  1. Maybe Airdrops, if possible could have vehicles that were weaker, less powerful or would arrive in need of repair from an engineer. Maybe Airdropped vehicles are from a backup storage facility where you had no access to your usual ones. Perhaps this could be extended to the HON / Bar as well. The higher tier indfantry stil avaliable to you when those buildings die have less on the stats or have disadvantages. Of course I have no idea if any of that would be possible or if it were, how much work would be involved. Imagine losing the Hon/bar or Strip/WF and only having access to infantry that were more vulnerable and vehicles that would always be slightly outmatched by the ones the opposing team had. Of course you wouldn't want to make them so weak they were not useful but just imagine the Mammy they got no longer had regen or simply had less hit points than the usual Mammy. Food for thought.
  2. Bored of Renegade X? are you kidding me? Hell NO! I play this almost every day and enjoy every single minute of it once there is enough players. This is my favourite game and I play it more than any other title I own. Maybe some of you are simply playing it too much.

Engineers potentially are even better after the update because it is easier to see who needs repair due to the big arrow or indication that stays up a while after the call for assistance is made. However, the first type of infantry I target are always engineers and I will even die taking as many out as possible. I'm surprised at the number of times Ive seen infantry targetting tanks without specifically targetting the engineers repairing them.
  4. Health pack? armour regen? Hell NO. Yet again I see more handholding suggestions. There are random health crates already and thats enough. The lack of health packs or armour regen is why I think twice about what I do on the battlefield, especially as sbh. I have to make calculated decisions and weigh up my options, all of this would mean nothing if I could have health / armour regen. Now a bit of increased health through a vetarin system or something might be a consideration but even that leaves me with doubts. You can already get engineers to heal you too.
  5. I destroyed a Med Tank with a Techs Heavy Pistal while using the environment as cover but that was in Beta 3. I don't know if I could do the same in beta 4. It was pretty funny though, he didn't have any engineer backup of course.
  6. Isn't that the point of the different factions though? The chemtrooper only being avaliable to Nod and having the benefit of no Tiberian Damage.
  7. 1) Make Stealth Tank more powerful vs vehicles and more useful against infantry. 2) Give Nod better Anti air. 3) Make higher level vehicles cost more in Airdrops (rather than removing them as some suggested). 4) Reduce passive credits income. 5) Increase Light Tank speed.
  8. You can counter snipers on the ledge with Marksmen if you are adapt at timing your evading and can think like a sniper. I actually had a sniper ask me to leave him alone lol. With the tunnells, when ever they have been taken over by snipers I simply get together a minimum of 5 shot gunners and go on a killing spree. How I deal with snipers on other maps when I am Nod is to creep around placing C4 on their back. Some of them simply run away when they hear the countdown and don't waste time fighting back. I think it is not so much the design of the map that is the problem but the lack of team work. If a team got together, planned and rushed half of the issues you described would not exist. I remember hearing how people thought Nod was weak and there were more GDI maps but I played on some Nod sides where there was team work and we obliterated GDI on almost all maps, especially all of the ones labelled as GDI maps. I used to think some maps were more GDI or Nod favoured but in most cases, the larger and / or improved maps simply highlights more the deficiencies in team play.

  10. That sounds more like team hampering to me. Anyone with even a minimum game expereince knows the value of having an enemies vehicle. That feature request is yet again more hand holding and stuff that is not needed if you have even basic observation skills.
  11. I noticed that last night when I was up against one with an Officer. I was keeping a distance and the shotgunner was still able to connect with way too many hp's. None of this surprises me because the game has so many different classes interacting with lots of changes and tweaks in Beta 4.
  12. That's just funny as hell in my opinion Ive taken that a step further. I was a GDI techie and while I was planting C4 on a buildings MCT, I also threw a few mines at the door to kill, damage or slow down anyone entering. As I was leaving the base after the building blew, I got chased by a higher level character that I could not match, so I ran into the destroyed building and they straight ran into the mines I had placed and died. It was hilarious but it would have been easy to panic and not remember placing those. What a rush.
  13. I disagree, that sounds like hand holding to me. Ive been killed by enemy mines in my own base and it served me right for not double checking. I think some of the things people are complaining about simply require more observation skills. I tend to slow down at some points during a sprint to check for mines and I also check for enemy ones in friendly areas.
  14. Surely the whole point of mines is that they aren't too easy to see. I tend to place mines in hard to see areas, grass or behind areas that sprinting infantry will not notice so easily.
  15. I don't know if they improved Marksmen but I find them more useful in this update. Ive found that after playing as a sniper, you can be more effective against them as other classes. As a Marksman, you can time your movement and shots to be much harder to hit. I was a lone Marksman in Walls and 3 snipers were targeting me and they missed many times before they got me. Ive seen snipers miss 5 times after I timed my dodges. You have to resist the urge to randomly bounce around and use pauses that leave you open to attack, timing and intuition, the impatient sniper will waste shots and the good ones will still miss a lot more. Marksmen are great!
  16. Overall the map redesigns were really great, but those things clearly are... something that is very hate inducing. Something that makes you want to camp is never a good thing, since campers are nearly worthless to the team. But people probably know by now that I hate snipers, period. After playing a few more Field games, Ive found that more players, including myself used the ledges as defense against incoming Mammys or vehicles. I ran up the ledge as an engineer armed with a heavy pistol, emp grenade and C4. I'd toss an emp, jump of the ledge, land on the roof of a tank, plant C4 and use my heavy pistol. I didn't use the ledges for sniping much (the novelty wore off) and I am a huge fan of that class. Another great tactic is to be sbh and kill repairing engineers from the ledge using a carbine.
  17. The first change I noticed in Field was the option of being able to climb to the higher ledges and immediately I made my way up their as a GDI sniper. It wasn't long before I was joined by 2 other Deadeyes and a Havoc. After a while people on the opposing team said they thought the ''sniper ledges'' were the worst addition to Field, others complained that they could no longer live long enough to repair vehicles (assuming their vehicles were not shot to pieces) and a few said they thought it was over powered and that it should not have been implemented in the first place. Being the sniper is one of my favourite classes but I can see why people would hate the ledges but what do all of you think? Do you think the new ledges are the worst idea and a game breaking one at that? Tanks can do some damage to snipers on that ledge, I'm sure sbh can creep up and place C4's or maybe get a few Airstrikes in. Do you think the ledges are the worse idea yet? I haven't played enough games to know yet.

    I never pull back, its rush or die. I go in and there is no turning back, no retreat and no surrender. Quite a lot of the time I find myself blocked by hesitant tanks moving forward like a kid testing water at his first swim without his parents.
  19. Agreed, Beta 4 is great and this game is still the one I play the most and I own hundreds of commercial titles.

Xeon E5-2687W * 2 (3.1GHz, 16 cores, 32 threads) 256GB DDR3-1866 GTX Titan * 4 in SLi Game installs on Samsung 840 Pro 256GB * 4 @ RAID 0 on LSI MegaRAID 9271-8i I tried disable or enable Vsync in Beta 4, the performance is the same. Basically, there should be no bottleneck... In all previous versions, everything runs at 60 FPS, the only problem is that when I start to control a character, the FPS will drop to below 30 in Beta 4. That is very strange. You should test out running in single GPU mode to see if it has the same problem as SLI. Strange it was ok in beta 3 though.
  21. I just tested a round online and I was getting a constant 60 fps on Ultra at 1920 x 1080 on a nearly full server. You should bear in mind that although they improved performance, they also improved the quality of the graphics as well. What are your specs? Did you disable Vsync?
  22. It was Renegade X GDI Victory! I didn't realise one team heard a different tune. I searched on your music area after ruling out the above tunes. Thanks so much for your help finding this. That tune is great and every time I heard it I tried to find it. That game has so much great music, it will be great when it is officially during gameplay too.
  23. It's not that one either but someone in game said it is a different version of that. You may have heard it after a match has ended and you get the scrolling graphics and see the destroyed bases etc. It sounds more like this Kingdom Hearts track
  24. Thanks for the response. It's not that one but it is similar. The one I'm trying to find seems to be a faster version of it I think.
  25. Hi, Does anyone know where I can download the version of Tension Rising that is played in the new beta 3 end game screen just before voting next map?
