static meshes made in an external program and imported into UED. (Although you can also make custom brush shapes and import those as well.) Although to answer your question yes it would be possible to import the Renegade map meshes into Unreal after a few filetype conversions. But we really have no need to do that. The staff has collectively played several thousand hours of Renegade. We know the ins and outs of the standard maps by heart.
  8. A: Yes Harvesters will function the same way as in Renegade. AI Harvester goes to and from the field/Refinery which gives you credits. Additionally as in some fan maps you will be able to purchase your own drivable Harvester to boost your team's income rate.

  10. See Tiberium Spore Tree.
  11. Does it just not work or are you presented with an error message (such as incorrect name/password)?
  12. We're gonna need big server. >_>
  13. Tiberium Genesis has had a rich history of base building and had a completely working system in their last version on I believe Operation Flashpoint. QUOTE

  15. Walls Flying is the only stock Renegade map where the Transport chopper is really useful. The enormous mesa in the middle blocks sniper fire so pilots aren't afraid to use it to ferry their own snipers to the top. But it is a useful aircraft if you've got enough cover and a good pilot. Especially if the map has a good design. Oh and FYI, it's more likely a CH-46 Sea Knight, not a CH-47 Chinook. Yeah it was a Chinook in Tiberian Dawn, but we all know what happened to all the TD stuff in Renegade.
  16. In the future we may have a need for 2d graphics, although we don't need any at the moment. We also aren't in need of texture artists but thanks for the offer.
  17. Good point. One of them will have to be moved to a new default key. (Although you should be able to customize they keys for everything anyways.)
  18. FAQ has now been updated. To answer your question, we'd use Unreal's voice menu system. Hit the V key and you have options for order, taunts, etc, and then to keep 1 person from ordering all the bots around, I imagine that we'd have it so you have to be aiming in the general direction of the bot to order it around the first time, then it would be "attached" to you and you wouldn't have to face it to give orders. It would run off if you were idle for a certain amount of time. That is, that's how I imagine we'd do it, we haven't gotten around to customizing the AI yet. That comes later.
  19. Okay then, we'll do it if our coders can whip it up, don't derail the FAQ thread. (Which needs its first post updated.)
  20. Command & Crysis appears to have gone the way of the dinosaurs. R.I.P. Command & Crysis: The Dead Six
  21. I've never heard of this supposed alternate fire before. And our obelisk is correct. The entrance is in the rear, not the front.
  22. Translation: Fobby doesn't know how to use free aim.
  23. Hey you're right. There's no horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the window (FF 2.0). I didn't even notice because I always use the tilt wheel on my mouse for horizontal scrolling (and my resolution is 1920*1200 so I don't need to scroll horizontally often). I rarely actually use the horizontal scroll bar. There's no scroll bar in the post reply page either.
  24. It's about 20 seconds between flags if you take the shortest path, longer if you take a different one.
