That's already how it is. You can either have one or the other. Not both. I disagree with this because only 2 maps have SAM sites yet you can use airstrikes on every map. It would be inconsistent and confusing to players switching between maps. well add it on every map. I disagree with this as well. You aren't radioing an airstrike, you're designating one. You don't need to connect with satcomm to use a laser pointer. this is not true. you still need to communicate with satcomm, even with laser designation, as there are not constantly C-130's and A-10's in the air, and there isn't a huge tower in the middle of every map with an officer being able to spot a lazer. you need a connection because your binoculars can't shoot missiles, neither does a lazer do anything if a pilot doesn't know it's there.... and he doesn't know because he can't recieve any co-ordinates if you're in a tunnel. it would only make sense if he already was in the air, looking at the lazer.

i've played a 30 vs 30 Field in jelly, and i must say it is ridicilously easy to get inside the field when the enemy has the field, if not even easier. i've sprinted to the waterfall and jumped countless times, re-took the silo like 5 times, c4'ing a helluva lot of arts, and stealing 2 stealth tanks in the process. this actually managed to take me to #5 after the game ended by time limit expiry. you're basically invisible to vehicles if you're not directly facing them, and there's not enough infantry to spot you. even if an SBH spotted me, i usually was able to kill it with my Carbine or Tiberium Flechette Rifle. i must say, the Carbine is incredibly useful for 'spec-ops' situations, it fast bullet travel and the non-glowing bullets makes it an incredibly useful tool to SBH's and sneakers, yet balanced enough to be not OP. great job on that weapon, seriously.

once vehicle physics get fixed matches like Islands will get MUCH easier. driving a vehicle is too chaotic at this moment...

the reason i added #1 is to prevent the usage of an airstrike near a beacon while defending that beacon, when all SAM-sites are down. there's not much reason to carry both at the same time, you're risking so much cash at one time, so you really must be planning something big if you decide to do that. we're talking about 2000+ credits at one go here.

Hourglass is already remade. it's called Whiteout. haven't played it yet? Under and Complex are still a WIP. and the developers seemed to have huge trouble making City in the past, so i guess they will let the fans work on that one, i don't know

oh, i've seen this one coming from so far away, lol... anyhow, i've come up with 3 basic rules to prevent the usage of airstrikes in overpowered situations: 1. You may not carry a Beacon and Airstrike at the same time; 2. Enemy airstrikes may not be launched in the enemy base when SAM sites are still online, they should destroy all attacking A-10's or C130's within seconds; 3. airstrikes may not be allowed to be called in while still in a tunnel (buildings are fine), "you're simply not able to get a connection going with Satcomm while in a closed environment." any suggestions? do you hate the idea? love it? don't care? give it your best shot!

why not just increase the base spread with free-aim the further away you aim from the middle of the screen... like free-aim is only good for sniping, jeez... lol

Hate, so far you've told us that you only play competitive in AOW. I can see why, but can you clarify this for me? Do you just don't care about competitive Marathon matches, or aren't there any, etc... -

well, not entirely. taking into account you need a lot of cash to mass a decent amount of tanks, the match must have been going on for at leat 30 minutes. and the bigger the room, the more vehicles you will need to successfully rush, which means more money is needed. only in small matches, AOW and Marathon could be considered the same when it comes to massing. -
I think the flame tank is powerful enough already as it is. It already got a speed, range and huge damage buff Vs. Vehicles compared to tiberian dawn. And there it already was a badass vehicle as it would rip entire buildings apart in a matter of seconds (not anymore off course). If you're using a flame tank to destroy vehicles on the field or something... You're simply doing it wrong.

I have no idea if you're joking or not (i really don't, no sarcasm intended), but i always find it funny when someone says points don't matter in marathon. If you even slightly think about it, you know points = credits, and if you're playing a marathon game where both teams have no ref and/or pp, guess which team has a higher chance of winning... More examples can be given but i think you get my point on this one. -
Sorry, but even I don't know the answer to that. All we know that it's coming feb 26th. I think it will be less last-minute then Black Dawn though, so i think you won't have to wait until the evening.

I've never liked a time limit in Renegade. I loved how some matches of under took over a quarter day to finish and how half of them would rage about how stupid marathon is instead of joining a diffrent server. It really seperated the men from the boys, to say it that way. -
Nice tutorial! Now all you have to do is embed it into the game for all the newcomers to watch!

Only thing i'm concerned about is the amount of walking paths in RenX's maps. I've seen an AGT Vs Ob in Field once... Absolutely no idea how that happened... If you can't sneak in, both teams are hopeless in such stalemate situations. -

Stealth Tank has longer range now? what about the damage?

It has a longer range, not sure about damage though. It's unusally slow speed compared to Tiberian Dawn and C&C Renegade feels a bit odd, but balances the vehicle where it's needed, because it's an excellent Hit 'n' Run vehicle. -

I started playing renegade when i was like 6 years old. Since then, i've bought the game 3 times because the original CD always shattered into pieces or my father formatted the PC and i lost the serial key. My parents never bought any games for me, so i usually played obscure games which happened to be on sale for like 2 bucks, or whatever was still at home. This made me appreciate any kind of game, and started to think more about the effort that actually went behind the making of these games. Once i realised how utorrent worked (well yeah, i'm not too proud of it ), the PC got so old it wouldn't even install the newer games out there. This made me play even more retro games, like System shock, Streets of Sim City, Chrono Trigger (i had a LOT of emulators), Thief, Ultima, Lands of Lore, Quake, Doom, Contra, The Guardian Legend, Shogo M.A.D, you name it. So yeah, gotta appreciate those hidden gems nobody knows about. But i'm sure Renegade X will get the fame it deserves.
