YOSH has banned my IP address globally hence preventing from joining any server.I have different opinion about these updates,if you dont like it say that to me on my face rather than not answering irc and banning me globally from playing renx again.If this is the kind of behaviour i except from developers and moderators in the renegade x i say good riddance.

I really dont have to explain these to anyone,i have nothing against the games or the moderators in the CT server.Wish the game a good future.

If so he would probably have his reasons. But just checked and you are not on our global ban list. Guess multiple servers just banned you or something and if they did you need to complain there.

You were in-game earlier today. I was minding my own Ps and Qs, but I did notice someone complaining about updates, and sniping, and misinformation about snipers and updates, but I wasn't paying enough attention to know if it were you or not.

I don't know why anyone would take your opinion in a rant thread, more than you claim they should care about the dev's opinion. This isn't a civil war, it's a game. I wasn't aware there was such serious sentiments about snipers, that people have to claim they are being removed next patch, consolidated, nerfed, and all snipers globally banned. I mean, nobody has banned Cannuck yet (besides fffreak I think, but he legitimately thought he had an aimbot despite me informing him otherwise).

I truly don't know what happened, but it sounds like you just want to try and go out as loud as possible, when you neither have to go out nor be loud about it.

Everybody here probably knows by now I hate snipers more than anything in this game.

But I find it hard to believe that's why anybody would (or should) get banned.

Ok so you were banned through the IRC bot it seems. Im managing our traditional global ban list and i never put you on that. So there sort of are multiple ways to ban people i guess. Anyway this is probably best to be solved in privat chat. I guess you just got on Yosh his nerves way too much which is a bad thing cause coders got to code, dont have time for that

Honestly having a hidden bot where people can dish out bans game-wide is kind of weird and doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

I can see using it for IP collection but not to moderate.

@tokiyo you need to realize Yosh lives in Japan and how it's 6:30 AM there right now and he's probably not ignoring you but he's probably hungover/sleeping. He'll be around today to talk to but Yosh is a very logical person and I'm sure this isn't just because you whine ad nauseam about snipers.

I do remember somebody yesterday copying my name and team hampering to spite me and ended up getting a ban. The CT moderators had difficulty with it, maybe you were banned by accident in the midst of it? I don't think Yosh or anybody else banned you for criticizing the patch as their reason. I myself slapped yosh around a ton of times in the early stages of 5.1.

Yosh can be rather crazy sometimes but I'd doubt he'll ban you for such reason. It could be of something else. Maybe it was like Jeff said (nick spoofing is not new, and got wrong people kicked/banned a lot when that happens, damn irc bot). Whatever happens, you should've controlled yourself in public. This is quite embarassing, really, especially since you're a long-time player in Renegade history

And as word of warning to anyone else: if you're being accused of hacking by people, don't start pretending that you are, especially by using specifics, programs, costs, etc. Will add it explicitly to CT rules and bot messages.

Yup, you cut me from that record, but I was definitely present and made a general comment about inaccuracies in the statement. Honestly, even I found snipers at least less of the time completely obliterate me in combat if I am using a faster class. Apparently, speed differences were in fact a big factor in reliable aim.

I got on the irc the second i got banned and pmed half of the guyz on the irc, first one was yosh and he didnt even respond.He also wont respond to my pm's while he is in game(too busy playing).i live in india so i know the time difference.

Maybe its a racist thing,i came from india and all who really knows.Honestly i dont care anymore,im sickin tired of defending me against the whole community of devs and mods, as i said earlier im just a player(a lone one at that) without any accomplishment.

I quit playing renegade x the moment i got banned(cant play anyway) ,so everybody can relax not going to play renagadex in any possible future (got some pride left)and no more critisicm and sniping

To the people who really knows me

I tried my best @ resolving this ban pmed all moderators ,talked to the devs and mods since its a global ban they couldnt do anything or didnt care @ all(since im just a player and nuisance to some devs) so i posted this on renx forums .All i can say to the renegadex community is that you just lost one of the loyal player who plays with bots and fills up the server everyday and plays 6hrs a day.

@Glacius got some self respect left man no thanks.Not going to play a game which has no respect for players

A request to RenegadeCommunity plz dont give any devs(sensitive ones) or moderators power to do a global ban unless through a global vote or through a forum vote.I always see some abuse and now being a victim of one.

Look that they censored a joke about a program that doesnt even exist,OMG how much mockery or tease a player have to suffer in this community

I think hacking is an odious crime, and I acknowledge Yosh's decision as a community member. Moreover I think his reasons are totally justifiable in that context (maybe he should have learn more about the member he choose to ban globally). However as a developer, his action maybe was not the best thing to do. I mean I don't really know about developers of any AAA games who ban people. I know, Renegade X is a free, officially not AAA game, but even in this helpful and great 'little' community, Renegade X has, a banning developer just doesn't sound good. For PR reasons. Maybe I am not right, the devs are players too. And I should be thankful to you, for keeping out the creeps. Also personally I don't belive in the rightness of total permanent ban.

You appear not to want to leave, in which case I would actually ask B0ng anyway as he is on vacation atm but would probably pry in to revoke your ban. Just leave him a message.

There is a PUG tomorrow obviously, and I am pretty sure assuming B0ng will be present, that he would fiddle with the server on the spot to open your IP to join.

I wouldn't even personally ask for you to apologize for what you did do as you are claiming you were just jerking around with Vertiso, I would just unban you and tell you to stop jerking around about aimbots and sniper balance updates when you present an intimidating presence when you snipe. You are going to make newbies if not anyone else question how serious you are or if it is just being allowed, and that will drive away at least 5 randies who could have been part of the community themselves if given a chance.

I could be soft, but I would always warn before ban, would only temp ban someone who was doing something actually malicious to gameplay and wouldn't stop after a warning, and would only perm-ban someone who was actually destroying matches on a daily basis with hacks or exploits or network-flooding or something stupid. In your case, I would actually have rcon-muted you and probably for just a day at that.

I did lock this and intended to have people sort this out in private but B0ng reopened it cause I guess he thought he had to say something important. And I kinda agree that no one should globally ban someone without getting the opinions of others first. Except if you are really using an obvious cheat. If in doubt of cheating demo should be analyzed first. If using personal insults or other shit people should get a warning first.

Your case is special though as pretending to use cheats and especially linking to them is a very major crime so to speak that can justify a global ban right away imho. What you should do is to explain that the hack you named doesn't exist and that it was all just a (bad) joke. If the hack you named does exist then You have a problem. If it doesn't I think we should turn this into a warning and lift the ban. But you make this harder on yourself by rambling instead of just explaining and apologizing for what you said.

The irc conversation between vertiso and me was a joke between us.Lots of the player does that (play in game to know that),if player1 get killed with headshot by player2 the player1 says hax and player2 says sure bro

RypeL people talks about hacks all the time and no one ever cares about it,you should play enough games or see chats to see it and no one bans globally for that.

I don't think "Yosh is out to get you", I also don't think there is any reason to keep you perm banned, even if Yosh DID think there was some reason to keep you perm-banned I think there is enough evidence to have kept you temp-banned.

But, as RypeL even said, while he doesn't think global bans should be thrown around lightly, talking about a udk aimbot hack is pretty taboo, especially naming one. If a joke name for one, it was a poor taste in joke. Vertiso has been known to get himself into trouble with poor humor himself (joking about ddoses), so it isn't specially you. If it's an actual cheat that exists, I still don't think you deserve a perm ban, but we certainly aren't going to apologize for letting you indulge in talk about things that semi-ruin the game.

Snipers and skill and all are good and well, nothing can be done about all that nonsense, but getting a ton of headshots in a game from skill (which I always assumed you and Cannuck and others used) and then bragging about aimbots is very detrimental to players that don't know you are joking. I am saying this in context of that in-game chat by the way, people have brought up aimbots before and made it super-obvious sarcasm and there isn't anything wrong with that.

Basically, we don't expect an apology from you, but we also aren't issuing an apology to you, and we also don't think Yosh is out to get you. Just have your ban disputed and removed, and continue on with life.

You could've explained the situation calmly without attacking someone with a fiery rant in public, let alone a dev. That's just going to indirectly hurt this game, which is the last thing we need.

Today i, Tokiyo recieved a private message from a dev saying my global ban has lifted and im free to play renx again and they would like me to play again.Since im a renegade addict and cant get a fix without playing it,i take upon these generous offer redownloaded the renegade x and the patch again, after playing a map, i was kicked again from the server for no reason, the server im referring to is constructive tyranny the only populated server in the whole renx server list.i been warned if i joined server i will be perm banned again

I would really like devs and mods to stop insulting and treating me like this,I dont like to say the word racist but sure as hell feels like it. All i can say is renx devs has succeed in hurting me deeply. All Yosh has to do was stop telling me to play this game but you had to humiliate me in front of the renegade community all over again.

I wont be defending this time, you can bash me all around,lock the topic ,delete the thread whatever you want,there wont be any repercussions from me.

Okay, look. This is already being discussed anyway. Between the actual people who are involved, the way it is supposed to be.

Vertiso can't handle his own problems he occasionally digs himself into, he is hardly the person you ask about this.

You were not globally banned. You were even requested to be globally banned, and declined out of the good grace of the dev team. If you were banned on CT, "citing racism and being toxic" is hardly a reason to keep a perm-ban unless you keep it up like you are trying to. If you were to stop now, then it would be discussed, that you probably didn't do anything enough to earn a perm-ban, and people would actually help you.

Right now, you are being difficult to help. This is how you get into a permanent ban, not how you get out of a permanent ban. If anyone can help you, it is if you stop threads like these, right here and right now. Tomorrow, may be too late for anyone to offer help.

If you want to discuss why you were banned, then you talk to the moderator that banned you, the server owner of the server you were banned on, and the devs themselves who try to maintain a community to play their game. If Yosh is hard to contact, and Agent won't discuss it because she isn't involved, and B0ng is on vacation, then talk to Rypel or Havoc89, tell them it was blown out of proportion and you were banned for a joke and were sorry about it and wouldn't make the same joke again, and they would probably personally request your ban be brought down to less-than-permanent.

I repeat, you do not discuss bans by being toxic on public forums. You discuss them by being apologetic, to the channels that have authority, whether the moderator, the server owner, the patch/server dev-member, even the most senior active devs (which you failed to contact).
