Though that would explain things, lack of comm options, balance issues, large pop performance issues. Totem Arts is building the game for lowpop TS coordinated matches, and yet its played as a large pop pub game without third party comm tools. Im wondering if they ever tried the 64 player mode before the beta launch.

People on public servers can barely do an apache rush even when an experienced player is organizing the rush let alone properly test a new release of a game.

What do you expect the devs to do, open the testing up to everyone? That's what the OPEN beta is.

Also, the 15 you're referring to is 15 from TmX. There will also be 15 from EKT and maybe a few others. That makes 30 plus.

Should be fine, I don't think it needs to be trimmed down to 15 exactly. So long as it isn't too many more. The listed names, are those the user names on the forums?

While I share your frivor for not balancing the game for too high a skill ceiling... The devs have done this before and honestly it hasn't turned out too bad.

They will get to test it sure, but from what I seen of the devs, if they play it and nack at balance issues with emp disarming mines or ramjet damage, the devs will release the same game by February's end.

They will likely only change functionality issues, not balance issues. Like if EMPs started damaging enemies inside of it, or there was a way to make a smoke grenade effect permanent by EMPing it or something stupid.

I would feel less jealous though if someone streamed gameplay of it :cool::D

I will happily stream it as long as the Devs don't mind as end of the day up to them :P

I don't see that happening anytime soon, publishing gameplay of closed betas have never been allowed before (with exceptions off course, think of the tutorial video that's been made :P)

Can you repost or e-mail me the list in private if you are not comfortable to revealing all of the info on this topic regarding the roster list? Members are to be added in the newly formed Phase IV Beta Testers group.
