you sure the launcher / udk.exe isnt being blocked by your firewall? that seems to be a common theme with people. Do you see the listings using the multiplayer option from the ingame menu?

Most of my guys are waiting for the new patch to fix various bugs. No new maps was the downfall of the original renegade. Hopefully the player base will pick up after the new patch. Also do take into account that its summer time for most of europe so i have been doing the whole "life" thing so i assume lots of others have as well! some of the bugs are game breaking. im not on about the stupid ones that dont matter. Ive not mentioned once this floating arm bug as it doesnt bother me in the least.... Double tap F or hit reload and your good.

Once we have a proper download system for custom maps inbuilt to the game. I will be happy to host loads of custom maps on the EKT server. But when i tried to join with coastal or something my game just went >.< so i got bored n gave up.

False, C4 Bug. Floating Bug, Client crashes Goldrush mainly, Floating C4, Vech drops dont work if you join after strip/wf down. I could go on. Once the issues have been fixed with this next patch then its time to get advertising and promoting. Goks

What we need is our members to advertise. Add renx to their sigs on their fav forums. Post videos on youtube etc etc, Ive been posting info about the game on Gaming forums recently But i cant recommend this game to my friends until the major bugs have been fixed. Last time i recomended the game to people was beta2 and that didnt go well. But dont get me wrong i love the game. Wouldnt be hosting a server and doing my best as a CDev / Mod around here otherwise. Im positive for the new patch and hopefully will bring people back.

Quad core 2.8ghz or better udk server uses around 1.5gb of ram and when full around 2-3gb. So a server with 16gb of ram would be plenty. (I found lower clock speeds caused the vech lag on my dedi back when it was an issue in beta1 hence why i suggest 2.8 ghz or higher) HDD speed doesnt really matter as the main loading is only done on map change. Pretty sure others would have different opinion but what do I know lol! Hope this helps. Goks

lol my bad. Could probably trick the bots into thinking the beacons need repairing? Bots will sometimes repair buildings / vechs when they feel like it? Would be cool if the bots could be made a bit smarter.

From what I know AI hasnt changed in the game since the start. Before the bots could just drive over the other tanks and not get stuck. If you know someone who is epic at AI coding for this engine maybe get them to contact the devs? Goks

You get temp modded now and again on my server, why dont you apply for mod we have been advertising for ages but no one seems interested lol.

Agreed^ for APCs humvee/buggy of both side are a pain to drive

Try camping it yourself with infantry instead of a tank, and seeing how easy it is. Just crouch behind the box/concrete divider, literally for 40 minutes straight, and every time a hotwire/tech/sbh walks down the bridge and you end up on top of them, ambush them with tossed c4 and a carbine. The trick is to not let it make you miserable. The trick is to let it make them miserable instead. Turn the tables, if you will. Im quite happy to camp with a tech or hotwire, someone has to do it unless you think we should just let you get the hon/bar/pp ??

If there is no mods ingame try !modRequest reason (alot of people just do !modrequest and leave the reason out so we have to guess whats going on) - if your on the EKT server and there is no mods at all around the time your playing please feel free to apply for mod status we are recruiting atm. You could try and run udk.exe with this param udk -fps=24 but i've read that the free version udk ignore that? Plus ive never tested it myself lol (note i'd make a bat file in the game dir with udk.exe and paste in udk -fps=24 and run the bat file n see if it makes any diff) Hope this helps. Goks Edit: also try F5 Stats FPS in game so you can see your true fps. Maybe there is a FPS option in the console? Just a thought.

Or some people get pissed off with the constant vote spam cause one building has died and just give up voting, thats why voting was disabled for a time on my server hoping they would learn their lesson but they havent and the vote spam continues.
