I understand, I also get your point but who is going to sound the alarm? If every one is able to do that you will hear an alarm the whole match. Like you also constantly hear "defend the base!". Maybe you can introduce a unwritten rule, like only use the "defend the base" command if absolutely necessary. Little bit like how to use mines, that is also an unwritten rule.

Is it not the job of the commander? To warn the full team about a incoming rush If no one listen to the "defend the base" command they also don't listen to a alarm which is basically the same but a different sound.

I still think that some one needs to check if that article can be removed or that there can be a new article. Lot of comments are not positive because of bugs and stuff. It still scares other people away, or it gives the impression that it will not be a succes later on. Now it is "later on" and lot of things changed

I think I was checking out old games that I liked. I had a problem finding a new nice game so I was checking old ones. I started with checking out SOF2 (soldiers of fortune 2) and on a sudden I remembered that people made renegade reborn (think my thoughts where wrong because it is tiberium reborn). And because of that I thought of renegade and voila. Don't remember exactly how I founded renx but it was so unreal to think that there was a renegade remake with active players.

Or the giant huntsman spider (Heteropoda maxima), it lives in caves. Can you imagine walking in a cave and that thing drops itself on you. DAMN SON! no fun. btw, the whip spider is actually not a spider but spider like.

A few head shots does miracles with patch, and the after burning (don't know how to say that) is also effective. I personally use patch lately as a replacement for a gunner or rocket. In some maps like horologue one or two patches can make the difference in getting the top of the hill by destroying arty's and still be able to defend them self against nod infantry. So I think one of the best ways to use it is if you want to play infantry and go in the field.

There are not many ut4 players right? Think I played it a few times. I also have quake champions. With an arena shooter it is just different. Moking each other is also kinda part of that type of games. And yeah like you also said, there is no time for it in renx. Many times if you want to type something you need press esc and need to run to repair a building or team mates. But that team feeling makes this game so good.

I also like the forum, it is nice. Just recently made a discord account but not really used it yet. I also need to get a mic. Want to try to play a pug, think it is fun but still not found the time for it.

I am glad that there is not a lot of shit talking. It sounded a bit that for you it is a bad thing. Ofcourse every one can get frustrated from time to time. But shit talking in game just because you die is just childish. You dont help anyone with that, not even yourself. Only makes the game toxic. Breath in, breath out EDIT: While talking about this. I just remember a period of time about a year ago I think, or slighly longer. There where a few players constantly fighting over the chat. (And it was not like just cursing so a little bit off topic because I think you just ment that). But anyways, if you had them on your team you know you where going to loose the match, because of not paying attention to the game.

I had a weird thing, not sure yet if I need to post it in bug reports/feedback (dont think so). Two times when I was playing as sydney I on a sudden saw two big arms on my screen. Yeah... dont know how to explain this because I was both times to late with the screenshot. The hands where facing downwards, on the left and right side I saw the arms and it was big, like 30% of my screen in total. It also looked like seeing a person giving a hug but from above....

So there where never hundreds of players if I understand right. Anyways, thanks for that piece of history. I really like this game and I have always been curious about the history about it. And about the changes and bugs and stuff, it is just part of the developing process right. Saw some videos on youtube when it was still a mod. I am also curious about the prices that this game won (you can see it on the wiki). Is there not a chance to compete for more prices? Or does it also have to do with ea rights and stuff?

Funny, I can translate this with google translate to Dutch but not to English. If we would talk about the humor part, think there is a thin line between humor and offending in this case.
