I've tried configuring minelimits, and vehiclelimits with the individual Map ini files and do not affect the map when loaded.

Am I missing something that is overriding the map ini files? Are these settings hard coded?

If they are hard coded, why even have Map ini files in the Config folder.

Can someone enlighten me if I'm overlooking a setting.

Thanks

Tony

Mine Limits and Vehicle Limits have been hardcoded as mapper-exclusive iirc. I think that setting were deprecated because in the past, some servers decided to put mine limits far above/below the intended number by mapper

Some parts are not hard-coded though

The .ini files are as already said only for the Skirmish mode. Also the preview image is set in there, so we need them. The settings for multiplayer are set in the SDK by the developer of the map.

Not just Skirmish, they are crucial for servers, as without the INI file, the server cannot load maps correctly.

We should probably fix that

I have absolutely no intention of ever moving mine and vehicle limits out of Rx_MapInfo; I was one of the people who strongly supported it being moved there to begin with lol. What I meant was that maps should be able to functional and that INI files should be optional / only needed to display info in the skirmish menu.
