  5. So you were trying to say the beams should link up where the second person should power up the first person, and only the first person should control the output beam? (like in UT04) (Which would still only be the sum total of the two beams together, aka double, so you might as well just let the two players control their beams independently, which we're doing anyways.) As for the "lock on" we would probably indeed use the same beam bending mechanic as the Link Gun except limit the possible angle of bend much more than in UT and have it only work on infantry models.

  8. You didn't tell us what brand or model the mouse is. We need that info first. In any case though, the mouse's software should have a little application where you can map keys to buttons. For me, my Logitech G5 has keys mapped in SetPoint. SetPoint also controls, among other things, whether I have 3 or 5 DPI settings to choose from.

[/b] We've been planning on doing the names the way they were in Renegade. Technically there could be ammo clips for each gun although we hadn't planned that.
  10. We're not going to start the attack animation until after the 30 second timer is over so nothing disappears. So once the countdown reaches 0, that's the point of no return and then the animation plays. So technically you have like 35 seconds to run away, 30 to disarm.
  11. I like Flak Monkey better. I was disappointed when I was playing in UT3 and heard the announcer say Flak Master instead of Monkey the first time I heard it.
  12. Sssshhhh. I don't want to stretch myself too thin. I'm already on like 6 projects (although TD is included in that 6).
  13. Now with updated textures and normals and specs! Also shiny YouTube video turnaround! Although the compression is still kinda sucky even on HQ mode.
  14. I've been working on some new Tiberium to replace the Tiberium in C&C3. Whatcha think? No normal or specular maps yet except on the ground. Alpha planes/textures didn't render correctly with mentalray, causing the slight square shadow of the polygon. Renders kind of mess it up though. Looks better in the viewport. We'll see how it translates to in-game. Pod sans crystals:

  19. Hmm it looks like you're good with layouts and also remakes. You think you're pretty good at outdoor environments? Ours are almost exclusively outdoors.
  20. I really hate the Remix of Act on Instinct in Renegade. The original from C&C95 is superior.
  21. They've never done it before. They're probably not going to start now. The other stuff from GoW2 didn't get patched into UT3, don't hold your breath.

  23. So I was Googling for some reference images of Tiberium and I ran across this Deathmatch map for UT3. Surprised I hadn't heard of it before. http://utforums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=601619 I tried it out and I must say that I like it. It is pretty fun, it has great atmosphere, has a great flow, plenty of open space and closed space, good weapon/health/powerup placements, and of course it doesn't hurt that it's based on Tiberium canon/lore and has "What Lurks" from Tiberian Sun playing as the map music.

    I've got Core Patch 2 and RenGuard. Lord I really hate RG. It crashes way too much, always costing me my character, and sometimes giving a tank to the enemy.
  25. No, we don't have a franchise, EA has a franchise. It's called Command & Conquer. We have no legal grounds for selling this mod. EALA is very aware of us already. Then there's the other half. This is a mod for an Epic game. The legal ramifications of what would need to be done to get both parties to agree are mind boggling. This has been asked before. The mod will not go stand-alone, and we're not charging for it.
