  1. I didn't get the error when replying to the FAQ sticky, but I did when I posted this (which originally said "If you've changed something, it's worked") Weird. UPDATE - It now seems to work. Thanks.
  2. This mod is summed up with: UT07 ---------> Renegade. It's a complete conversion, none of UT's units etc will be present. In reply - No, you can still play Unreal 3 without the need for another, seperate install. (Have you installed a Ut2004 Mod, it'd probably work like that?)

  4. Out of pure interest (and I'm aware it's a bit off topic, but we all know this mod rocks anyway) ,what are your PC's stats Fob? This heap of ancient junk is; A 2.0 Ghz P4 (Socket 478, so single core) and about 233 Mhz FSB. 1.5 GB of dead slow RAM, some sort of DDR 266 Mhz A 40 GB ATA 100 Hard Disk A Radeon 9550 512 MB (But it appears to have lost half it's RAM, as far as my drivers can see..) The motherboard is so old it needs a PCI sound card, PCI USB 2.0 card and PCI Ethernet card to get all the functions that it once could do, except USB 2.0, because it's that old. Do I win? In reply - Yep, you win. Lol! Can't even get about $500 for something that's better? I can post you some more RAM if you really want lol. I'd bet you're using SDRAM (Use http://www.crucial.com to check)

  6. No, it was unbalanced and completely unrelated to the story line... sigh. Yay for Ren 2... lets hope someone at EA feels like taking the harder path of better gameplay, than the easier one of better graphics.

    Errmmm... Nod... "which seeks global ìsalvationî " What's "ìsalvationî"? Renegade is now five years old, and The idea has been on "peoplesí" toungues. Other than that, nice. Edit - You need to check anywhere where there should be a ' because they've gone funny.
  8. I'm telling you, that will ruin smaller games. Consider. 4 Vs 4; Volcano. SBH plants nuke at the back of the Rax. A patch leaving the PP hears the beacon sound and investigates, finds and kills the SBH, then has to go back inside the PP or Rax, then get a hotty then come out and TIMES UP! BOOM! rax explodes. Whereas, if he could get a PT through the wall, he would've saved the bar. (assuming the other three team members, who probably should've been a med, hotty and sniper came back to help, they'd still be late, esp. if Nod attacks them on thier way back) At least consider making it a serverside option.
  9. Actually, you should be able to do that. Otherwise, well placed beacons will ALWAYS work in smaller (and larger, idiot filled) games.

  12. This is a particle system, not a water zone.
  13. :-x There's no water effect in Unreal Ed, (that for this, anyway, when you go underwater it has some effects) you need some sort of texture that looks like a water surface, so you can use particle systems to make waterfalls. It's not a model that's needs unwrapping and texturing, it's just a polite request for a texture that looks like a water surface.
  14. The trouble with water is that if you use a solid colour... it looks really bad.
  15. BUMP!!!! As my signature suggests, I got bored, so I made a waterfall. However, Renegade's original waterfall was a sheet waterfall (2D brush with a scrolling texture, tacky, but easy to render). Considering the sheer capability of modern PCs and the Unreal engine, I thought I'd use an emitter, however, Renegade's original waterfall texture is.... not great. If someone felt like making a waterfall texture, like the one Here (from here) that would be great. I'll try some tunnels now, like Titan suggested.
  16. No point adding detail to an object that doesn't need it, I'd rather have higher detail tanks and people, than crates, if you follow.
  17. That last paragraph is good news. So... another RTS, or maybe some sort of FPS, do you think?

  19. As a hint, Unreal engine versions have previously supported just about every image format in existance, so either of the ones you mentioned would be fine for applying to the mod.
  20. I like tommorow's technology today (which is the penultimate one) but that's because there's so much stuff you can just blow up.
