  1. Veterancy is something I would absolutely enjoy in this one. It's a feature I really hope they add. I think they could have things like slightly better health, faster weapon, faster sprint or more stamina. With a stealth tank you could have quicker stealth ability or a better weapon, with the Ftank, you could have a purifying flame etc. I think it would add a great deal to the game. For a great example of this, take a look at Tiberian Sun Reborns new veterancy system below.
  2. I have experienced similar. Most of the time when an explosion occurs due to a successful Nuke beacon, I crash. On smaller explosions for example a vehicle blowing up I usually get a very long freeze.
  3. I tend to go for Ftank rush to take the AGT down and then encourage the team to use Stanks. Most will only think of using Ftanks for both.
  4. That was great, fun and hectic footage with funny commentary. I enjoyed watching this.
  5. On some days, 90% of the time I try to join any server I crash before Ive got into the game. Explosions cause either freezes for about 1-2 minutes or complete crashes. Ive been in games where the Nuke beacon explosion has causes almost every single person to crash and some of them never came back. Things like this can really damage the potential of this game. In the first release, most crashes were only on Map changes and rarely at any other time.
  6. I have seen similar in the crash logs and believe this is what caused the increased crashing for me after the Beta 2 update.
  7. Rushing the GDI base with Stanks. In my opinion, much like Mammys, I think everyone over uses Flame Tanks and I'm sure that's what the opposition expects. The last thing GDI expected was to be rushed with a bunch of Stanks. It seems many of the GDI team didn't notice us as we crept towards their base and we caught them off guard. My other favourite moments has to be stealing enemy tanks. There is nothing better than waiting for someone to jump out to repair and then making off with their Mammy, Med Tank or MRLS, such a rush and it has comedic value as well. Seeing the enemy standing there without their vehicle and knowing that the other team members will get annoyed at losing a powerful Mammy. Vehicle stealing is the best!
  8. This is definitely one to watch out for. I stole 2 APC's, 1 Mammy and a Medium tank in one game. I stole some as normal infantry as well but mostly I do that as an SBH. Sometimes my stolen tank is destroyed before I get away though. I don't think people can resist getting out to repair and I'm glad lol. Stealing Tanks is one of my favourite pastimes but I will steal anything if you leave the vehicle for even 1 second. I stole a stealth tank by parachuting from atop walls flying as a gdi marksman. Don't get out your vehicle unless your nod AND have plateau control. I was in a game yesterday when I saw something like that happen but I think they parachuted from an Orca that had been shot down, landed on a Stank that was being repaired and stole it. It got destroyed though.

  10. I took out two Mammys with a Stank and find they are very useful if used correctly. The other night, I did several Hit and Runs and destroyed Mammys but if there are several rushing the base then artillery, lametroopers, rocket soldiers, C4 and Mobious are useful. However, if you are low on credits then you might be screwed. You can also steal them if they have poor engineer support as you know. I stole a Mammy and a Medium tank in my last match but that was because they jumped out to repair.
  11. I was in that game! I'm the one who said, "That was well executed, I tip my hat to you Nod" My game froze up and crashed during the beacon, so I'm not sure what happened next, but I'm sure Nod won the match. Mine crashed as well, I remember you saying that! I think it must have been the Nod beacon explosion. After the successful rush, I noticed that more people were choosing Stanks in general, even in later games and on the next map. They are my favourite vehicle but they can be a bit cumbersome to control at times or maybe I just need more practice. I bet a Stank rush was the last thing you guys expected lol. It's almost always flame tanks which can obviously be easily seen, very slow and easy to target.
  12. Guys, I was just playing as Nod Vs GDI about 14 Vs 14 and I suggested a Stank rush. We had about 10 Stanks and took out the GDI Ref. The enemy team said ''That's the first successful Stank rush ive ever seen on Renegade X'' lol. It really made a nice change to the Flame Tank Rushes and things were so busy on the battlefield that we snuck by many medium Tanks and MRLS on the way, resisting any attacks until absolutely necessary. I had someone else Take Point since someone else knew better as to what GDI had left as a target. The second rush was a mix of Stanks, Flame Tanks, an APC and an Apache. While we distracted GDI with the Stanks, someone placed a beacon. We used the Stanks to run over engineers and to harrass anything in sight. By the time I was dead, it was too late for GDI. Do not underestimate Stanks, they cause paranoia and can easily take on MRLS and a poorly defended Mammy at close range.
  13. I thought Stanks were useless until I spent a bit more time using one last night. I harassed MRLS, destroyed a few, stealthed, repaired and did a few hit and runs on medium tanks. I even took on a Mammy for a while before retreating. I also used it to run over the engineers repairing vehicles. I have a new found respect for Stanks now but I think they could benefit from being a little faster and with a bit more fire power. They are now one of my favourites. Edit: I almost took out a Mammy with a Stank. I circled it point blank and it couldn't do anything. I ran over the engineers as I did this but they managed to get me lol.
  14. Just press E when near it to get in, press 1 to enter driver spot and steal it. You have a higher priority over bots so they will give you the vehicle. Thanks, I wish id known that last night. I hopped out of my stolen Mammy to change to the Engineer class when a Bot stole it driving it into the GDI base. So one Mammy driven by a bot against an entire base, it was such a waste.
  15. How do you get bots to leave vehicles? I stole a mammy, a bot stole it but I couldn't get them to leave.
  16. As mentioned in a previous post, I was also crashing a lot but after a reinstall, it hasn't happened again, not even once. Edit: Looks like I spoke too soon, crashes are very frequent again.
  17. Ive noticed crashes occurring right before major explosions, for example base beacon.
  18. It would probably ask for a reboot if you didn't already have Net installed.
  19. With Beta 1, I only used to get crashes on map change but now, I get random crashes mid game and just before entering the map. Once I am in game, it runs a lot smoother and feels much more polished though.
  20. Please give Mammoth Tanks extra armour that self heals with repair bots and the range of MRLS. Thanks Devs.Oh I almost forgot to mention the increased speed so they are faster than Nod Light tanks.
  21. Why would you want it on a console? What are the benefits? Why do you think it would do better on a console?
  22. It could just fall to the ground and not go nuclear, killing any nearby players but sparing the building. But what's always struck me as weird about beacons is that IRL if a soldier encountered of these beacons next to a building, why not just pick it up and MOVE it? lol The beacons are very high tech. Once you place one on a surface, it sprouts 'roots' made out of a type of titanium tiberium infused material. These roots embed deep beneath the core of the surface making it impossible to remove in time.
  23. When on the receiving end, I hate that too but I wouldn't change it for the world. I think there has to be a point of no return otherwise what's the point? Also, that creates a lot of panic and action because people know they have to disarm it before that point of no return.
  24. If one of the team members had placed a few mines at the foot of the stairs and other points further up, that SBH would have been out of luck unless there was a whole bunch of them. Either way, your team members would have been alerted at any of the mines exploding. If the guy got on to the roof by using an aircraft then then that's also a matter of defense whether rocket soldiers, snipers or anti air vehicles etc. I don't think they should do away with nukes on roofs but they should fix the impossible to get to nuke placements. I think Nukes on roofs create excitement in game as all of the engineers make a scramble and a battle ensues between any nuke guards and infantry etc. With regards to my comment about mines, I was hanging out in a GDI base as an SBH and I saw another team member come in. He checked every single entrance to see if any where not mined but each door way including the stairs had mines. He had no choice but to try to find another way. Those mines are really effective. Where were your mines?
  25. I have had quite some luck and been in random teams that had some idea about tactics. I was never a multiplayer of the old Renegade but I was aware of basic tactics from playing Tiberian Sun. The other day while playing as Nod, one of the team members asked everyone to fall back to base and to order a Flame Tank rush against the GDI barracks. There must have been about 10 flame tanks and we took down the barracks along with lots of other enemies. I have been in teams where about 5 SBH including myself were all armed with nukes rushed the base. Yesterday I was involved in a very early rush on the GDI barracks with engineers and infantry. I was one of the engineers and placed C4 on the MCP. I don't think the team was used to the game yet because some time later, I was able to steal their aircraft. I have of course been on teams where no one had laid any mines by the time I had arrived and no repairs were being done. When I first started playing this one, I would go out alone as SBH and create havoc but then I quickly realised nothing was more fun and effective than team work. The only multiplayer games Ive ever played apart from Renegade X is Tiberian Sun Reborn and even that was only a few months ago.
