don't forget the colour of their name in the scoreboard should change as well. and they should be buyable aswell. best feature EVER.

but what if the one that you muted for talking too loud decided to plan a rush and ONLY tell people about it through VOIP? that makes for a broken feature. teamplay is too important in this game for VOIP to work. or you mute nobody and get annoyed by screaming kids, or you don't get annoyed but you're not able to TP because you're missing out.

I would like to have the reticle turn green/gray if you are pointing on an enemy spy, not red. Otherwise you can still identify enemy spies from a long distance.

Meh, i wouldn't really like VOIP in a game like renegade. The radio commands and the Q button already are a useful replacement which actually works. You only have to remember some button combinations. What i think would happen at best is hear some annoying kids talking about their amazing daily life and you missing every EVA announcement because all the voices are too loud. Then you put down the volume too soft in order to keep hearing EVA properly, but then VOIP gets useless and everyone forgets to actually put anything in the chat not knowing they're being muted by 50% of the players.

i haven't had a single game so far where tech buildings gave me the impression that it only gave the winning team an advantage. they're much easier to capture then people are suggesting. same thing for Field, really. let's put up an example of what happened to me once in Field. I was on GDI, we lost our refinery and Nod had control of the field. we were able to prevent the enemy team from whoring our buildings, but we still remained poor. that's when i decided to earn some money for my team and capture the Silo. i sprint into the tunnel to the waterfall and jumped down, leaving the enemy with no idea what just happened. i've done until i had enough cash for an Ion Cannon beacon. in the meanwhile i c4'd some vehicles, sticked a remote to a sakura oblivious to my presence and stole a Stealth Tank. Once i had 1000 credits, i decided to go on a crate hunt, basically doing the same thing but this time actually looking for a spy crate until i got one, and destroyed the Airstrip with it. the time limit expired a few minutes later. I never would have been able to do this in the original game. but i actually like this about Renegade X. It rewards good timing better then the original and allows for more strategies to come up with. Tech buildings like the silo's is a good addition to a strategical game like this.

Lol, don't get me started on 'oldschool' gaming... But yeah, the point of a remake is to improve the old game on multiple aspects, with graphics being a big one. Give 'mainstream gamers' a game as Another World, they simply don't even give it a chance because of the immense difficulty and outdated graphics. If you do make them play it for a while, they get blown away by the amazing gameplay and storyline. It's like teachers teaching multiple languages at your local high school. They are the best of the best, but a dying breed. It's kind of sad to watch, but you can't do much about it... -

You might have missed it, but there already is a function to check the amount of mines placed by your team. It's placed at the bottom middle of your HUD. Or are you saying you can't see who's actually is planting mines? -
None of those were in the original, those were just modded in. I know that... Also, someone else beat you to it, really. Try to read the topic next time...

So far, the gunner does the same amount of damage against vehicles and buildings as the original, and even has a increased splash damage. I've seen people saying that the reload time of the gunner is really long, but that doesn't make sense either. It hasn't even changed from the original. The gunner HAS been given a slight buff. The rocket soldier instead has been given a much faster projectile speed, homing missiles and much more burst damage, and that just for a price of 225 credits. The rocket soldier is the one OP for it's current price. The gunner isn't.

I would assume so. They are also updating certain graphics settings that were causing issues so I would assume it would be best to start fresh. yep. but it doesn't really have to do with the graphics settings, though.

Idk... I guess it could be fun, an additional tunnel leading to the Nod and GDI bunker... Only issue is, it makes field infiltration by foot even easier then it is already. It really isn't hard to get in the field without dying with a free character, quickly retake control of the silo and then C4 a vehicle. -
This would make explosive weapons *quite* effective against infantry. It's simply overpowered.

Infinite infantry ammo would be a really bad idea, you already have enough ammo to hold out quite a while in the field. Having infinite ammo would only promote camping (especially with the sniper) for the offending team. Adding infinite infantry ammo would only cause a bias towards the winning team, which makes it even harder to liberate the field/tunnels from enemy presence if you're on the defending team. About limited ammo on repair guns... I like the idea (i posted a suggestion about this a VERY long time ago), but give it a BIG ammo count, like 2 magazines of 999 ammo.

The Refinery will give you 2 credits per second at any given time it still runs. The harvester basically does nothing economy-wise until it parks at you refinery, granting your team an additional 300 credits for your entire team for having you put through the effort to keep it alive. If the Airstrip/Weapons Factory gets destroyed, there's only 1 final chance to keep recieving your bonus of 300 credits every time your harvester makes it back to their base. If it dies, that bonus is permanently lost, severely crippling your income. but you still recieve your 2 credits per second as usual, as long as the refinery stays online.

The economic effect of the loss of the PP has already been decreased, as it used to give you only 1 credit per second, and now you still get 2 credits per second. The addition of silo's already fixed the issue you mentioned, you just need to be sneaky enough to get there unnoticed. Even if you die before you've taken control of the silo, you already have earned at least 50 credits for repairing it.

Most of the time it's because people don't even think about joining an empty server and waiting a few minutes before it gets filled. Nobody wants to be the first one, and keep waiting all the time, though.
